Spent a night here last week & absolutely loved it. If the views from our room weren't enough, the spa & the gin menu were amazing. We fully intend to return & would thoroughly recommend a stay here to anyone.

One of the best if not the best hotel experience I have ever had. The setting is stunning so peaceful and scenic, the room was out of this world and the staff couldn’t do enough for you and were all lovely and friendly. We are in the restaurant and the food was gorgeous, the spa facilities were brilliant and I had a treatment too which was lovely. Couldn’t recommend highly enough thank you for an unforgettable stay and a brilliant birthday experience for my fiancé

Me and my husband stayed at the Beech Hill Spa Hotel Windermere for two nights over the Easter weekend. We booked on a bed and breakfast basis and added on a 3 course evening meal in the restaurant for the first night.

As soon as you walk through the hotel door you are greated by the Lake and the snow covered hills/mountains in the distance. The whole of the reception area, bar lounge and restaurant all overlook the Lake and the views are spectacular.

We requested a lake view room and that’s exactly what we got. We had an incredible 10ft window in our room. we didn’t expect that. It was beautiful waking up to stunning scenery watching the boats go by with a cup of tea in hand. Total bliss.

Our evening meal in the hotels Burlington’s restaurant was absolutely fantastic. The staff are very welcoming and professional. We enjoyed our meal and experience so much that we booked again to have a meal in the restaurant on our second night.

We booked our stay because we wanted to Relax and unwind and we certainly did. The hotel spa has a generous sized swimming pool a steam room and sauna but the best bit is the large outdoor hot tub that overlooks the Lake. It was a great experience - being able to sit in the cold crisp fresh air but be lovely and toasty warm all at the same time, taking in those views = Perfection.

The breakfast was buffet style and had plenty of choice - cereals, toast, pastries, cheese, meats, fruit juices and hot items for a full English. Also you could pay extra and order something a little different if you wish.

The hotel gardens are very well kept and lead you down by steps to a jetty. There are plenty of seating areas too so you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity.

We had a wonderful few days and would have loved to have stayed longer. Thank you to all the staff at The Beech Hill Hotel for your hospitality.

Just spent a girlie weekend at this hotel and had a great time. The hotel, food and staff are all wonderful. Johnny and his team in the restaurant made us very welcome at every visit, we had breakfast lunch and dinner and the food on each occasion was-reasonably prices and delicious. The room was very clean, warm and comfortable. The spa was small but welcoming especially the outside jacuzzi. We will be back- thank you to the team at the hotel for making our stay a memorable one.

I am here at the moment on a festive break, I'm impressed with everything about the hotel. My Sister & I have been made very welcome nothing is too much trouble. The spa is amazing clean, hot great facilities...we have been in the jacuzzi outside on two occasions, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day! Food is fresh and lots of it, well presented & variety. Enjoyed joining in with the festive activities. Lovely room 91 with a great views. Thank you all the staff for all your hard work making it a very special Christmas.

Have just had the most wonderfully relaxing break. All staff are polite friendly and attentive. The view from the terrace and in fact our room is outstanding. Photos don't do the breath taking views justice. The food is also supberb along with amazing service. Also chartered a boat from wake nation at the hotels jetty. That too was brilliant. Shaun and I look forward to coming again as you helped make our anniversary extra special. Thank you all.

Best hotel experience in recent memory. Stunning location with rooms and spa (inc outside hot tub) overlooking the lake. From arrival to departure, the service was exceptional. Every member of staff we came into contact with went out of their way to welcome and engage with us in a very warm, natural and authentic manner. The dining experience was nothing short of sensational (love the pre-dinner canapes and the souffle is a must for desert) After being blown away by the menu on the first night, my mother and I couldn't wait for dinner on our second night. Highly recommend sampling something from the extensive gin menu; fruity and light and so refreshing after a day of walking. I will be returning again. P.s. a special shout out to Waldi - keep doing what you're doing!

User

Beautiful location spectacular views over the lake and beyond. Hotel stylish clean everywhere. Powerful shower lots of hot water and fluffy towels.

Terrace relaxing to have a glass of wine. Lots of choice for breakfast. Spa area superb with the outdoor hot tub overlooking the lake. All staff helpful and friendly. One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Hope to return highly recommend.

