Booked taxi this morning at 7.30 to get to work tonight. Not good to let customer down who uses you everyday to get to work, just because there is a match on. How much notice do you need �

After getting lost last night trying to find the train station I stopped at a shop & got a taxi number & Alpha turned up within 10 mins, took me to the train station & made sure I went in the right place. The driver was very nice & talked the whole time there

Would be a 0 if I could my girlfriend called these to get to Kirkby station from our home address no problem but at midnight had to call me to ring her a taxi as they refused to collect her from kirkby station where earlier that very same day they dropped her off she was only coming back to our home address however they now claimed that her number was blocked well what a serious security isuue that is leaving a female stranded alone at Kirkby train station at midnight and your only answer is sorry your number is blocked, take some responsibility your supposedly a listened taxi company how can this be a responsible answer what ever happened to duty of care? Absolutely appalled! !!

We had already waited 15min to be allocated a driver, but once we were given details of the driver who was supposedly picking us up, we waited and could see on the app that he was just parked up at the docks. After 10min of seeing him not moving we rang him, spoke to him personally, told him we were just outside the gates to Baltic market on Stanhope street waiting, he told us he would be here as soon as possible. We waited another 10min until he finally came speeding up Stanhope street and drove right past us even though we were waving at him and hadn’t moved from the spot. He never slowed down or looked to see if we were there and just cancelled our trip whilst we were actually looking at waving at him. Bearing in mind we had already been waiting for half an hour at this point, we rang Alpha and politely told them what happened, they said he had marked us as a no show on his app and there was nothing they could do - this is completely unacceptable. We were regular customers, using alpha on personal and business trips, but now we have both deleted the app and will not use them again and will certainly not recommend them to anyone. Shocking attitude and customer service.

The driver did not actually know where he was going even though we gave him the address twice. At one point he pulled into a side street to google the address. We checked on our phones and gave him the postcode and we set off again. We drove around the same roads twice before we actually started heading in the right direction!

We arrived at our destination at 10.24 nearly double the time it said on our maps . The meter said £16.60 but the driver only charged £15 . We used Alpha for the return journey at 3am and it cost us £12.70.

We used Alpha 4 times over 2 days and 3 of the journeys were perfect ...... one wasn't.

Recently used this company whilst in Liverpool, they do not even warrant 1 star. Absolutely awful, lack of communication between the staff & also to the customer! Also waiting for a phone call from a ‘manager’ which I’m obviously not gonna get!

Pre-booked a taxi for this morning for a very important job interview and all was confirmed. This morning the taxi didn't show up. I phoned alpha several times to see where the taxi was. They told me they were short on cars as it was a busy period even though I had booked the taxi. They then proceeded to hang up on me.

Long story short I missed my interview all thanks to Alpha Taxis.

Okay so myself, disabled father and mother were flying from Manchester airport Thursday 22 March at 1230.

4 days before we were flying I booked a disabled hackney cab with them. No problem all done. £38. Sold.

Night before I rang to confirm. No problem.



Taxi booked for 0915.

At 0910 a lady rang told me slight delay it will be another 5 mins. Okay.

My father is in the hall, coat on ,in his wheelchair all bags ready.



0920 man phoned me ‘nobody can do the job I’ve tried everyone and done my best.’



Just pause for a second and understand how long my parents have waited for this holiday and here some idiot just rings and cancels everything with no sympathy and puts me in a panic.



I try to calmly tell him to find anyone just get them here. Told him how good this will look on Facebook.



He said he will try and then call me back.



10 mins later nothing so I quickly call Merseycabs. Help/emergency we are late to get to the airport can you send a hackney cab with ramp? Yes he’ll be there in a few minutes.



Still nothing from Alpha so I called them and asked what’s happening?

Told someone’s on the way. Seriously? And no one told me? Now I have 2 cabs maybe? Do I trust whose coming from alpha? Is there a ramp? Do I cancel Merseycabs? Is there really someone on the way from alpha?



