Recently Cdts from the Sqn were the first in Thames Valley Air Cadets to undertake initial weapons training and live fire marksmanship training on the L144A1 weapon system. A big thank you to Radley College CCF for their hospitality!
Happy Easter everyone!
The cadets had a fab time at the RAF Cosford museum today! They looked at a large range of Cold War aircraft, had a go on the flight simulator (as well as a slightly ‘smaller’ ride), and competed in the Cosford quiz! They even discovered a photo of Flt Lt Jefferiss as a cadet on the Gibraltar camp....a long time ago! Then it was back to the Sqn for pizza before parade!
What did you do this weekend? Our cadets were learning new skills by undertaking air rifle initial weapons training followed by live fire marksmanship training! #whatwedo
Today Cdts from the Sqn attended ground training school at 637 Volunteer Gliding Squadron. They saw the Viking glider up close and completed the blue aviation training syllabus.
The cadets have been doing extremely well at the Sqn! Last night, cadets were awarded First Class, Leading and Master cadet badges, and there were four cadets promoted to Cpl, and a Sgt was promoted to FS! Well done!

This weekend saw the culmination of the Sqn air rifle strategy as our shooting team entered the Council for Cadet Rifle Shooting Match F air rifle postal competition. The competition involved four 5 round deliberate practices per cadet after zeroing the weapons and sighting shots.
Well done to this Air Cadet!
