We went for the First time at Fletchers Bar on Wednesday 30th May, the decor has been done really sympathetically to the building. Staff very attentive and friendly. We didn’t eat there as we had just eaten in The Old stables next door which once again was fab. We just wanted to have a look around and had a couple of drinks, so we returned yesterday for lunch at Fletchers Bar. Once again staff friendly food lovely and fresh and what a beautiful view. Would definitely recommend Fletchers or The Stables, can’t fault either.

User

We love this place, always get a warm welcome off the staff and the food is lovely.

User

We have just revisited here for afternoon tea. I went a. Month ago for my friends birthday present and was less than satisfied. However a following on from a poor review I gave I was contacted by the manager and invited to return.

Well what a difference it was first class from a cheery, friendly welcome to much improved food. It was all I hoped for first time around.

Definitely recommended and would go back again.

Thank you to Craig and all his staff.

We had our wedding in The Hayloft and it was completely perfect from booking it to the 2am ending! The whole team are incredible and supportive of all ideas, plans, decisions and wishes. They guided us in our decision making as me and my husband are fairly laidback and indecisive so we were given recommendations that we were more than happy with. The food is unreal and the venue is just mind blowing, especially when you get a random sunny day in a week of bleak weather. Everybody has worries before a wedding that things will go wrong but the team handled everything to perfection and we genuinely couldn't have asked for more. There was always somebody available to speak to with any questions or worries we had and they always put us at ease. Get married here and you won't regret it!!!

User

We had our wedding here last week 7.9.18

We done our whole day with allerton manor everything was perfect from start to finish.

The food was amazing and the venue it’s self is stunning. The team were absolutely fantastic from our first meeting with Lydia I was confident our day would go well.

Damon was fantastic on the day and nothing seemed a problem for anyone even helping out when our little boy had abit of meltdown.

All our guests commented our how beautiful the room looked, the outside terrace is gorgeous it’s fabulous when you get a sunny day in the autumn. I’m so glad we chose allerton manor for our special day I am still on cloud 9 and haven’t quite got over what a fantastic day we had.

If your considering a wedding here I would highly recommend you won’t be disappointed

Thank you

Played as one of a four ball Sunday 3rd June. The course was in excellent condition and a good test for all.

After the golf our families came for lunch and the food and service were excellent .

We will be back to do the same again ASAP

User

Played Allerton manor as part of a four ball following winning a facebook competition. I haven't played there for over 10 years and the difference is immense. The course is tricky in places with narrow fairways lined by over hanging trees so playing straight is a must. The Greens are in excellent condition and have plenty of break in them to test out all levels of player. While it isn't the longest it still requires some thinking off the tee.

Thanks for holding the competition which brought me back to the course. We will definitely be returning to play in the near future.

Also the restaurant looks really nice so will try that out too on our next visit.

Keep up the good work

User

Just coming up to 6 weeks since joining Allerton Manor GC after leaving my previous Golf club after nearly 5 years. All I can say is I’ve made the right decision - although it was a “forced” move to AMGC, Bryan and his team have made the switch a total pleasure! Made to feel very welcome, the facilities are first class and the course improvements so far & the planned ones show the ambition Mike and his staff have for the club. The staff in the restaurant can’t do enough for you and the food is outstanding. Roll on the new Captains Drive In on 12th May and the opening of Fletcher’s clubhouse......keep up the good work & happy to be part of it!

User

Joined just over a month ago.

Love the facilities, the old stables and pro shop look great. The food is great in the restaurant and well priced too.

The course is in good shape, considering the rain we have had, we haven't seen any standing water on the greens and little or none on the fairways. The greens have a good roll to them. The tee boxes need work, I can't see that being an issue for very much longer however as they are keen to get the course to a high level.

The course is very much risk and reward. Although it is short, there is very little room for error if you stray off line. It took me 3 rounds to realise I don't need to use my driver every hole. trees line most fairways and you will find yourself chipping out if you venture in there. hitting straight and short beats hitting long and left/right.

