Sad Note
Sylvia, who recently had a serious fall at home sadly passed away on Monday 1/04/19.
Sylvia was a big supporter of Royden Park and the Barking Mad Café, she walked her dogs in the park for many years and was a friend to all visitors and regulars alike..
... She will be sadly missed.
When walking her dogs she always fed the birds with crumbs, seed and fruit, she also kept an eye on the new born ducks in the pond checking that all were safe. I am sure so many of you will have your own tales to tell of Sylvia.
Details and information will be posted as we receive it.

Best dog friendly place ever. Staff hardworking volunteers working so hard whilst giving practical experience to people with learning difficulties. Food great cheap and cheerful.lots for doggies and the setting is just lovely.

Barking Mad is rather special, especially if you are a dog walker. Dogs are welcome with free carrots and toast to chew on. Their humans are well catered for with freshly prepared food and the hot chocolate is to die for. OK the food is basic being of the bacon butty type (plus soup) but the prices are incredibly low and the food is freshly prepared. The cafe is staffed by volunteers and they do a marvelous job. My friends and I love coming here after a long dog walk.

User

A lovely little cafe with very friendly staff.

Extremely dog friendly! Free carrots/toast/dog biscuits went down well with our hound, the kids loved their bacon and sausage sandwiches, Luna loved her ‘dog sausage’ and staff were very amenable re vegan choices and offered soya milk- low cost too!

A new favourite:)
