One Man, Two Guvnors by Richard Bean, based on The Servant of Two Masters by Carlo Goldoni, with songs by Grant Olding.
Featuring a Tony Award-winning performance from host of the The Late Late Show, James Corden, the hilarious West End and Broadway hit One Man, Two Guvnors returns to Aylesbury as an encore screening to mark National Theatre Live’s 10th birthday.
Fired from his skiffle band, Francis Henshall becomes minder to Roscoe Crabbe, a small time East End hood, now in ...Brighton to collect £6,000 from his fiancée’s dad. But Roscoe is really his sister Rachel posing as her own dead brother, who’s been killed by her boyfriend Stanley Stubbers.
Holed up at The Cricketers’ Arms, the permanently ravenous Francis spots the chance of an extra meal ticket and takes a second job with one Stanley Stubbers, who is hiding from the police and waiting to be re-united with Rachel. To prevent discovery, Francis must keep his two guvnors apart. Simple.

had a great night out watching lets twist again, good singers, many different songs sang could not sing them all of course because there are so many from that era i loved them all always brings back such lovely memories i think my favourite bit was the Beatles at the end,i was still singing the next morning.

User

Went to the children's ballet show on Sunday afternoon 16/7/17 and the performance and performers were superb. The children looked fantastic and were a pleasure to watch.

Well done to the organisers, helpers and those who deal with the scenery changes it all went very smoothly and was a very pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

We went to see Oliver at the gorgeous waterside theatre in Aylesbury

This well known and popular musical is presented as a amateur production however the standard was equal to a west end presentation

From the outset when Oliver played by theo collis stole our hearts

The high standard and commitment of everyone involved was evident

In only 7 days of intense rehearsal this huge cast of 123 young people aged from only 7 to 23 brought passion and life to a truly privileged audience

Everything including the clever sets lights costumes and music compounded the amazing talent we enjoyed

To mention just a few cast members

Connor dyer made a very real fagin acting and singing so well had us all tapping and singing along to songs such as got to pick a pocket and reviewing the situation he truly gave some experienced stars some competition

Nancy played by Casey bird was as robust and vulnerable as demanded and she held the stage totally as she sang as long as he needs me beautifully

The ensemble of street criers Racheal Thomas Marie Evans and Alona Walsh and kristian nobbs gave a memorable performance as individuals and as the group

James Pennington as bill Sykes was a truly bad egg as expected and Riley Bettie as the artful dodger and George Watkins as mr bumble all gave outstanding performances

In essence this production has everything and was of such a high standard especially as the cast was all so young

Trying to review this show can not do it justice only experiencing it will do

Lionel barts musical is definitely a long living musical that will continue to delight audiences for many years to come and the vivo darte group did him proud

This family show couldn't have got any better so a full 5 stars from us

User

The Jersey Boys were wonderful, we really enjoyed the show and met Michael Watson,(Frankie Valli) at the stage door and had a chat. The theatre is the best one we have been to, it is so beautiful. We will be back again in Oct to see Cliff in the live screening of his concert.

User

Just back from seeing Hairspray. Absolutely fantastic evening. The theatre is beautiful. Lots of leg room. Great seats (in row H) can't wait to come back again.

User

It's an excellent well designed theatre.. went to see the Panto that opened it with Cilla.. it's got good parking and is easy to get too

User

User

Great theatre 🎭 my little girls show last night was amazing, it's a lovely clean theatre decent loos also 🚽Nice staff , good seating etc etc etc , one bad thing though £3 for a bag of chocolate 🍫 😩😲😫😂☹️

User

Excellent Afternoon yesterday seeing Flavia & Vincent in Tango Moderno, brilliant show, Flavia & Vincent are fantastic dancers. xx

My sister and I really do like the Waterside Theatre and have been many times, it's so nice to have plenty of legroom something I struggle with in most theatres plus easy parking as well, what more can you ask for. I'm sure we'll be back there very soon for another show. xx

User

Clean, comfortable, friendly, warm, ace cafe, affordable and stonkingly good shows to match. And a Ronnie Barker statue outside to run through the Four Candles sketch with. Who could ask for anything more??

User

Came to the comic con saturday with my partner and my children .. Never been to one had a lovely time ... plus loads off space to move around the stalls ... very friendy and helpfull the people .. Would go agein if they have another one ... please do as i think it would be good to keep these comic coms up for Aylesbury.

User

So lucky to have this lovely theatre nearby. Saw That'll Be the Day on Saturday which was amazing and Let's Twist Again a little while ago which was also excellent. Love the stalls as my eyesight isn't great and I like to be fairly near the stage. The seats are lovely and comfortable. Ice cream is extortion so don't buy it £4 is a take on for a tint tub. I think they could improve the foyer / bar area as it is so crowded. Maybe have another bar upstairs. Loos aren't very nice and could do with more/ cleaner/ better. Always a huge queue in the interval. Apart from that the shows are good and varied and I love going there for a fab night out.

User

Saw Russell brand last night had a good night but the queues at the bar are a let down, luckily we pre ordered interval drinks but you have to get there early if you want a drink before hand and order them

User

Theatre is a lovely space and acoustics for the Alexander O'Neal concert were great. Service at the bar spoiled it for me. Way too few bar staff who took far too long to serve people. No contactless which also delays things. Also people asking for coffee which, IMHO, should be forbidden after 6.30 as it takes way too much time.

User

I went to see the Northern Lights Ballet - The Boy in Striped Pyjamas - last night and it was an absolutely superb performance. However, I wasn't very happy when I went to the ladies room to find there was no toilet paper, paper towels or even a hand drier; There really is no excuse for that when you are dealing with so many people. I also think £4 for small tub of ice cream is a bit dear. To end on a good note though, Waterside Theatre is a lovely theatre; I actually went on my own for the first time and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all; I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

User

I visit this theatre quite often to see a variety of productions and concerts. I don't find the foyer/bar particularly comfortable or welcoming - it's grey, chilly and draughty, feels a bit like a railway station concourse - and there's often a long queue for the bar.

Parking can be a problem. You have to arrive early to get a space in the nearby open air one, and when I tried the top floor of the multi storey car park which was designated for theatre goers there was confusion about the car park closing before the show ended.

However, the seats in the theatre are comfortable with good legroom and the acoustics are good.

Shows I have seen have all been of a good standard.

User

Had fabulous night at Alexander O'Neal. Fabulous atmosphere. Big let down was the bar. I was driving so on cola, but got to 8pm & every member of bar staff ignored the huge queue as they were doing the interval drinks. 1 member of staff serving & 5 with their backs to customers. Not good. More staff needed clearly !

User

Walked out end of first interval Seriously Dead awful tonight 20th October.
