Adlington St Paul'S Ce Primary School

The children showed exemplary sportsmanship at the athletic finals this week and represented Adlington St Paul’s outstandingly. We are super proud of them all!

School closes on Friday 14th February 2020 at 3.15pm and reopens on Monday 24th February 2020 at 8.45am.

The primary quiz final was held tonight. We didn’t win but the whole competition was very close. There were only 6 points between the first and last teams. Our team worked well together and were, as always, a credit to the school. Well done team.

Last week, our Year 1 children transformed themselves into superheroes to thwart Professor Slime’s evil plan. He had left a series of naughty instructions around school for the children to find and follow. It was our job to follow the clues, find them first and change the naughty instructions into nice instructions. Great work Year 1!

Year 5 having ’snow’ much fun!!

The school Ethos group did a fabulous job of telling everyone about Candlemas this morning. Well done everyone. Well done to all the children from school who joined us for the family service. They were all a credit to school.

Our Reception parents/carers are invited into school on Friday (24th) at 9.15am to see the children’s Chinese New Year Celebrations. This should be approximately 15-20 minutes. Thank you.

Science Club on Friday evening was so much fun! We learned about the digestive system and it’s processes.

Year 5 are very lucky to be having art lessons from a secondary teacher. They are hard at work painting Tutankhamen. Watch this space for the finished masterpieces.

Year 5 have been mummifying apples and tomatoes! They learned about the mummification process and enjoyed recreating this.

Our Reception children have been rescuing Peter Polar Bear from the ice.
We had to think of different ways to melt it. We hugged him, we put water on him, we bashed the ice and even put him in the microwave!
We are superb at investigating!

The children thoroughly enjoyed our Mad Science assembly yesterday. Letters to sign up to their after school club have been sent home with children.

Our School Council would like to raise money for Save the Children.
On Friday 13th December, children are invited to wear a Christmas jumper to school (still in usual uniform) and bring a £1 donation.
