😎☀️Have you booked your summer break yet?☀️😎
We are delighted to have such a busy season, and have only 3️⃣ nights available before September - Tuesday 13th to Friday 16th August ~ £750 for up to 8 guests.
Our activities file is brimming with ideas for how to keep the family entertained. Whether it’s walking with a llama, quad biking, canoeing on Derwentwater and learning bushcraft, tree top treks, mountain bike hire for forest trails, visiting Hadrians Wall, a Wildlife Park... or the magical world of Beatrix Potter ... the list goes on.
And if you’d prefer a quieter holiday, you can pour a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.

So happy to receive this lovely review today 😊👏
“If you are looking for a lovely homely house with lots of space and superb views, this is the place!! The house is like the beautiful pictures and better! We had a wonderfull time there with our two adult sons and their partners. The house is spotlessly clean, very spacious and beautifully decorated like e cosy home. Peter and Barbara are very kind and helpfull and make you feel very welcome. We would definetly recommend it and we would love to come back there!” Dian, Rotterdam.

I don’t ever remember the hawthorn around the cottage blossoming this pink before. Just beautiful, wonder what the reason is?

Relax and unwind ... read a book ... have a leisurely morning coffee ... and enjoy far reaching views from this lovely unspoilt area of the northern lakes. We have 4 nights, 24th to 28th June still available. £590 for up to eight guests (with 10% off for a couple)

A walk in the Lake District doesn’t have to be very high or challenging to give you amazing views and a real sense of achievement. At Tarn Hows the scenery is breathtaking and you don’t need to head up the fell like me, there’s a picturesque circular walk around the tarn of only two miles with picnic places & perfect vistas.

Just love to find these little notes 😘 - it totally makes my day! Thank you.

Isn’t nature wonderful. Tulip ‘Mariette’ looking lovely.

Just down the road there’s a field full of inquisitive Llamas. These and Alpacas are becoming popular here in the northern Lakes, you can even go on treks with them at the Lingholm Estate near Keswick and Lakeland Llama Treks near Penrith. Sounds like fun! 🦙

Our lovely Easter guests certainly made the most of the stunning weather during their stay with some great walks and activities including Castle Crag & Go Ape treetop trek. A mantelpiece full of creative homemade easter cards too. Thanks for sharing your photos Dave & Nicola 😊

A very happy Easter to everyone 🐣 We are delighted to have Dave, Nicola, Joel, Lydia and their friends returning to Aiverthwaite - it’s going be a gorgeous Easter weekend too.

These two gorgeous cherry trees are on the road to Keswick beside Dodd Wood, such a beautiful contrast to the hills and Bassenthwaite Lake behind. Just thought I’d share 😊

On your Lake District holiday If real ale is your tipple, here’s three great alternatives ... 🍺
Behind the Old Crown pub in Hesket Newmarket which nestles in the Caldbeck fells is Hesket Brewery, one of the first co-operatively owned microbreweries in Cumbria brewing distinctive and full flavoured real ales which have featured many times in the Good Beer Guide. The ‘Crown’ is a lovely old and characterful pub to spend a few hours in, talk to the locals and sample the ales....
Twelve miles away in Cockermouth Jennings Brewery, established in 1828, still uses time honoured traditional methods to brew their real ale. You can take a one hour brewery tour complete with samples of the famous Jennings Bitter noted for its malty taste, Cocker Hoop, Cumberland Ale or the strong Sneck Lifter.
The Kirkstile Inn is set at the foot of Melbreak and offers breathtaking views from its lovely beer garden. The pub has its own brewery – Cumbria Legendary ales – the producer of award winning Loweswater Gold. There is a beer festival here from 25th to 27th April, 11am to 11pm which boasts another 20 beers from around the country so beer drinkers are in for a real treat.
Aiverthwaite is available during those dates, reduced now to £695 for up to 8 people for three nights with 10% reduction for 4 only. 07790 908587. Info@aiverthwaite.co.uk
