Coronavirus update. Government advice: If your child has mild symptoms such as a persistant cough or fever/temprature can you please keep them home to self isolate for seven days. Please call your childs nursery to inform us of the illness. Thank you.
The children from Slade Lane and Longsight nursery had lots of fun celebrating world book day. They came dressed in their faviroute character and brought in books from home to share with their friends and teachers. Some of the children made thier own books whilst the others enjoyed listening to a variety of stories. Take a look at just a few of our pictures from across both nurseries, their outfits were fantastic. Remember your child is never to young, try to share at least one book each day with them because opening books with your child is like opening doors to a better future.
The children at Longsight have been getting involved in Chinese New Year celebrations, over the last week or so we have turned our role play area into a chinese restaurant and set out different tough trays adding our own chinese soup and soft noodles. We have also been doing mark making and copying Chinese writing. Lots more activities planned and more pictures to follow..

15 hours and 30 hours free funded places also available. Please call 0161 248 1526 for more information.
This week in Longsight Nursery we are taking part in Children in need week. To help the children understand about children who are less fortunate we asked the parents to bring a toy or clothing their child doesnβt use anymore to donate to our local charity. We explained to the children that their item will bring another child a lot of joy and happiness. Just a reminder the children will be making cakes this week for our cake sale on Thursday and Friday. Also, we will be wearing pyjamas on Friday with a Β£1 donation for children in need, Thank you.
We are so lucky to have such fantastic volunteers across Big Life who play a huge part in helping people change their lives. #VolunteersWeek

Our chicks are really coming on now. They have began to get their feathers. The children have really enjoyed watching them grow. It has been a great learning experience for them. π₯π₯π₯
Five little chicks came out to play in the rooms today and the children were all so happy to be able to stroke them. They are so fluffy and soft they commented. The children helped us to clean out the brooder and put fresh food and water in. We also named the chicks, so we have Pep , Cocoa, Elvis, Cookie and Fluffy ππ₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π
Three little chicks so far. So fluffy and cute . The children, parent's and staff are so excited to see the new additions to Slade Lane. The other eggs are showing signs of hatching soon moving about, hopefully we will have more by the end if the day ππ₯π€π£
Feeling eggcited...today we have had a delivery of eggs to our nursery on Slade Lane. Hopefully in the next day or so baby chicks will begin to hatch. The children will have the opportunity to watch first hand the life cycle of a chicken. Watch this space for updates and photos. π£π£π€π€π₯π₯
