Seeing as there's negatives about the pool from all sorts of people, I wanted to review what's good about this place! THE GYM!! I've been coming here 4 years straight and no issues I'm local to the gym so even better for me. The personal training is outstanding! Every week I enjoy pt with mark, although my trainer has become a friend too, work hard smile through the pain!!! it's great to talk about nutrition and see what works for you! Best part is seeing results but it takes time so be patient! The exercises are mental! But I feel great every time! I get sick from time to time as everyone else does seasonal flu etc which stops me in my path but I only get up and do it again ASAP when I'm well to do so. the classes are 5* Cheryl is great with the LBT on a Monday and total toning on a Thursday! It really makes all the difference being dedicated giving things a chance here before stressing you think someone is going to be picking up dust every second of every hour? Give these people a break! They are so hard working!! Receptionists are helpful and always polite.

All the machines are great, decent music to work out to. weights are awesome Mandy always has a smile on her face..when you come in the gym :) you feel welcome. Nothing is perfect, but give this place a chance you give up trying now then you've already lost.xx

User

Lovely leisure centre, perfect for children. I loved all the different sections and my daughter had a brilliant time!

The only negative thing I would say is about the parking. It is a bit of a pain. You put 2 hours on the car and you get 1hr and a half in the pool. Which would be fine if you wasn’t waiting 20 mins to get in. So after swimming we had to shower and get dressed.... then rush back to the car to get another ticket... then go back to the changing rooms to dry hair etc...

User

I couldnt praise this leisure facility anymore. I visited on Saturday 5th August 2017 with my parents, sister, Neice, my partner and my 4 children. I ended up having an accidient leaving me with a nasty bruised, swollen and cut foot due to an open grid at the bottom of one of the white slides. All staff members that day (around 6pm) were so quick to respond, i was helped out the pool by a life guard and sat down, was given a glass of water and medical attention quickly and with out fuss and staff flapping. That part of the pool was shut off so staff could deal with the matter. So thank you very much.

User

Yes as people say not the cleanest ive been too but i blame the customers not using the bins and some areas could to with touching up with paint but the flumes the pools were just what my 2 girls loved and the water was just lovely and warm. The lifeguards which i spoke too were very good and helpful. Yes we did have to wait about 15 minutes to get in but i think it was worth it. We will be back.

User

Went today. At first thought we would have to wait ages to get in as queue was really long but it went down very quickly and we were kept informed about how long the wait would be. Changing rooms were clean. Water was a bit colder but nothing more than most pools. The steps up to the flumes looked really grubby but rest of the pools were ok. Kids had the best time and so cheap compared to our local pool in Hemel. Will definitely be coming again.

User

We stopped visiting the pool for a while due to it always being cold and dirty. Decided to give it another go and although it wasn’t spotless (considering we were the first wrist band colour in this morning) there was a big improvement. The air temp was warm and for the first time ever the water was as warm as a bath meaning the kids could actually enjoy the full time rather than getting out after 15 mins. We hope it will remain this way from now on!!

User

Can't comment on the pool as I don't use it, but I must say I wouldn't go to any other gym. Yes, I'll agree sometimes the changing rooms could be a little cleaner, but I'll overlook that for the equipment and the staff. They are always happy, indeed eager, to answer questions and show you how to use equipment. Plus I've had personal training with Mandy which has completely changed my focus and increased my progress and commitment no end. It's a happy positive atmosphere which makes going a pleasure, even on those dark mornings when you really don't want to. I'd happily recommend it to anyone.

User

The smell of chlorine was particularly strong when we went, always seems to be something wrong with the flumes like timing lights not working and only a few of the rinse of showers work. BUT..... despite these small issues the kids love it, best pools with Rapids and slides in the area and all at 1metre depth so they are confident and can easily touch the bottom

User

Used to be a great please - clearly something has changed (management most likely) and now we wouldn’t bother as pool is cold and facilities often not working.

We used to visit regularly until we attended last year and found it to be very cold. We were warned on that occasion that there was a problem and that the water was “below usual temp” but we decided to give it a try and did find it very cold that day.

Today we decided to give it another go and received no warning at all about any issues before going in.

The ambient air temperature in the building used to be beautiful, so that parents could sit around watching their kids without freezing and the pool used to be a pleasant warm temperature.

Today the water was very cold, building air temp cooler still and to top that all off NONE of he bubble pools were working and the slides were closed for over half the time we were there.

We paid full price for a visit we would usually spend 2 hours in the pool but managed only 45 minutes before my daughter and wife were physically shivering and myself and my son were cold enough to be very happy to leave.

