Went to westmount for my very first time and it's the best dentist by far. You can go in with confidence. Lovely and friendly staff that give you a warm welcome. 5 star rating 5 star dentist. �

Visited for the first time today feeling very nervous,but from walking through the door to leaving,was made to feel completely at ease.Bas, the treatment coordinator was amazing,informing me about all options available for my treatment and answering all my questions.I left feeling that I had been treated as an individual and not just a patient number on a list.Would highly recommend this practice to anyone nervous about visiting the dentist.

Took my 5 year old daughter for an emergency appointment today. As she’d been complaining of toothache. The staff were brilliant with her. Talked to her all the way through and kept it calm. Even the practice manager Katherine came to support her. They were fab all round. They made her feel relaxed and calm and a pleasant as can be experience for her. Thanks to the staff. Happy child = happy mother

Matt has restored my confidence in dentists. I had a very bad experience many years ago and have been terrified of going to the dentist. I knew last year that I should bite the bullet and go so when I registered with Westmount I was recommended to see Matt. He has the most calming manner and understood how scared I was. I was lucky enough to only need a filling initially but quickly followed by root canal treatment. I can honestly say that at no point was I in pain and thanks to the magic gel (for Children lol) I didn't even feel the injection to numb my mouth! I've been back a few times now and I'm very confident again. Also, Charlotte the hygienist is fab, I've never been to one before but she really does have a lovely manner too. Thank you so much for helping me overcome the fear of dentists, I'd recommend them highly xx

Just finished my implant treatment and can't say how happy I am with them. I am a new person thanks to Ash and everyone at west mount dental surgery, I can't recommend them enough.

Just been for a check up after avoiding the dentist for the last 5 years (due to bad experiences). I signed up to Westmount due to friends and family telling me how great Matt was with his nervous patients. I went this morning and saw Matt for my check up who was absolutely fantastic in understanding I was extremely nervous, he couldn’t have put me more at ease. I then saw Michelle for minor treatment but her friendly nature instantly relaxed me and the treatment was done and over with within 10 minutes. I have another appointment booked for 6 months time and for once I’m not a bunch of nerves thinking about it. Thank you Matt and Michelle and everyone at Westmount � brilliant service!

I’ve only ever had one Dentist my whole life since being 4 years old sadly he retired. Since then I haven’t trusted anyone else or met anyone as amazing as he was until I met Kru at Westmount Dental Surgery in Jarrow! What a credit to the team! Such a lovely sweet guy and very gentle and considerate. Highly recommend him and I really like the rest of the team Lauren & Mary on reception and Shaunagh the Dental Nurse are always really kind and helpful when visiting.

I've just been in for a quick discussion on teeth whitening options with Carly, she was super friendly and welcoming and managed to make the whole process comfortable and simple. Very honest about expected results without making it seem 'salesy' but definitely hooked me in to use Westmount Dental for this service. She showed genuine interest and even offered to be available after my appointment if I didn't understand anything in the process. I look forward to showing the results that people have recommended from here.

I must say after turning up at 9am this morning without an appointment crying in pain I was promptly seen and reassured I would be helped.... I'm a terrified patient who always has sedation but the pain was unbearable seen dentist Matt who numbed my tooth drilled removed a nerve helped an abcess and patched me all back up within minutes and I never felt a thing.... So gentle and kind and I will never ask for sedation or use another practice I cannot describe how happy and pain free I now am �

I cant speak highly enough about the team at Westmount. My Dentist, Matt, is an absolute legend. He was kind, patient and really made me feel cared for throughout. From my smile consultation with Bas to my treatment with Matt and his team of nurses I can honestly say it was a pleasure and the end result is absolutely outstanding!! I can smile with confidence for the first time in years and I couldn't be happier. Thank you all at Westmount, you are amazing!

Excellent dental practice! I'm very selective about who I have prodding around in my mouth and I can't recommend this place enough. Today I was expertly looked after by Helen Whyte and Shaunagh. I was made to feel fully at ease, everything was fully explained and all my questions were answered. The people on reception were also very polite, professional and knowledgeable. Overall a very positive experience - thank you!

Can’t recommend enough. After a few bad experiences with different dentists, I’m very selective about the dental service I choose. Today I had a double appointment at the Jarrow surgery for myself and my 17 month old sons first check up.

The staff were helpful from me entering the building, helping hold doors open to get my pram in (it’s the little things). The dentist I saw, Gavin, was wonderful with my son, letting him explore the environment and completing a throughout check up by distracting him with lights and suggested tickling him to get him to open his mouth which worked a treat and caused him no distress. He gave advice and informed me on what to expect next from his dental development. When it was my turn my son became a little upset when in his pram, the dental nurses were quick to entertain him. During an X-ray my son had to leave the room, a dental nurse Shaunagh asked if she could hold him, which I thought was very thoughtful. She entertained him with his toys. She sat with him and comforted him for the rest of my appointment.



It really is the little things that make the difference. A trip to the dentist with a baby doesn’t sound like fun and has the potential to be really stressful, but here it was the opposite. Very helpful and friendly staff, and great service �

After having a bad experience at another dentist, I avoided the dentist for almost 2 year but after pregnancy had a bad effect on my oral hygiene, I had no choice but to find a new dentist.. And what a great choice I made!

I can't fault any of the staff, they are all so welcoming, friendly and professional. I'm no longer nervous about going to the dentist as I know I will always be welcomed with smiles, reassurance and painfree treatment.

My very shy 19 month old daughter even loves coming to the dentist. She has had two check ups with our dentist Matt and she lets him check her teeth with no fuss.. And that is down to how friendly, gentle and patient he is.

After an awful experience in the past with dentists, today I had my first appointment at Westmount with Matt. He did an examinination, put me at ease and even when I was given the option of going to someone else for sedation for an extraction or having Matt do it, I chose Matt! Can’t recconmend Westmount highly enough for anxious patients. Now I’m looking forward to having my 3 treatment appointments to get back on track with my dental care ❤️ Can’t believe the difference in 24hours! Thank you!

After a bad experience at previous dentist, i was recommended by Chris Forrest to go to this establishment and I had dr kru fit me in on a emergency appointment same day & I had a infected root canal that fractured causing me much distress and pain! This young man cleared his diary for around 2 hours meaning helping me by removing the tooth with much patience and deliberation! I am glad to have chosen this dentist. It was a tough tooth to remove and he was lovely towards me making sure I was comfortable throughout. I would Highly recommend. Polite and attentive to his patient. The tooth has heeled lovely and I’m glad to be pain free. Thank you.

After years of not going to the dentist because of awful past experiences, I ended up in horrendous pain! At that point I knew I had to face the dentist chair or “BUTCHERS” I called them! I rang 111 for a emergency appointment and was given westmount dential telephone number. The girls on the phone were lovely and got me straight in. My dentist was a lovely man called Matty (my tooth fairy aha) he put me at ease. Matty booked me in with Michelle to get some fillings and Michelle was just a sweet heart. Listened and reassured me throughout everything. Also had the dreaded tooth extraction with Matty and it was awful (but these things are never nice), but through that awfulness Matty spoke to me, reassured me and kept me calm! These guys are amazing and I have my confidence back to go to the dentist! I have even joined my children I trust these guys so much! ... thank you Matty and Michelle
