... “Brilliant! We have just returned from a fortnight on an Andersen boat, and we have a fab, comfortable time. The welcome was lovely, then we met our home for the next 2 weeks and were introduced to the best laid out/thought through narrow boat we have ever been on. And we used to live on a narrow boat, and have hired many many times over 20+years. We were disappointed in the weeks before to discover our planned route was closed due to a breach, but we knew we would still have a great time exploring the many miles of canals available from Andersen Boats. We covered 146 miles and 150 locks, saw spring arriving, wildlife and heritage all from our warm and comfortable holiday accommodation. The raised seating area inside is brilliant for wildlife watching whilst moored up, our favourite was the half hour watching a pair of foxes in a field by the caldon canal. We visited the caldon canal, Harecastle tunnel, Cheshire locks, travelled the Trent and Merseyside canal as far as Handsacre (passing Shrugborough hall) and the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal to Autherley junction. We were two couples from Norway who had a uforglemelig trip out to Llangollen. From the outset it was very good service and the best any of us was that we could speak Norwegian with people at Andersen (forgot the name, should talk with their son about trip to Old Traford, I travel there to fight 03.14.2015)

We rented 3 boats for one week (14 persons from Horten, Norway). The boats was in perfect condition, we enjoyed a lot and had no problems. Highly recommended .



We went on the Llangollen canal but had to turn at Ellesmere, not enough time to pass the aquaduct. We "sailed" approx. 5 hours each day. I would recommend to use 10 days if you want to go all the way to Llangollen (for one week you have to go ~9 hours / day)

We have had four great holidays with Andersen Boats over the last seven years. Each time we had a different boat. All the boats have everything you need. We have been to places on the boat that you may not think of going to. It's a different sort of holiday. We will be doing it again. The staff are friendly and will help you get on your way and if you need them you can always give them a call.

We had such a fun and relaxing two week holiday on the Fjord Princess! Andersen Boats provided not only a sparkling clean, well equipped boat but great instructions on safety and operating the boat. We loved our cozy little floating home. We did a leisurely, no rush trip to Castlefields in Manchester and back. Wonderful mix of scenery and things to do.

We had a wonderful week last week on Fjord Bergen, a really lovely boat, very well equipped with everything we needed, and was exactly as described in the brochure. The family-run Andersen business delivered top quality service and support and we would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them.

This was our first experience of canal boating and the lovely folk at Andersen Boats made it a real breeze. We had a wonderful few days exploring parts of England we would never have got the chance to see otherwise.

I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the world of boating.

The boat we hired called fjord ambassador looked absolutely brand new! We couldn't have asked for a better boat and the interior was spotless. Thank you Andersen boats. �

One of the best vacations ever. We are in the process of booking again for next spring. Great trip for a couple or a family. Beautiful countryside, historic pubs and villages, outstanding photo opportunities. Nice to get away from everything and leave your electronics at home.

Just back from a sunny week on the Trent Mersey Canal with Andersen Boats. Fantastic boat, great weather and wonderful memories. We WILL be back. Gill & Phil Crone-Miles

It was our first Narrowboat experience. Andersen Boats offers good standard of "well groomed" fleet of boats. They gave us great tuition and helped us to refine our exaggerated novice's plans (thank you Dave). We chose them based on their Web site (and based on price, honestly ;) and now I can say, it has not lied.

I would certainly recommend using Andersen Boats, we found the whole team to be more than helpful and the boat Fjord Monarch was absolutely beautiful. Cruising the canals is great fun for adults and children, the kids loved the locks and tunnels and we loved the peace and quiet and relaxed evenings aboard the boat. A definite must if you have never done this type of holiday.

Had an amazing time covering the four counties. Would recommend any day and we are all up for doing it again.

We travelled up to Llangollen through beautiful countryside & had all we needed aboard the well equipped Prince, the staff of Andersen boats could not be more helpful & we look ford to our return hopefully not to far in the future ;-)
