A few pics from last week's work.

Check out this wee thing! It's a singer chamois coupe, or an imp in other words. It was in for some minor paint correction to remove some scratches the owner had mistakenly put in when washing it. Fortunately the car had recently been resprayed to a good standard so there was plenty of paint to play with and a bit of polishing soon had it looking great once more. Nice to get something different from the usual to work on 😎 The owner left very happy 😊

A couple of nice ones from the last week or so, the first one is a full fat R8 v10 spider, this was in for a two stage paint correction and looked ace after it was finished. The customer is now bringing their porsche cayanne back to have that done too, and second up was a little fiat 500 abarth, imagine 180 hp in one of those! Anyway that was in for a clean up and protect detail . Mainly to get some bonded contaminants off of the paint with the aid of a good clay bar session, finished with sealant and a coat of wax and now gleaming.

Nice porsche cayennes been in the past couple of days for a proper valet, claybar and winter protection, will be back in spring for full paint correction. It's alright this job sometimes 👍

Was your car in the floods?
A quick wet vac alone will not get rid of the water, underneath car carpets there's a lot of insulation and sound deadening where water is absorbed and the only way to remove it is to take the seats and carpets out . Not only is this going to cause corrosion if not removed but more importantly it'll cause electrical faults and is actually a fire risk. Water and electricity do not mix well!
... This Audi tt is currently getting the interior removed to extract all water to prevent any further issues .

Has your car been in the floods? Check this video out of one we are working on today, a simple wet vac won't do. This is why you need to remove all seats and carpet to get a car properly dry and save your car from costly repairs in future and also eliminate the fire risk that is mixing water and electricity. We are currently stripping the interior of this Audi tt to dry it out properly.

Luckily it was emulsion rather than gloss and was still wet so got it all out . Always make sure any paint is securely positioned in a car people. 😎
