We have a Yemen Chameleon and a Spider Morph Ball Python which were both purchased here and we love them to bits. The service and advice we have received is always second to none and we love visiting the shop, often spending a good 45 minutes looking around and chatting to the owners. They are very helpful and are always willing to help us figure out any problems they may have. Highly recommended.

We bought a baby bearded dragon with viv and the full setup from Appleton. We where treated very well when we went in and the fella we spoke to told us everything we needed to know. We only turned up at around 3 o clock on a Sunday afternoon and he set up the viv up for us within an hour and actually stayed open for us to explain to us everything we needed to know about our new beardie... Couldnt be happier with the service we received here and i just know he'd be happy to help if we came across any problems! As we looked around all the animals seemed happy with plenty of space and healthy! Highly recommended!

Thanks to Terry and Steve for looking after me while my mum went on holiday, I had a lovely big cage to stay in and lots of other birds to chat to as they were also on holiday . I would just like to say sorry to Terry for biting him but I didn't like having my nails cut and wings clipped it was my first time. but I liked my new toy that my mum bought me. Thanks to your Dad for repairing my tree as I have chewed all the bottom , so he is going to mend the bottom for me.

Rang for advice today regarding a lethargic med tortoise, they were so helpful at Appleton they asked a couple of questions and advised me to get a new UV light, this worked and the tortoise is back eating and moving about happily, thank you for your help.

Fantastic service! After weeks of searching for a parrot specialist we visited Appleton Exotics today. We've thought up until today we wanted an African Grey. After the great advice offered we realised that this wasn't the parrot that suited us and was otherwise advised. We were given great advice, aftercare and customer service. What pleased me above all is the passion and honesty, we received great information, was shown a variety of birds and was left too make a decision with no problems or rush. After going away to discuss and have dinner, we returned to the shop. We now very much look forward to choosing on saturday and then taking home our baby Yellow thighed caique! In around 10 weeks time when ready. We have been welcomed to visit our growing chick whilst being hand reared and will get pictures when asked. Highly recommend service, we're extremely happy. Lovely to see the care and passion. + 5* :)

Didn't originally get our tortoise Sherman from here - but they where more than helpful. Explained that the vivarium pets at home had sold us was wrong for him and wasn't keeping any heat in - which caused him to be unsettled, talked us through which would be better for him and they where happy enough to deliver it for us and help with anything that we had questions about, he's recently been on holiday at Appleton (he's my baby so I was a bit upset when dropping him off) they reassured me everything was fine and if he was fussy with the mixed greens they would go collect dandelions for him and make sure he was looked after, couldn't thank them enough with how well he was looked after, wouldn't take my tortoise anywhere else! �

Can't thank Terry and Steve enough for all of their help and advice when purchasing our baby African grey. Right from the start they gave honest and clear advice- they allowed me to visit my baby as much as I liked and never minded even when busy. This has made a great start for our baby bird and she's settled into our home straight away and I know I can always ask for advice and help if I need to. I will miss popping in every day. After waiting 12 weeks will finally took our baby African Grey home last week. It was great to visit every week and get to know our new baby. The service is excellent. The guys are full of knowledge and guide you the best way they know how. Would highly recommend this place.

After around 5/6 weeks we got to take our blue and gold macaw home this weekend. Ste and Terry have been brill with us. We were allowed to go into the shop whenever we pleased to get the bird used to us at weekends my daughters were virtually camped out there (sorry guys). We buy all our stuff off these guys they are truly two professionals. We highly recommend using these two for any of your pet needs they will always help if they can

My boyfriend paid £100 deposit on an African grey was due to be collected end of November. On the 22nd of October my boyfriend never came home for days to be told on the 25th October my boyfriend was found next to a motorway bridge he's now an angel. He died of hypothermia his body had been there for 3 days he died within 2 hours. We're totally devastated me and his family r shocked and gutted. I rang this shop to explain and ask for his money back as I'm not struggling to get my 2 children who are also heartbroken some Christmas presents. I was spoken to like crap and told they've already lost a lot of money cos he didn't answer his phone. Surely under the circumstances and the valid reason we should be entitled to his money back for the kids. There's no excuse to not refund his money wen there's such a reason why we couldn't go ahead an get the parrot that was getting bought in memory of my boyfriend mate who died 8 weeks before. This company has deleted all my comments to my side of the story an left people to slag of my boyfriend who is no longer here an me an his family are left to read them with no way of saying r side. No condolences or sympathy just care about money!! My boys deserve to have a Christmas after everythin instead use would rather keep my deceased boyfriends money with no care of anyone else or the valid reason why. A man has lost his life an a life is worth money than anything. Use have a cheek!!

I never leave a bad review or complain about anything really however felt the need to on this occasion. I am completely outraged by the poor service received by Appleton Exotics never again and won't be recommending I'm afraid! All for the money not the service!

Family run business? Money grabbing b@@@@@@ more like! Selling on someone's bird because nobody informed you they had passed? Because surely that's the first thing you do when your beloved one has passed, "oh I put a poxy deposit down need to inform them asap"!!! Could have shown a bit of gratitude and respect to this poor family! Least you could do is refund the deposit and give them a good will gesture! I will be staying away from your business and making sure everyone I know does too !
