Probably the best I've had for some time.

We went tonight for tea. Travelled 6 miles there and 6 miles back home. My husband had fish, chips and peas and i had chips, peas and gravy. I can tell you it was well worth the travel. Best chippy I've tasted. Will definitely be back. FAB �

Tried for the first time tonight and was not disappointed. Probably the best English chippy in the area. I had cod, chip and peas which were lovely. The fish batter crispy as you like. The missus had rag pudding chips and gravy and she said the pudding was crammed full of meat and very tender. Would I go back? In a heartbeat. Definitely a welcome addition to the area.

My first experience of Ashton's and I'll definitely be returning. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The fish and chips were delicious and the dog sausage went down a treat with my pooch.

Love the chips always fresh not reheats also the fitters are lovley tried all of them love this chippy everything is so fresh

Just wanted to say a massive well done to Ashton chippy for an excellent service today supplying all the Office & Factory with our lunch, not only was the order correct but all supplied piping hot which is difficult when dealing with 20+ orders

Will defo be visiting again in the future

Had a feed up friday fish and chip lunch with work - pre-ordered, all was ready on time, all cooked to perfection and tasted delicious - everyone who ate it said howfresh and tasty it was. HUGE THANKYOU!!!! we will be back!!!

Great chippy my husband called in for a chip muffin an told me how good it was so we walked over the tops and stopped for dinner One of the best chippys I’ve had definitely be calling again soon.

Great chippy had cheese and onion pie with pea soup. Went to my son's for tea we all had different food from fish which was cooked fresh when you go in pie sausage curry gravy fritter and chips. Everything was good. I would highly recommend it. I will go again. I really enjoyed it so did my family.

Fish is cooked fresh, nice gravy and proper chippy chips. I live in bacup but I travel to this chippy as it’s the nicest one around. �

Anyone else sick of paying top prices for the chance you might get a decent fish and chips? So am I but Ashton’s really comes through and every time, went this morning and it was lovely, so much so we went for our tea as well and again was lovely. Thanks guys.

AMAZING food, best chippy I've ever had EVER. Rag pudding �omg. Fantastic service and lovely owners too. Great value for money, queue out the door, I'd recommend to anyone.

10/10. Tried for the first time for lunch today. Fantastic portions. Friendly service. Hubby tried the fish and chips, usually would complain about the grease or batter or size, he devoured the lot and gave it a massive thumbs up. We will definitely be back!!
