🌿 Gardening Tips Tuesday! 🌿
Now is the perfect time to trim hedges. If they are cut earlier, they usually need an extra trim before the end of the season. If you leave it later, the growth will have hardened up and be more difficult to cut ✂️

We visit Bents Garden Centre every couple of weeks, usually in the morning when we have either tea or coffee and Medium Granary Toast which is delicious, worth the drive even before you go round the store or garden centre. Also if later in the day the fine array of cakes is wonderful.

User

We had a lovely lunch for my husbands birthday. We bought a beautiful hydrangea bush and a pot to put it in. We also bought some ‘pot ornaments ‘ - little dragons, which are very sweet! Bents is a fairly long drive from our house, but we always have a good day and usually buy something beautiful.

I was very impressed with all the gorgeous planted containers, and may return to buy a couple.

User

This was my first visit and I could not believe how huge it was!! The plants were a little pricey but the quality and root complex on them was impressive. I loved the food hall and we had afternoon tea which was pleasant but not fabulous. However, the outside setting and service were really lovely, so all in all a good experience.

User

This is my absolute favourite garden centre. The food in the restaurant is gorgeous, the staff are really kind and efficient and the selection of plants and gifts is fantastic. I love a good shopping spree here! They cater really well for disabled customers also. Keep up the great work guys.

User

Please pass on our thanks to Kath who works in the garden centre, the lady who makes all the potted plants up, she was working this Saturday morning. She is always very pleasant and helpful and over the last few weeks has put together two beautiful pots for us. Thank you!

User

People say it’s expensive to eat here. I say the quality and portions of all the food I’ve tried is worth every penny, my only issue would be the cost of cold drinks in bottles

User

Not been here for quite a few years so surprised how it has grown fabulous you could spend all day here worth a visit plenty of food on offer 😀😀

User

Massive now! great selection of everything and gorgeous food choices. Cakes and pancakes to die for. Really lovely. Yes some things can be expensive but no need to be shocked as you can go elsewhere for them but for a nice treat and some lovely presents, it is great. Good things to entertain the children too, like an outdoor play area and inside sandpit.

great.

User

Love this garden centre, we had drinks and a snack sat out on the decking in the sun! Played crazy golf with our 11 year old and then did a bit of shopping. The plants are beautiful although a little expensive! A great day out!

User

Love the place been visiting for years and years. Never disappointed. Enjoyed a lovely sandwich in the cafe and purchased a beautiful clock and pot of flowers yesterday. Saw lots of things I wanted but the other half limited my spending 😂 Highly recommend visiting. I'll be there again soon.

User

First time visiting this vast centre. Lovely displays everywhere. School holidays so food queues were long. Opted for Tapas - brilliant food, but mix up with orders from another table. A "sorry" would have been good rather than excuse that BBC had been (changed table numbers ?)

User

Bents is quality. First and foremost the plants are excellent and there is a great range to choose from. I always visit the Roses! They have wheel chair available - which is useful because I always use one when I take my mother to visit.

The food is varied, the coffee good, but it is busy and it is expensive in the restaurant.

Occasionally guest gardeners present.

The food hall is excellent and I particularly like the Tapas Bar.

A great go to place!

User

A lovely place to spend a day out as there is so much to look at both indoor and outdoors plus a large selection of cafes to either have just a drink, a snack or a delicious meal.

User

Why can't you serve sandwiches on something lighter then a block of wood. I had two on a tray and it was so heavy. Waiting 20 mins to get served and being charged £35 for three sandwiches and three drinks didn't make me happy at all. The Christmas displays are beautiful, but sorry to say the Cafe experience spoilt our afternoon.

User

The place is okay, but very over priced especially the garden section.

More and more like a retail park every time we visit.

Also seems to attract some very rude people with inflated opinions of themselves👎🏽

User

Had a two hour visit walked round inside and out , Some bargains but on the whole a bit pricey but a great choice. Had a hot lunch and warm beer £15 !

But people love the choices of foods so they are on to a winner. Majority of couples where coffee and a cake

User

First timer very nice will be going back

Restaurant needs looking at if you wanted soups and pasta you have to stand in a queue for your pasta and then go to another queue and wait for the soup meanwhile your pasta is going cold not impressed

Out door log cabins need to open early to help out the restaurant

User

A very large selection of plants they are great quality but on the expensive side.

We have had lunch on several occasions and always enjoyed it but the queue was horrendous on Sunday so we gave it a miss. Disappointed 😔

I am sure you could make more sandwiches and salad in advance as you are so busy at peak times or take orders and have a team making them up and delivering to your table.

We have to work so can’t go midweek.

User

Not much of a garden cetre, more a department store. Doesnt really cater for gardeners, just thos that want to pay eye watering prices for everything. £8.10 for a cheese and branston pickle sandwich. Theyre having a laf f!!!
