We will once again be screening the 6 Nations in our brewery tap!
We don't show many sports, but the 6 Nations has always gone down. And this year it looks like it could go down to the last match!
So come and join us for some brewery fresh beer and some civilised supporting!

We got a mention on BBC's Woman's Hour yesterday! Esteemed beer journalist and writer Melissa Cole was on talking cooking with beer, and beer and cheese matching and used one of our beers as an example of something great to go with Stilton cheese!
The programme is here, and the piece is from around 29:50 in: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0001jp b

We've brewed something a little special for the Independent Salford Beer Festival this year...

Christmas Opening Hours!
We're going to open a bit earlier on a couple of Fridays, and open up for a couple of Sunday afternoons for a bit of relaxed drinking.

User

We had an idea, people like the idea, we're going to do it.
As part of Tryanuary we're putting on an Evolution of Ale afternoon where we invite you to (buy tickets and) come along and join us drinking and talking through how beer has changed over the last 200(ish) years.
There will be beer, there will be me talking, there may even be a slide show!

We've been shortlisted for Best Brewery Tap in the Manchester Beer Week Awards.
We don't normally go for these awards, we tend to quietly get on with things, but it's great to see that people think we're doing a good job.
We've been running the tap for just over three years now, and have opened pretty much every single weekend, with ourselves behind the bar, pouring beers, chatting to customers, and making friends.
... So it'd be great if you went and voted for us.
https://www.mcrbeerweek.co.uk/awards/
But we'd be just as happy if you came out, had a beer and a chat, and saw what we're all about.
Cheers Steve & Lesley

We don't really do launch events when we release a new beer, we just put it on at the tap and out to trade.
But this beer is something different, the culmination of the first year of the @MCRHopProject, brewed with green hops grown in Manchester.
So come along and try it fresh at the brewery!

We don't really do Halloween here, we don't really do Guy Fawkes either.
But we do have a Table Top Gaming club, so this Day of the Dead come and take part in our Gloom Tournament!
Can you make other people happy before killing them off? Can you make your family miserable? Then come and take part!
... There will even be prizes! And the more people that take part, the more prizes we'll arrange. (We've already decided on the first prize, and it's pretty special!)

We're not just having foraged beers on at our brewery tap this weekend, but Berliner Weiss with foraged syrups too!

User

Been working on the information sheets ahead of this weekend's Wild Thing weekend!

User

If you're going to the beer bar at the Manchester Food & Drink Festival next weekend, you may see a few of our beers on at the bar in Albert Square!
And yes, that *is* Peach Bonnet in cask!

User

Yesterday I took a day off from brewing to deal with chasing up overdue invoices.
Today I've written a small blog piece about it: http://beernouveau.co.uk/cashflow/

Here's this week's BrewTapMap : https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewerâ €¦
We started doing this a while ago, and try and update it each week to track changes and occasional openings. It's now had over 82k views and seems to have become a bit of a staple resource for visitors to Manchester looking for local beer direct from the breweries!

User

This week we've been brewing with rowan berries and heather for two of the beers for our Wild Thing weekend in October, a Rowan Radler and a Heather Saison. Both these plants were foraged from our own garden where they've appeared and grown out of control!

We're organising a little something with the Third Friday Game Night (https://www.facebook.com/groups/13650349 7002139/) folks...

Random collection of local craft beer, mead, cider and other surprises. Wii for those that want to show off as they drink, barman will help you choose the perfect tipple and regale you with plenty of stories if you give him a chance

User

Myself and eldest son went here first on the Manchester brewery walk bought for us for Christmas. It was the first of three breweries on the walk and by far the best.

User

My second visit last night. Great hosts. Even better beer. Usually have beer in wooden casks. Can't wait for next visit. Did I say they stock Soffles pitta chips? No! Well they stock Soffles

User

Lovely beer and friendly atmosphere, a real gem in Manchester.

User

Just had a couple and a great chat with the brewer. Top notch...

User

Interesting Brewery.

Very friendly.

He is happy to experiment with different styles of beer and has the knowledge to back it all up.

It seems to me that the quality of the beer is his highest concern.

User

I loved the old recipes revived for Manchester Beer Week 2017. Beers from the wood were great.

User

How can you fault this operation? Through method, principles or results it all points to good beer from good people. Great day with good friends cannot fault.

User

Great space with gorgeous ales and lovely people. A bit off the beaten track but that just cements it's "hidden gem" status. Seek it out!

User

Great place, really knew their stuff and some great beers with a personal service.

Tap room very clean and some nice drinking and break out spaces. Would gladly visit next time we are down from London.

Great beer and an atmosphere to match. Steve and Lesley are great hosts.

User

Good beer, good atmosphere and a great selection. Lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

User

Fantastic beer in a wonderfully quirky setting. Steve is incredibly knowledgeable about brewing and the history of beer.

A must visit when the bar is open on Friday and Saturday and if his beers are on the bar elsewhere you must treat yourself.

User

Fantastic beer and lovely owners. When in Manchester, a trip to Beer Nouveau is a must.

User

Excellent beer brewed and served by the owner, a very charismatic and knowledgeable guy !! A pleasure to visit and return visit soon !!

User

Beer straight from the source. The owner is passionate about brewing, and uses a vegan process to boot!
