I've helped 2 very patient customers, one with a spare remote key on a 2010 Vauxhall Astra J and another with lost keys on a 2008 Vauxhall Astra H van.

20 years ago today, my boss / friend ( Big Dave ) & I were moving a safe into a shop on Euston road in Morecambe.
Sadly that was the last job we did together as he suffered a massive heart attack and passed away.
I still miss him so very much and am eternally grateful for everything he taught me.... Also i'm grateful to Goi Ayres his wife. Over the years we have helped each other and continued to maintain a friendship.
2 years ago on Dave's 18th anniversary of his passing, Goi very kindly gave me Dave's old number plate.
This plate means the world to me , I am so proud to drive around with this on my van.

Fortunately I don't do a lot of crime related work, however most that I do is usually avoidable.
When you're in your home please lock your doors.
Yesterday I changed the locks at a customers home.... He was at home on Tuesday evening when someone entered his home, grabbed a few easy things, picked up his car keys and stole his car. It wasn't an expensive car or anything fancy, it's probably just a bit of fun, or a free ride to there next destination.
I do a few jobs like this, so please lock your doors 👍

Another cracking day and what lovely weather it has been, lets have more off that 🌞🌞.
Fortunately, I very rarely get called back to a job. Occasionally it does happen though as it did today, 1st call was a job i'd replaced the upvc mechanism on a few weeks ago in Morecambe. The customer called saying the door was difficult to close. I attended and it was a piece off plastic trim come loose causing the door to stick.... All sorted, no charge even though it was nothing lock related. It's good to keep customers happy 😊.
After that, through to Caton. This was a 2008 Ford Fiesta with keyless fob. The car was not recognising the fob, so wouldn't lock and difficult to start. No problem, 2 new keyless fobs supplied and programmed on site.
Next, a jump onto the motorway and into Galgate. To supply and program a new complete remote key for a 2012 Ford Transit van.
After this, back into Morecambe to Lancaster Honda to cut a key for a 2016 Honda VFR800. It's always good opportunity to have a look around the bikes and gear 👍😜😉.
My next job , the customer wasn't contactable so ended up with an early finish.
I'm not going to complain whilst the sun is shining 🌞🌞🌞

Another great day today 😊.
It started with a Ford Transit door lock, re built to the customers original key.
Then upto Lancaster to supply & program a complete new remote key for a 2013 Ford Transit custom.
... Staying in Lanaster I then had to open and replace a lock on a up & over garage door. The customer had, had his van stolen with the keys inside 🤦‍♂️.
Then a whizz down the Motorway to Millhead, to replace a upvc door lock and supply 3 keys.
Then back to Lancaster to open a jammed UPVC door and replace the complete mechanism.
Now it's home time 👍

Here again !!! Keys locked in a 2014 VW Golf.
I wish it would warm up a little. It's still to bloody cold to be picking locks.

Easier day today !!! A few customers changed there booking dates this morning which left me with some free time.
I've been through to Lancaster to open and replace a upvc door lock. The customer had snapped the key and got into a pickle.🤬🤬
... In Lancaster I got a call back to Morecambe to a 2012 Citroen Berlingo van. Whilst working close by the customer had thrown his keys in the rear of the van. When he closed the door, the locks locked with his keys inside. 🤦‍♂️
Next upto Heysham to a composite door. The door was brand new but nobody could find the keys 🤷‍♂️. Anyway, I opened it up and replaced the lock, they now have 3 new keys to play with 🤞.

Kendal this morning !!
2005 Honda CRV ignition barrel jammed up at Wheel Tech with no warning.
I attend the premises and within 1 hour the Honda CRV is back on the road.