I cancel alpha. Can’t take a chance since nobody’s updated me. Merseycabs arrive. In we go and arrive very late at the airport, last to board the plane.



For 20 minutes in Liverpool we had no flight or holiday and NO ONE cared,



Thank you Metseycabs you saved us even if it cost £60 not £38.



Never EVER EVER use alpha.

My youngest daughter finally got a taxi after Alpha cancelled the first for no reason. Driver (LEON, White Ford Focus, YR13 GRX) was bad tempered and aggressive. Claimed online payment failed despite daughter showing receipt. Demanded cash and tried to prevent her leaving the car. Do *NOT* let people travel alone with this man (personally I'd not give him business at all, he's clearly a lunatic). There's a difference between a bad day and purposefully scaring a lone young female to extort cash. You hear of horror stories about taxi drivers that start this way. If Alpha want to maintain their custom they will ensure their customers' safety by addressing this issue. As it stands, they've lost custom now this has been circulated around friends for their safety. Will be reporting to council.

Left my phone in taxi Thursday night. Phoned Friday to be told driver had it. He could return it to me for the taxi fare or I could pick it up from the Childwall office. Said I would pick it up. Called to pick it up today (Monday). Was told the driver hadn’t dropped it off. The guy I spoke to said he would chase it up and get back to me. He didn’t bother to do that. Just called again to be told driver has dropped it off in the town centre office. So after going from widnes to Childwall I now have to go from Widnes to Liverpool city centre. Useless company.

I've just had a lovely encounter with one of your drivers at hunts cross McDonald's. After I said "easy mate" as he sped through the car park at unnecessary miles per hour for a car park and narrowly missing me, he proceeds to reverse, wind his window down and hurl verbal abuse at me. What a lovely man!

I am beyond disgusted with your service!! One of your drivers attempted to charge my sister £80 from Liverpool to Maghull, which at the VERY most is £25! How have you even got these type of drivers working under your company name! Absolutely shocking! I’ve heard so many bad things about your company, this has been the last straw! I can say I will certainly NOT be using your company!

Awful service and I would never use this company again. The lack of communication with the company and drivers is dreadful. This was organised in advanced so you would of expected a smooth service. They were late by half an hour, the drivers were not made aware of the discussion of the phone call before as I was given a price and told it would not be more as I did try pre booking the mini bus to make things easier.It was confirmed with the drivers on the way and as a group of 15 we all heard this. The way back the company decided to change the plan we were blamed for 6 of us getting into a 6 seated vehicle not 4 so that would be extra. Another driver was extremely abusive towards my friends. They do not give a professional friendly service which you expect from a taxi service. You will end up in an argument as they don’t keep to what they agreed as apparently I was booked by a trainee and that is why this happened other than that they don’t take any responsibility. Disgusting doesn’t even cover it and no apology from any of them.

Awful drivers! Ordered one this morning and he stopped off somewhere else (according to the app) then when he did turn up he was on the opposite side of a busy A-road and gestured to me to cross it as he couldn't be bothered turning round. Bad attitude of driver; then drove wrong way and did a dangerous u-turn in the middle of a T junction. Where do you get these drivers??!

Anyone needing a taxi, be sure not to get in this one. It’s an Alpha reg AU67 WJL. Thinks it’s acceptable to be high as a kite, do 60 in a 30, music blasting so loud you could hear it inside the before even exiting the building. Driver wasn’t happy being told to lower the music, stop speeding and the fact he smelt of weed. Needless to say we got out of taxi. He sped away with rear driver side door still open, after I got out and took this picture. Special thanks must go to Alpha taxis who, after reporting this, explained they could not do anything till a manager was in tomorrow. Hope this idiot doesn’t kill anyone this evening.

Absolutely dreadful! Taxis pre-ordered two months ago for an agreed price, the first ones were half an hour late, on the return four taxis were sent rather than the two mini buses we went out in so they tried to charge more. Our poor bride to be has been stuck arguing with them for 15 mins. Appalling customer service and the driver was rude!
