We've made it into this years edition of the Good Beer Guide for the 3rd Year running!! To celebrate we've added a real ale to our happy hour! Monday-Thursday 3-6pm and Friday 3-9pm!!

Its nearly that time again for our annual fireworks display this year we have our bbq, candy floss and the heath band will be playing. and of course our fireworks! As usual please try and walk to this event if you live close to us. All drivers be aware our carpark will be closed off please try not to block the roads, paths or peoples drives. we hope to see you there!

Wonderful community pub. Great food and always thinking of something new to get us together.

We had a great time at Jenny and my combined birthday and engagement lunch...thanks to Ryan and the team for looking after us...fabulous. .xx

Very accommodating. Three of us stopped over for one night on our charity cycle from Leicester to London along the tow path. They were kind enough to give us a discount as we were doing it for charity. Rooms were great, with good bathrooms and continental breakfast in the room so we could eat before setting off really early the next morning. We were even able to store our bikes in one of the bigger rooms. Thank you very much.

This public house sponsored our outreach Winter Lunch at St Leonard's Church through the community ale project. We have organised three such lunches so far, all sponsored by the Axe. Today, more than 30 people who live alone, some recently bereaved came together to enjoy the company of others along with some very good food and entertainment. Thank you so very much Axe and Compass for enabling us to do this for local people in need.

The food is great - never been disappointed over many years of coming. From fish & chips, lamb steak to the cottage pie i had last time. Just hope u have the ginger sponge next time we come oh boy that was so good.

Lovely clean room and comfy bed quiet location will definitely stay again

I had my 50th birthday party at the Axe and Compass on Saturday night, and I can't praise Jake, Ryan and their staff enough for looking after me and my guests. The food was amazing and the dj just knew what to play in order to get people up and dancing! Thank you!

Have eaten at Axe and Compass many times now and have loved their food, their prices and their friendly welcome whether they busy or not!

Booked overnight accommodation here which was clean & adequate.

Followed by a lovely Full English breakfast the next morning.

I would certainly be happy to visit this pub again.