We stayed here for 2 nights DB&B booked through Superbreak. The receptionist was very helpful & offered us a ground floor room as my husband walks with a stick & our allocated room was down 4 flights of stairs. The view from the room was spectacular & we were lucky to have beautiful weather if a little cold! The spa facilities are fantastic, we even ventured into the hot tub. We ate in the restaurant both nights, the food & service were excellent. All in all a lovely hotel, the only downside was £1.20 for a bag of crisps!

User

We stayed at this hotel last night and thought it was lovely and great value for the money we paid. Our room was small however had recently been refurbished to a good standard and was very clean. We had a lake view but the fog this morning meant we couldn't see the lake! The food both last night and breakfast this morning was delicious absolutely no complaints at all. The bar area is comfortable and relaxing and we enjoyed a drink on our arrival served by the pleasant bar man. All the staff we came into contact with were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The new spa area was great a real treat this morning - definitely recommend this hotel and spa. We had a fabulous 24 hours and hope to return soon. Thank you

Booked in for my 30th birthday and booked on their Guy Fawks event. Had a fantastic time! The staff were amazing! The food is amazing! The view is stunning and the spa is lovely. The room was a little bit disappointing hence the 4 star rating. However, we did booked late and I think it was a one off. The bed was comfort and the shower was hot and that's all that really counts. The hotel itself is beautiful. I chatted with the staff about the room and they were lovely about it. They were on with sorting it out after we left for the next people who visit. As a good will jester we got a beautiful bottle of wine. All in all a great place to stay and would go defo back!

Having had worked and stayed in beautiful located hotels before. The views are all good and lovely waking up over looking the lake.

But from booking this for my partners birthday over 4 months ago when they instantly took the full amount, I also booked a massage for her, the day before arrival, to find the moment I walked through the door to be presented with such bill before anything else, then a further payment of £75 if I wished to have a room account bill.

We decided to eat in the hotel that night as well. My partner enjoyed her meal but having been a chef in rosette kitchens I was very disappointed I had the pork bbq crackling the crackling itself was rancid and I didn’t eat it, the quennels of pork was nice. My main course of lamb rump was very tough.

We seemed to be rushed along with our meal till it came to deserts( which not being a sweet tooth ) I did say that was the best part of our meal. And was left with dirty desert plates for approx 20mins.

The choice of breakfast was ok but the continental choice was well not really continental ( ham and cheese with some fruit ) no continental meats.

I’ve had far better experiences in hotels and felt like it was very disappointing for the cost of the weekend. There was no comment cards available in the room are at reception when we checked out and was told they could get a duty manager !!

Glad my partner enjoyed her birthday anyway but won’t be rushing back if at all

First impressions, not great unfortunately, looks very drab and dirty from the car park. The nets on the windows look like they haven't been washed for years!!. Work was been done on entering the reception, but it does look nice and the reception staff are pleasant, but there didn't seem to be enough staff to help the amount of people eating, drinking and staying here. It would be nice if the staff had the same uniform on but that's me been picky.

We had afternoon tea which was nice apart from the scones which were rubbery

The room we stayed in was very big and had a lovely view of lake Windermere, the room itself needs updating, the curtains had mould on the back of them which is a bit off putting , the bed wasn't very comfortable, amenities in the room were ok. The bathroom was Ok, nice corner bath but the tiles look like there from 1970 and the shower took ages to get warm... defo needs a update.

The spa is very nice, the hot tub outside makes it and couldn't ask for a nicer place to relax, only downside was there was no appointments to have a massage or any other treatments done as there was no staff available to do these which isn't good for a spa!!

The meal at night was lovely but we felt a little secluded as there was a big dining area at the top and a few more tables which were placed a little to far away for my liking, the staff were very pleasant throughout the meal.

The view in the morning is beautiful.

Breakfast was nice

Overall I don't think I'd stay again .

First impressions weren’t great! There was work being done to the outside of the hotel and on the road leading up to it which we weren’t told about. Reception staff were nice and polite on arrival. Swimming pool & outdoor jacuzzi was nice and had a lovely view out onto Windermere lake & the mountains, however we weren’t given any robes or slippers as there was no staff around in the spa/pool area. Evening meal at Burlington’s was beautiful (I recommend the supreme chicken) we were booked in at 7.30pm but we were seated in the lounge area for over 30 mins whilst looking through the menu instead of being seated in the restaurant. Bedrooms were slightly dated but over looked the Lake which was nice in the morning. Our room smelt of smoke (probably from the previous guests) & the bed also wasn’t comfy so didn’t get a very good nights sleep. Breakfast was OK but only served until 9.30am.
