we went for lunch and were the only people in there. The food off the lunch menu was lovely we had the chicken soup which was clear and packed full of chicken and served with bread and a sour cream sauce. We really both enjoyed our main courses too. It was really pretty surroundings and the staff were attentive and efficient. The meals arrived promptly and were good value for money, highly recommended

User

Went for a meal with my girlfriend and the staff couldnt have been nicer to us. The food was amazing couldnt fault it what so ever. The service was very good and our meals came within 15-20 minutes. Considering the place was almost packed full it was shockingly impressive service. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends and will definitely be coming back when im next in the area.

User

We went yesterday, it was great. I had Chicken sashlick, my other half had wild boar sashlick, both excellent, my chicken was so tasty and succulent, I had spicy rice, if you order it beware it is very spicy, the service was great, very polite and attentive. The fried ice cream was to die for. Will definitely be back.

User

We booked for my brother’s 40th birthday on a Tuesday night. We really enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere was great. The staff were very helpful. They even brought out a cake free of charge with a candle for my brother! This is a welcome addition to Bolton’s restaurant scene. The food was excellent. The manager kindly advised us about all the different foods because we didn’t know a lot about East European food. However, I’m very glad that we tried it because we really enjoyed it. My advice would be to have a chat with the staff and to ask for recommendations. They can tell you what to try. They even have vodka in different flavours and caviar! Go for it! You only live once! It is wonderful to find diversity here in Bolton! Thank you for being here. Dziękuję (thank you)

User

User

I’ve done extensive travelling across Eastern Europe so I’d like to think I’m pretty well placed to pass judgement on the kinds of food served up in that particular region.

Baltic Cellar does a great job of producing authentic traditional dishes. The staff were efficient and friendly too.

It’s my new favourite place and can’t wait to go back and try more of the lengthy menu

User

It was gorgeous. I loved the simplicity of the menu. The choice was big but not so vast that it left your brain spinning and your stomach shouting.

Even though I didn't opt for vegetarian, I was impressed that they have a vegetarian menu. Many places in Bolton and Bury do not properly cater for vegetarians*.

Both our meals were delicious, very generous; and we both felt at home. The vodka choice was epic and I don't use that word lightly! The beers reminded me of being abroad, and were very tasty.

•I would recommend this place to people who love to travel Eastern Europe and want to enjoy their favourite travel dishes at home.

•If you're bored with the 'same old' eating experience, and are not put off by trying something different.

•If you want a place to bring the family and eat comfort home cooking in a place that makes you forget that you're in Bolton.

We can't wait to visit again and try something different off the menu!

*I did not see a vegan menu and I didn't ask for one. Please contact restaurant for details.

User

I went there with my sister as it was my birthday. We were looking for something different and as we come from eastern Europe it was fantastic to see some familiar and tasty dishes on the menu as well as the rich variety of drinks. Definitely recommend and will be back soon :)

User

I little surprise that I didn't even know existed until yesterday.

User

Had lunch there today! I highly recommend it. Food excellent and staff really nice.

User

Had lunch here today. We had the goulash and the sea bass. Food was lovely, service was great and very reasonable prices! Will definitely be back!

User

Went here last night and was given a glass with a crack down the side and didn't realise till I caught my finger on it... other than that the food was good. Service was ok...

User

So, popped in here today for a late lunch with my wife to be, thought I'd impress her with one of my hometowns fine dinning experiences as we usually provide some great food, literally have no idea what I'd eaten, apart from our starter which was a sharing platter of various cured meats and cheeses. Anyway, all going well, apart from the service. I'll tell you what, I'll start at the beginning. Walks in, hello, hello, table for 2 please, certainly. Menus brought out to us almost immediately. Paula says, oh, let's have a cocktail, ok I say. After careful consideration we decide what we want. Waitress comes over about 15 minutes after we were seated. Would you like to order some drinks ? Yes please! Paula being on the ball as per, states that we are ready to order our food. About 15 minutes later, my cocktail arrived. No sign of Paula's! After about another 10 minutes, waitress arrives to inform us they haven't got the ingredients for Paula's cocktail. Oh, ok, chooses a different one. Another 10 minutes went by, starter arrives, still no drink! Starter demolished as we're ravenous. Drink turns up, along with the main. This is were things start to look bleak for me. Paula has a lovely salad. I liked the sound of Lithuanian dumplings, who doesn't like dumplings right? Oh my fucking God! I didn't order jacket potatoes? They're dumplings! They're not what I expected at all. In fact, they wouldn't have looked out of place at a science fiction convention as they were pretty darn good replicas of the eggs from Alien. Anyway, I'd ordered them, only fair to give them a whirl. According to the description on the menu they had meat in them, so they might be ok. Sweet baby Jesus! Trust me when I say, they are not dumplings! The outer is some form of exoskeleton, jellyfish like in texture and appearance! Basically they housed a very tiny meatball in the middle. Anyhow, 45 quid lighter in the pocket! Never again! Bloody knew we should have gone to Prezzo! Or Nandos! And needless to say, I'll be avoiding Lithuanian cuisine for the rest of my life!

User

Came here today for late lunch. Place wasn't busy so we thought it would be good, service in honesty was terrible, ordered drinks took ages for them to arrive only for 1 to arrive and not the other, waited even longer and then to be told couldnt do the ingredients so chose another drink and waited again for the starter to arrive but still no drink, drink finally arrived with the main course. I had a salad which was pleasant enough but my partner had dumplings which quite frankly looked like something out of the alien movie, we wont be back mainly due to the dreadful service.

User

Came here at the beginning of the year absolutely loved it would’ve highly recommend to others too . Yesterday was a completely different experience although the staff were the lovely we waited 30 mins for the starter considering there was only 2 other tables occupied then we had the wait another 40 mins for the main as you can imagine dining with a 3 year old is difficult enough without having to wait this length of time . Mains came I don’t know if they have changed their chef but the food was tasteless poorly presented Nd missing sauce that I ordered and paid for . I totally understand wIting times if the restaurant was busy but it wasn’t . Felt we had wasted £60 we won’t be going back in afraid or recommending
