We survived an absolutely massive Foodie Friday and are still here serving you up a grand selection of real ale (featuring a tasty selection of Titanic this week), outstanding gin (nothing better than a MCR Raspberry G&T in this glorious sunshine), tasty, tasty food (not even the roasting heat is putting people off our special black bean chilli) and live music from 3pm (and it’s a new one for you!).

Good afternoon Stockport. The sun is shining, our beer garden is out and we’ve drinks and food aplenty. If football ain’t your thing then join us this weekend for plenty of sport free fun!
We’re serving food until 3:30pm and then again from 5-8:30 and the drinks will be flowing until 1am, so come and join us for a Saturday done properly.

TOMORROW: We have the super talented Mia Moon playing with the super talented Raffi (now of Fuzzy Sun). Her singing is far superior to her pint pouring, and let’s be honest that’s pretty good.
WE ARE FULLY BOOKED but have plenty of tables left for walk ins so make sure you get yourselves down early!

This Sunday we welcome back the extraordinary Miss Mia Moon. Much more suited to the Baker’s stage than behind its bar, join us for an afternoon of super sweet singing and enviable guitar playing.

Afternoon Stockport.
A quick heads up that our kitchen will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday 13th June, which makes us sad. We’re having building work done so we can continue bringing you fantastic food for evermore.
So instead come and join us tomorrow for liquid lunch, afternoon snack, dinner and supper. There’s a seat with your name on it and a jukebox racked with excellent tunage along with all the beverages you could ever need.

Visit Stockport today ladies & gents for the vintage village. Have a wander around the stalls, make a few purrr chases, check out the classic cars and finish up with a g&t, real ale or a nice glass of wine with us here at the bakers.

Your jukebox just gave me 14 songs by accident off a pound, amazing!

Also love what this pub once was but also what it has become. There's friendly bar staff and great alcohol. What's not to love!?

Wanted somewhere local and family friendly to celebrate my son's 21st birthday...The staff....the food (especially the burgers and the massive onion rings �)..the atmosphere..the service.....all brilliant and great value for money...We will definitely be back..Thankyou!

This is a pub to adore, the decor is tasteful and respects the architectural splendour of the unique building, a beautiful trapezoid(ish), full of natural light in the day, and bathed in warm edison filament light in the evening. Add to that a friendly team behind the bar, in the kitchen or behind the scenes, the place just shimmers with honest charm. A great range of beers, ales, spirits and you can grab a hot drink too. The menu is an excellent proposition, not over reaching, but every morsel I've had has been superb. Now sprinkle in some excellent live music twice a week, do pubs get any better than this?

There is a juke box and a piano, and absolutely nobody wearing a football shirt shouting at a fruit machine.

This place has soul, and my utmost respect.

Staff really friendly hot choclate to die for food is really good. Luke is helpin us fund raise for cancer research in his pub once a month so can't thank him enough was in at wk end raised £81 n luke matched it you don't get many landlords doing that so if ur in Stockport call in and show ur support to him as he's showing his to us. Xx

Spent New Year's Eve in here and had a fab time,the atmosphere was buzzing, the bar staff were great and did a splendid job in making sure you didn't wait long to get served, good blend in music to suit all taste and age, we've been in a few times and have never been disappointed and look forward too many more visits, well done to the manager and staff xxx

Really good pub. Good selection of beers with excellent customer service! I dropped my half eaten burger on the floor by accident and they replaced it without me asking. Definitely go again.

If you are hungry for a burger then the baker burger is amazingly good! Excellent taste and quality, staff were incredible and surroundings friendly and inviting.......will be back very soon!

Great pub, great atmosphere, friendly helpful staff! Garlic & herb fries to die for, cracking real ale! The Robisons Unicorn was crystal clear & served with a decent sized creamy head! Yummy!!!!

Great pint staff are very good they were ace lovely atmosphere . Also could sit outside and enjoy your drink and watch the world go by, also keep a.eye on the near by market for a bargain. When you were ready for the same again you were not left hanging about we were looked after straight away by nice mannered bar staff.

Great lively atmotsphere, large variety of drinks, great music and friendly staff. I even met The blossoms and had my photo took with Tom Ogden. Even the famous go back to their local pub. That tells you something ������

Called in on Friday night after coming across the Friday Food Festival in the Market Square. Even though the place was heaving bar staff were still helpful and fairly cheerful under thecircumstances .

As I was staying in town over weekend decided to give it another go on Saturday night . Three pints of Trooper and a bit of banter later left merrily in search of food.

Tonight as finished work earlier made it in time to try one of your excellent chilli burgers ( and 3 more pints of Trooper 😆) as well as catching final set of your afternoon jazz group.

Think I may be becoming addicted.

Wish I had discovered you earlier in my seven week stint working this side of the Pennines.

Hopefully be returning soon.

Probably not much of a title but its definitely the nicest pub in Stockport. Had a 'Northern Quarter' feel to it. Will be returning to try the food. Shame there isn't a few more boozers like it 🖒

Nice place, great amstel, have a good time with friends in here , very well run by polite staff , no chavs or anything either . Thumbs up .