I've two concerns, the first is the pace, and this is not really anyone's fault but the golfers. There are too many people unaware of the etiquette of allowing quicker players to play through. We got stuck behind a two ball on Sunday, constantly waiting to play our shots. They where a full hole behind the pace of play, we actually saw them tee off as we drove in, we got changed and went in to the pro shop then tee'd off 20 minutes behind them and despite all that we caught up to them at the 8th. That's where they need a Marshall in a buggie or even let the green keepers tell players to let others through.

The second is people in jeans or trackie bottoms.

What possesses anyone to go and play golf in jeans! I'm 28, far from a golf snob, but just put golf pants on. How hard is it! It may sound petty, but if they can't be bothered to put pants on, are they bothering to repair pitch marks or divots?

Do we really want those people at this course? That should be something that they need to change. Just because it's pay and play doesn't mean you can turn up looking like you're going for the morning paper.

They should change the rule and state no denim, collared shirts etc.

User

Joined Allerton this month after a year else where and very pleased with it. The facilities off the course are brilliant and more is still to come. The course itself is getting a lot of work done to it but dont let that put you off its very playable and is in great condition considering the work and weather of late. Some greens are wet (nothing sitting) but nothing the club can do over weather but they still roll well. Tee boxes do need work but that is openly admitted by the club staff and they are working on them. Overall the club seems to be going in a good direction with the investment and we are looking forward to when it is finished.

User

I love the place and having seen it evolve to what it is now ..... I just want to be there. Even if I am not shooting a round *****

User

I haven't been here for a good while now and I have to say i was very pleasantly suprised. What you have done to the place is just fab! Myself and my partner went for a bite to eat yesterday afternoon. Staff were friendly and the food was nice. Such a relaxing place. My partner went back that evening with our 8 year old to play on the putting green, which my little boy loved. He's thinking about joining them both up. A hotel and spa would be the icing on the cake.

User

I booked The Old Stables for my daughters graduation meal! We had an amazing time, the food was fabulous, the staff were really helpful and attentive. We had children with us and they loved it and can’t wait to go back. So thank you everyone for making Lynsey’s evening really enjoyable xxx

User

Food amazing staff are friendly. And it’s not a bad golf course either .

User

A wonderful place to spend time with your family on a very sunny day

User

28 members of our golf club played at allerton manor today. The course for this time of year was in great condition with buggies for the older players also available everyone had a great day. The staff were friendly and the breakfast before the round was huge, i would highly recommend allerton manor and i look forward to playing it in the future.

User

The course is greatly improved and the the new club house/restaurant is excellent the only slight problem when we went into fletchers the new sports bar after playing was getting served it wasn't busy inside but both staff were busy making pre ordered coffee and drinks for a function so after waiting 10minutes we left and went to the main clubhouse/restaurant

User

It was the first time I'd been to Allerton for about a year and was really impressed with the new clubhouse facilities, the restaurant was full of not only golfers, but people just having lunch or a quiet afternoon drink in the sunshine.

The course was pretty similar to what it was before as far as layout goes, but with improvements the the tee boxs and with work ongoing to bunkers on certain holes.

The highlight for me was the greens which were all very good.

I'm looking forward to going back as the year progresses and seeing how the course and facilities improve with the new investment.

Played Allerton manor as part of a four ball following winning a facebook competition. I haven't played there for over 10 years and the difference is immense. The course is tricky in places with narrow fairways lined by over hanging trees so playing straight is a must. The Greens are in excellent condition and have plenty of break in them to test out all levels of player. While it isn't the longest it still requires some thinking off the tee.

Thanks for holding the competition which brought me back to the course. We will definitely be returning to play in the near future.

Also the restaurant looks really nice so will try that out too on our next visit.

Keep up the good work

I love the place and having seen it evolve to what it is now ..... I just want to be there. Even if I am not shooting a round *****

Food amazing staff are friendly. And it’s not a bad golf course either .

A wonderful place to spend time with your family on a very sunny day

28 members of our golf club played at allerton manor today. The course for this time of year was in great condition with buggies for the older players also available everyone had a great day. The staff were friendly and the breakfast before the round was huge, i would highly recommend allerton manor and i look forward to playing it in the future.
