We have been members since June 2012 after many years' unsatisfactory membership at another local health club, and we immediately wondered why it had taken us so long to move! We especially love the pool, steam room, jacuzzi and sauna area but the facilities throughout the club are by far the best we've experienced! Staff are very friendly and welcoming, cleaning standards are excellent, and other members generally are very supportive too. The best move we ever made.

Visited this gym whilst on a trip up north and found it extremely tidy and clean , especially the downstairs pool area. Fantastic gym gear upstairs too! Impressive all round! ��

Its a fantastic gym with a great atmosphere. The classes and staff are great. As a large unfit person to go to the majority of gyms would feel intimidating but not here as it has such a friendly atmosphere.

It's a great place swimming facilities top notch staff are friendly well worth the monthly fee. Immaculate conditions inside and the food is great as well

I've been a member since the first year, not a founder member but a long standing one. The centre is a brilliant place to go for social as well as excercise. Couldn't do without it.

I joined this gym in 2014 and have all way's been made to feel welcome by each member of staff , when you have issue's relating to your personal wellbeing or fitness level's there is all way's someone to advise you on how to achieve your goal's safely by setting up programme's that would best be suited for you. I couldn't wish for a better place.

I joined Bannatyne's on the recommendation of my friend who did regular spin classes. My first spin class was a little intimidating, having never done it before. I was worried people might laugh, that the instructor might think I was useless & that I would embarrass myself. I was totally wrong about all of that!! The instructor helped me set up the bike, explained everything before we started and didn't bat an eyelid when I had to sit half the class out because I was too unfit.



3 months later and i'm top of the club leaderboard for Spin. I can't believe it! From zero exercise in the past 10 years to #1 on the leaderboard!! I never thought it possible in a million years. I weighed 21st 1lb in April, lost 20lbs and then stalled. I joined the gym hoping to lose some more weight and have since dropped another 10lbs.



The staff are friendly and always up for a chat, the food is good in the cafe and the classes are superb!



I really recommend anyone that wants to get fit, lose weight, tone up in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere to get signed up.



This place is quickly becoming a second home!



DEFINITELY pay the extra for the myzone belt! It's so addictive and will keep you coming back to smash your previous scores! Well worth the extra investment!!

I have been a member now for around a year and half , I can't fault the gym ,and the staff are all great and friendly.

I absolutely love it here, great atmosphere, friendly instructors and excellent facilities. The place is always spotless and the staff can't do enough for you, lots of encouragement and a great diversity of classes you can book onto.

Very clean, cleanest gym I've been in. Limited space so lacks a bit of equipment but does well with what it's got.

I've been a member of the gym on/off for years and rejoined in July 2016 after a decent refurbishment... Although lacking in resistance equipment and still over supplying cardio machines, I couldnt really argue for pay 39.99 p/m since then, members are now being forced to pay an extra 3% on top of the already risen membership fee. I'm now forced to look elsewhere because I honestly care that Banatyne wants its members to pay for banatyne TV... That's the company's decision, not the members? If anything banatyne should be looking to expand their resistance area rather than providing a TV station. Some members are unfortunately not able to travel and fortunately for this gym the opening hours are really good and convenient but that's the only thing going for it. This is not a reflection of the staff though as they are great and friendly.

Great training facilities, but it’s turned it money money money. £45 membership, and now £20 to use the “inbody” scales/scanner. Wish I knew the plans to charge for this before I signed up for the year!!! Broken shower in the swimming area, poor quality showers.