I complained to a 3 different members of staff including a poor young lad on reception who took the brunt of my annoyance who tells me he had asked the manager to talk to me but was simply given a message that the “pool was only 1 degree lower than normal and that the cold outside temperature was having an effect on the pool heating”. What an absolute load of rubbish that is!!

Speaking to other people and staff there the pool seems to be cold more often than not now and clearly the problem is more management issues and someone deciding to save on the bill for heating the pool correctly over having happy customers!

I really felt sorry for the poor lad on reception who probably took a lot of flack today as his cowardly manager couldn’t be bothered to come out and explain or discuss issues with the disgruntled customers himself!

Real shame it has gone from a ‘family must’ to a very disappointing trip out.

User

The changing rooms and toilets are always filthy and disgusting, we came swimming in the half term week, there were used sanitary items on the floor of the toilet, we never see anyone cleaning, and once again we have had sickness and diarrhoea after visiting the pool will be going somewhere else next time.

User

Went with my son Never again never been to

Such a Dirty place we go swimming a lot to different pools this is the worse i have ever been pool and changeing area so dirty and staff just standing talking. Waited for over an hour to get in what a wast of a day. Place needs to be closed and gaven a good CLEAN. Would be nice if Aqua Vale would answer some of the views.

User

Went there yesterday with family and was disappointed, was very busy and that was ok but the water was murky and felt unclean. The slide was only open for a short while, bubbles were scarce in the jacuzzis and other places. The whole place could do with some tlc.

User

Went swimming today with my two children and my 84 year old Nan, I was disgusted with how dirty the place was. Dirty scum marks all around the entire pool, chewing gum stuck to the tiles in the pool, rust everywhere.

The worst part was the smell of urine in the changing rooms, Someone had clearly weed all over the floor when I told staff it was mopped up with a dirty mop (no water or cleaning products) so all they did was push the urine over a large surface area

I would honestly say the cleanliness is a serious health and safety

User

Went swimming today with my 2 young children and partner. Once again the pool was too cold for them and the air temperature was cold with cold air blowing. I have been very few times when the pool and air temperature have been warm. Its a real shame they cant manage to keep the temperatures warm most of the time as the little childrens pool with the slides is lovely. I asked the staff what temperature the pool was and they didnt have a clue. If it was warm I would use it several times a week. Waste of £13 when its too cold to stay in there longer than 1/2 hour. I will not be recommending this pool to others anymore and I will be choosing a different pool to take my family to.

User

Visited some time ago and only found time to write review... Pool was yet again freezing, had to leave in couple of minutes and complained to the reception and got offered a refund!! However, why????? Sooooo many complaints about cold water, dirty changing rooms etc., yet nothing is changing, why???? Soooo much potential in this place... There was even blood on the floor, so I told the life guard and asked him to call someone to clean, no action!! Very very disappointed... And why the flumes are not on all the time? Surely this is your biggest selling point!!

User

This is a nice sized facility and has the potential to be fab. But it is currently very run down and dirty. Which is a shame it has a nice mixture of things to do but it needs a serious revamp. Broken concrete and horribly rundown and dirty. We won't go there again, I'm just hoping my toddlers don't get sick.

User

So I've seen the post that the water heat has been fixed, sorry to say the place is still a mess!! Visited yesterday on my own with my 4 year old and 10month baby, one changing room had a 'non swimming' nappy in, which clearly had been worn in water just left dumped on the ground exploded!! Another had dirty banana skin, swimsuit security stickers stuck to the walls, every one I went in had rubbish or arm band rubbish of some sort.. I know it's holidays but it needs someone cleaning it all the time!! The floor was black from dirty shoes, again u can't help but can clean regularly.. I've never seen anyone mopping or cleaning anything! I mentioned to the lifeguard nearest to pool ( I wasn't going to take my kids over to reception as they were in their swim wear and would get cold) when we returned to get dried and change .. still filthy, not sure if the nappy and banana had gone, the changing room we had still had blue shoe covers, dirty arm bands, general rubbish and the nappy bin in!! This doesn't make it easy to make it a family outing. I take both boys on my own to Buckingham.. no problem, no worry of the baby picking things of the floor, there's never any dirt!

User

Don't bother! Nothing is ever switched on! All of the features - the lazy river, jacuzzi and bubble pools and slides are only turned on sporadically so for most of the time everything is closed or off. Unfortunately the water is so cold that you just can't wait around for the fun stuff to be turned on. Don't even think about going with an under 5 - they will freeze within minutes. Shame, it used to be a great place and loads of fun. Stop penny pinching or this place will die!

The changing rooms and toilets are always filthy and disgusting, we came swimming in the half term week, there were used sanitary items on the floor of the toilet, we never see anyone cleaning, and once again we have had sickness and diarrhoea after visiting the pool will be going somewhere else next time.
