at this site at the moment, it is a beautiful site, a great family holiday. we are camping, got a great pitch, plenty of room, good even ground. the parks are great for kids and there are beautiful views of the beach plus sunset will be back asap!

User

Weve just had the best weekend here. Spotless clean. Plenty to do for children. Feels safe and everyone was really friendly. The pool is.perfect for kids, lovely walks and play areas. The set up of the site had a great community feel..cant wait to go back xx

We've just been camping at Waren for four nights. The site is very well looked after. Our pitch in the adult only area was great. The staff were really helpful and friendly. As the weather was fantastic, we were glad to be able to put our freezer blocks in the freezer each day and keep our cool bag from warning up!!! If I'd had my swimming costume with me I'd have gone in the pool as it looked very inviting. Great to have the bar there too.

User

Very clean and tidy. Well looked after site. Helpful friendly staff. Booked in for two nights.

Came across this by accident was heading to Budle Bay.

User

Surprised by some of the negative comments here. Camped for a night this month with my two girls (2 & 4) and was excellent. Clearly is a family friendly site with plenty to do and short distance to bamburgh and sea houses. Family washrooms were very clean. Much cleaner than I would have thought considering how busy the site was. Didn't eat in the restaurant as camping is all about BBQ and stove for me. Shop was good and prices reasonable also. Pint ok in the bar. Will definitely be back next year for a few days.

User

Stayed one night camping in adult bit to try out camping and loved the site. Clean and tidy friendly and accomdating will def recommend to others!

User

Nice to go somewhere after 15 years and it’s exactly the same! Unfortunately could only stay 2 nights but certainly wasn’t long enough. Lovely to watch my daughter have her first time camping in a tent and have the exact same fun as I did as a kid doing the exact same things . Will certainly be back !

User

Just spent 8 nights on touring site...originally only booked for 3. Fabulous place, especially if you have kids as there's LOADS of enclosed space for them to play in. Staff there are fab...really friendly, super-efficient and nothing too much trouble. Les and Kim even put on a treasure hunt for the kids while we were there. Will definitely return. Great base for exploring North Northumberland and Scottish borders. This is a site geared for children. I've read a number of people complaining about 'unruly' kids. Far more attitude problems among several of the adults who choose to blatantly ignore politely-given instructions.

User

Just returned from a fantastic weekend camping at this campsite and it was everything we could wish for. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the facilities are fantastic. Perfect weekend and we will defo return.

User

Just got home from our extended stay at Waren! Kids loved despite the gloomy weather they still had lots of fun! Clean facilities park well maintained! Friendly staff!! We will be back!

User

If you get the weather this is an amazing place. I've stayed here twice now once at easter and just did 6 nights this summer holidays and I will definitely be back. There is plenty for my son who is 8 to do I never heard the words "I'm bored" all week. It's in a great location to get to Bamburgh and also Seahouses which both have amazing beaches to explore and there are plenty of shops to get supplies. Well done to the people who run this site keep up the fantastic job that you do and we will definitely be seeing you again thank you for our stay

Had a great Easter weekend at Warren. Yes it was cold and wet but that's the British weather for you. Our allocated pitch was waterlogged upon arrival so they found us an alternative pitch which was fine. It was very muddy around the vans and awning and heard people complaining, which is mad! The site can't control the weather and after Seeing some other site pics, this was nowhere near as bad. The people on site were very friendly and helpful and were around to tow us off on leaving day. Toilets and showers clean and family bathrooms large and plenty hot water. The kids still managed to have fun in the park, disco and games zone and adults still managed to relax and enjoy the wine and food (highly recommend the nachos!) Brilliant.

User

Family of 4, stopped on the tented area for 4 nights and had a terrific time. Kids are 11 and 6, made loads of friends and had plenty to do. The bar is reasonably priced as is the food. Yes the shop is a bit pricey but so are the surrounding shops. Great location too and would definitely return.

User

Absolutely fantastic stay at Waren this weekend. Amazing location, fantastic facilities. Perfect for families. Highly recommended

User

Why oh why do you want chips that are limp as a lettuce leaf, please use the right potato for the job, or just use frozen which actually go crisp. Please also have a relative staff level to cope with the level of business. People having to wait 5+ minutes to get a drink whilst food is being served as only 1 bar /food service person on duty, obviously post food service no extra staff required

User

We liked it. We went on our first camping trip as a family. The only thing that spoiled it was the rain which can't be helped and also the food in the restaurant wasn't great and was expensive and the man that took our order wasn't very polite. Other than that we thought it was a great place and we would go again but not to the witch and worm restaurant.

User

This is a beautiful campsite. There are glorious views to the sea from the play area at the top where you can sit with a drink from the on site pub while the kids play. There are two play areas with good equipment and a zip wire and a pool and my kids had the best holiday ever here....they made so many friends in just 6 days and there are safe open play areas in the middle where you can watch them from your caravan or tent etc. It's the kind of place you can go and just stay on site because your kids will be happy just there. So why only 4*? The shop is VERY expensive and poorly stocked for peak season.....there is so much room for improvement here.......we had to go out to shop because it was just too much for us and never had much in......we also found the plots small....you couldn't get a standard tent and a car next to them you felt like you were on top of the next people. Our plot had clearly been so well used and they had put woodchip down to try and prevent it being boggy but the ground was very uneven with molehills?! and despite airbeds it wasn't too comfortable. On our last night we didn't buy food in as we planned to eat in the onsite pub but we were told one of the waitresses had mixed up everyone's orders so they were so far behind they had to stop taking orders. To be fair they did seem a bit lost. They were young and seemed seasonal like they didn't really know what they were doing......that said these things happen so we wouldn't let that put us off going back and giving it a second chance. I didn't want to risk the kids not eating though so ended up having to go off-site. Shame really......the park would have been pretty much perfect otherwise. Despite the above.....we would still go back....for the site layout, location and friendly atmosphere, although maybe in a caravan next time. Hopefully they will have taken on board the comments re the shop too!

User

Excellent site, been many times and will continue to go but just one things that really bugs me.

- Why pay for pitch then add ons like Awning, Dog and really not happy that you pay "per kid" after the pitch. I could understand if you needed passes to get into entertainment (like haggerston castle) but there is none so why pay "per kid". Should just pay for the pitch and that's it regardless of whether you have 5 kids or 1 kid.

I will continue to go but not if we pay prices at £84 for 2 nights.

Was booked in for 3 nights but only managed one night due to the mud and rain. Toilets very clean and showers very clean. Gutted we had to cut our weekend short due to the weather and the mess of the mud under, around and in our tent
