It’s been a busy old show. I’ve met lots of new customers - and a few ‘old’ ones. I’ve still got tomorrow and the mad scramble to pack up, ship out and go home and then I’m picking up two PR6 series embroidery machines, for service, on my way home.

Took delivery of a Brother PR655 this week and I cannot praise the service provided by Bamber Brothers enough!

From the first call with Steve to enquire, to the actual delivery fromAlan, they were faultless in all the help and advice they offered. We spent a few hours at the shop for a demonstration, what Jane doesn't know about these machines isn't worth knowing, she was fantastic, and answered all our questions, and showed us exactly what these machine could do.

Set up in our premises with Alan was both informative and amusing, but again all our questions were answered and great advice was given, and Alan stayed with us until we were happy and confident with the machine.

It doesn't end there either, as any question or query we have is answered immediately by any of the team if you get into trouble or if you are in doubt about anything whatsoever, also anything you need, needles,threads, stabiliser etc is sent out next day delivery.

It's also refreshing that there is never at any point the "hard sell" they will actually advise against buying unnecessary items etc rather than pushing you into it.

All in all it has been a great experience and I'd recommend Bamber brothers to anyone thinking about getting any sort of sewing or embroidery machine.

Excellent customer service, fantastic range of machines (of every description) extensive product knowledge.(I bought a Innov-is F440 embroidery machine and love it) Wonderful workshops ( I did a quilting one with Cath and have never looked back)

Then to top it off an amazing haberdashery and fabric store. (Where I can often be found buying yet more fabric) from the fabulously friendly and ever patient ladies who are always so helpful.

Made a telephone enquiry about Janoame accessories yesterday, very helpful and knowledgeable lady answered my query. I popped in today to make the purchase and also look at a new sewiing machine, the first question I was asked was why I wanted to change my machine, after explaining the lovely lady said your machine can actually do all you want it too you don't really need a different one! I will definately be going back when I do want to change my machine.

I've now had three machines serviced by the Bamber Team (a computerised janome mc3500, the janome embroidery mc300e and a six-needle brother PR655e). Each is working fabulously and have clearly been properly looked at and had their issues sorted - and very reasonable prices too. Getting a full report on the machines clearly shows the work both standard and any extra bits needed.Also my thanks to the team for soothing my worries - I was very concerned as the mc3500 had to be posted to me and my machines are precious to me �. Needless to say I shouldn't have been concerned - Bambers know what they're doing - indeed I could hardly get it out of the box as it was so well packed �. Would highly recommend them - you know you can trust their word and their work.

I've never been entirely convinced about the need for regular servicing of sewing machines, and I don't ever remember my mum ever having her old machine serviced.

However after some problems with my overlocker, I ventured forth and got my machine back today. Turns out that I'd broken something inside and now following the repair and the service, my machine is like new. Tried it on a variety of fabrics and no need (yet) for fiddling with tension etc. and sews like a dream.

Needless to say, lesson learnt.

I cannot believe how brilliant these people are. They had my precious bernina machine 5 weeks ago and said they could fix it but were very busy. We left it knowing it in good hands, they told us it would be ready Friday, went to collect Saturday (today) and an expensive job wasn't ready till this afternoon, went back and they would not charge us. It's unbelievable. Highly recommend these lovely honest people. A huge thank you. Xx

We popped over to Bambers at the weekend with my poorly PR650e which wasn't embroidering correctly. Not only did we receive a lovely cuppa on arrival after our long drive, but my machine was fixed quickly by Shedders. The guys certainly know their business.

Called in several months ago just to see what machine would suit me. I made it very clear I had no intention to buy but I was given a full demonstration and helpful tips at the same time. Circumstances changed and I was able to buy my new machine just before Christmas and I spent another couple of hours in the shop. Customer service is as good now as it has been over many years.

Staff in haby department not very helpful or knowledgable with Bernina feet. I needed an old style buttonhole foot with slider, was told they've not been invented, and what's a slider ? Tried to use a 10% lifetime discount card given to me following purchases of 3 different machines over the years for another bernina foot I wanted to buy to be told it can no longer be used. I've always been impressed by the knowledgable staff at Bambers but not this time. Perhaps I should have spoke to Steve or Alan. I'm off browsing eBay now for my bernina buttonhole foot but would much rather have spent my money with a local knowledgable company.
