They had a Duck salad starter on the ‘specials board’ and it was absolutely amazing. Everything was so nice and we thoroughly enjoyed it!! �

The food was absolutely gorgeous �I was day dreaming about it all the nxt day we will definitely be going back soon staff was really happy and friendly x

Staff where warm and friendly, made my mums 70th extra special occasion. There was 19 of us and they where very quick but not rushed with the food. Everyone in our party was raving about their food too .... handcooked chips too die for!!!! Thank you so much. Definitely recommend.

Quite a regular at the Almond. Never disappointed. Normally a fish or seafood person. Decided on the liver and bacon option. It was so lovely. However the portions were really too much. So think smaller portions and maybe a colourful veg might make this dish more presentable. Very tasty though.

I was there last night for my cousins 30th and although there was nearly 40 of us upstairs it was a bit cramped but we couldn't fault the food and service!!! We expected some mix up or delays due to the size of our party but it went smoothly and every course was lovely!! I got the lamb rump and it's the best I've ever tasted!! I do have a confession though? I took a sticky toffee pudding instead of chocolate fudge cake like I'd ordered because it looked lovely and it was � defiantly be back thank you xx �

Held my baby shower here upstairs at the weekend and wanted to say a big thank you to all the girls working who helped make it a fabulous day enjoyed by all! Food and drink was delicious and nothing was too much trouble would definitely recommend for a private function.

Had a lovely celebration meal there tonight for my good friends 65th. birthday, was a fabulous meal, beautifully cooked and presented and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much for helping to make night special, and thank you for a great meal and great service. We will be back

Goats cheese, cranberry and walnut crostini for starter and pork belly, black pudding and mash for main. Absolutely gorgeous. Staff fantastic. Lovely little evening last night. Thanks to all at Almond. ��

Fantastic staff very friendly and attentive. Food was fabulous and cooked to a high standard and just the right amount. Had a lovely lamb tagine with fruity cous cous. Lamb was so soft and meltd in the mouth. Loved the chicken liver pate too and the onion chutney was to die for.

Everything was superb. We will be returning very soon. Xx

Due to a change in weather had planned a family night at the Ice Festival ... at last min changed our plans and decided on family meal but weren't sure where to go ... after a quick browse on internet came across this hidden little gem of a restaurant!! Food was amazing within a quaint cosy and friendly atmosphere! Nothing was too much trouble and as the four of us each ordered different items we were able to sample each other's meals to which no one was disappointed!! Definitely worth a visit !!

Almond is in my top five restaurant only just starting going their Wow fantastic food excellent service plus if you are having a celebration check out upstairs function room had my 65th birthday meal the staff were amazing I would give more than five stars hats off to the chef

1st time here was celebrating my husbands 60th birthday with my children and there other half's we were given a very friendly welcome, staff are very friendly and attentive and the food was delicious was a lovely night great atmosphere would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Will definitely be coming back.

02/12/16 Myself and my new Wife Mags held our wedding reception here we had 28 guests.We had exclusive use of the upstairs dining room.

We cannot fault anything.

From the moment we first met Kate and Lisa they could not do enough for us.

They even closed the main restaurant for over an hour so we could enjoy a very delicious selection of canapés and hot mulled wine on arrival.

The upstairs dining room was laid out even better than we could have imagined.

Not one of our guests could find fault with the food.

All our guests had a choice of 5 starters,5 mains and 5 desserts.Some even had variations to the agreed menu with no fuss from The Almond.

All the staff were brilliant,always there when needed but never intrusive (an art in itself).

The night was perfect.

Mags and I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at The Almonds,you made our day.

I wasn’t to impressed with the last time I ate here, we had a party of 14 the restaurant wasn’t overly busy and yet all our food was served at different times an some meals were cold! I understand it was a large table to cater for but I’d of expected to be told no if the chiefs could not of catered for that many at a time. It was a birthday party and quite disappointing
