With 15 years of travel behind him, including 7 years of intensive cruise work, Jon has a travel bug he has no intention of losing. Familiar with Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, P& O, Princess and Costa Cruise Lines there is little he doesn’t know about life between ports. ‘I think that waking up every day in a new destination with its own culture and experiences, is what makes cruising so special. Today’s ships are just like floating resorts, each with its own unique atmosphere & personality; I’m seeing a huge increase in demand, especially from younger couples, honeymooners and families with children – there’s a perfect cruise for everyone! ’
Totally fell in love with… ‘Head over heels, completely – Parga; a small town in northwest Greece. It has stunning sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, fabulous tavernas and a great mixture of modern and traditional Greece. I have recommended the resort to friends, family and customers alike and all of them have adored it. In fact, most of them have been back more than once’
My customers raved about… ‘Oceania Marina. I would say that Oceania are a luxury cruise line, slightly below Regent Seven Seas and I can highly recommend them. My customers had enjoyed sailing with Cunard, Princess and Celebrity but were looking for a smaller, more intimate cruise. The staff on board are extremely highly trained, having worked for the likes of the Ritz Carlton group and pride themselves on providing the best service at sea. The dress code with Oceania is ‘country club casual’ so no formal dress is needed. The ship features genuine works from Picasso and a huge collection of Murano glass. Very impressive! ’
Latest trip… Was a weekend break to Reykjavik. The highlights included a trip to the blue lagoon and off road quad biking. Unfortunately the Northern Lights were not visible so I guess that means we will have to go back again. Oh well, every cloud has a silver lining.

Recently returned from a trip to Seville organised through Jon and the Best Destinations team. From start to finish it was brilliant. Constant communication, the best price and everything was thought of and organised even down to transfers and recommendations. Just returned from a holiday booked through Best destinations. Excellent communication and customer service from start to finish.
We gave Jon a specific (long) list for what we wanted as it was close by (flight times, flight and transfer distance, hotel requirements, selected dates etc) and nothing was too much trouble.

Just got back from our 11 night stay in Peru � booked by Best Destinations... what a fantastic trip!
We spent 3 nights in Lima, 6 on the Inca Trail Trek, 1 night in Cuzco and 1 night in Puno.
Lima was a good capital city to explore, lots of culture, history and even a beach. In Puno we went on a boat tour of Lake Titikaka which was brilliant, really interesting to see the floating islands and enjoy the weather. Cuzco was a lovely town, a really enjoyable place to stay, luckily we didn’t get altitude sickness.
The Inca Trek to Machu Picchu was absolutely incredible... GAdventures were brilliant. The staff, the food, the facilities (hotels, equipment etc), everything was great.
Jon did a great job of organizing the whole trip for Ben and I which really helped as we didn’t have time to research everything in-depth before we went. All the hotels were in great locations, the trek experience was the best week ever and the airlines used were very reasonably priced for the distance.
Will definitely be using GAdventures and Best Destinations again!
I would highly recommend Jon @ Best Destinations. He has manged to take all the stress and time elements of booking a group holiday away for me! I gave him a rough idea of where I would like to go and when. He came back with a deal that couldn't of been more perfect. Sorted everything out for me including transfers and will be doing the online check in for us before we go too! I will definitely be using his service again and have already recommended him to friends and family. Leave the hard work to the professionals in terms of organising and booking - and enjoy your holiday!
Home after the best 5 days in tenerife with my friends. Originally booked with monarch and it was cancelled but this didnt cause a problem as another holiday was found quickly and was exactly what we wanted if not better. Very impressed and will be recommending best destinations
