Hi all fellow villagers, hope you are all having a great Christmas and looking forward to the New Year. Our goal this year is to increase our reach to over 1000 followers on the Barbon Village page. So we need your help, can we ask everyone who is a member to just share the group page with just one friend in the village. This way when we launch our own Social site in the new year, we are up and running. Thanks, Editor. :) ;)
In Cumbria we are so lucky to have these wonderful people in our community üôÇ

Barbon, the Cumbrian secret!
Merlin Hibbs and Jim Huddleston helped us with our Barbon B4RN duct installation (boundary to house wall) today - thank you gentlemen!
Residents of Middleton + Barbon are being encouraged to plan ahead and get their own B4RN Gigabit fibre optic community broadband connection done over the Winter.
B4RN technicians are working to do final fibre blowing/fusing/router installs in batches (c8-10 properties at a time) through Spring and Summer 2017.
... We want to maintain the progress of our Barbon + Middleton project through 2017, so new volunteers (including full time workers / those with younger families) are needed for different parts of Barbon, Middleton and Beckfoot. We now do Saturday morning volunteer sessions (as well as weekdays), so if you can spare just 2 hours on a Saturday morning, do let us know...
You will benefit yourself (learning how our fibre optic system works), as well as your community (bringing the B4RN Gigabit service) to all properties in your village area.

Or locally, contact William Dehany (Middleton) or Merlin Hibbs (Barbon) direct...

Picture Question: One of our followers took a picture (see below) and asked if anyone knew what it was built for. My answer was to protect the sheep from the wind, but what do I know?? lol
