WHQ has an attitude free, girl-friendly, multi racial, block party vibe every weekend. It’s kinda like a really good party in a comfy little secret house! We are truly independent, underground & aim to expose as much diverse music as possible. Each weekend we spin all kinds of black music & also good records from all other genres too.
What we do is a people thing & is a refreshingly credible & cosmopolitan alternative to the City's out dated, corporate leisure group, stag party type groove. At WHQ, the far out music we are into & the up for it, hands in the air, switched on crowd who come, are the stars.
We want everyone who comes here to feel truly uplifted by the music we play. We’re also ridiculous value & are basically half the price of other places & twice as good. . . .
If you’ve never been before, you should give it a try, you’ll be amazed.
We're very popular with tourists & visitors to the City, as one of our aims is to create a club in Newcastle that would work just as well in any other city in the world.

Having only released MILK X Lab Ncl Presents: AKOV (Eatbrain) on Sunday, the response has been the absolute best! Big up each and everyone who's already on this absolute weight of a lineup.
Unfortunately there are only a limited number of Early Birds available for this collaboration event and we can't recommend hopping on them sooner rather than later and saving some sweet, sweet P.

Todd Terry is one of the producers who helped to define New York's house music during the 1980s. Terry's productions can be described as a varied collection of samples blending the sounds of classic disco, the more introspective Chicago sound pioneered earlier in the decade, plus plenty of hip-hop attitude and sampling.
Todd has been engulfed in dance music since he first started listening to European dance music records while growing up in Brooklyn. Already devoted to turntables, he heard something different in those tracks and he 'went for the difference. I never got a break in New York, but England happened right away so I catered to them.’ In any event, the Todd Terry sound was born...
By 1988, Todd Terry hit big in Europe and his notoriety was making its way back to US. In addition to DJ appearances, Todd was cutting his classic underground tracks ‘A Day In The Life’, ‘Weekend’ and’ Can You Party’, released under monikers such as the Todd Terry Project, House Of Gypsies and Royal House, all considered essential and ground breaking.
Nowadays Todd is one of the world’s most celebrated figures in dance music. With almost two decades of dance floor domination under his belt, the quality of his productions goes from strength to strength. And he releases on esteemed labels like Clone as well as many others.

Yup chums, it's that time of year again, when we remember & celebrate David, on the anniversary weekend of his passing.
We have a big live show with the Transatlantic Ensemble earlier in the evening @ Wylam Brewery & after that Tommy takes to the decks upstairs in WHQ to spin an epic solo after-party set of all David's biggest hits, back to back, on our 'Sound System of Dreams' from 11.00 pm until the early morning.
It's become something of an annual ritual here @ WHQ, so exp...ect to hear all your faves as well as many tunes David recorded that you may not even know.
It's nothing but pure Bowie all night & it absolutely kicks..!!
