Bolton Abbey Club Site Description

Bolton Abbey Caravan Club Site is one of the prettiest locations on the network - it is part of the Bolton Abbey estate and located in an open glade surrounded by woodland and the glorious Yorkshire Dales. The site attracts lots of wildlife with ducks, pheasants, other birds and squirrels often congregating around the site. Within the boundaries of the estate are some 75 miles of footpaths through moors, woods and farmlands, all easily accessible from the caravan site. The woods include some lovely dog walks. The ruins of the 12th century Bolton Priory stand on a placid curve of the River Wharf and have been painted by Turner and Landseer as well as earning praise from Wordsworth.

We decided to visit Bolton Abbey last minute in our motorhome Phoned the wonderful Janet at the campsite who was so friendly and helpful. We had a lovely nIghts stay. The site was so clean and well organised. We’ll be back. Thank you.

Very nice site in a beautiful location. Miles of wonderful riverside walks, small villages & country pubs. Only downside was even though the site has a TV BOOSTER system in place we couldn't get any TV Signal to watch the England game. Had to find a pub to watch it in..

Lovely, well kept site. Plenty of walks in the wonderful grounds of Bolton Abbey. It's a shame about some of the clientele that spoil it for the rest of us.

User

Lovely, quiet site, with plenty to do out and about. Beautiful walks from the site along the river to Bolton Abbey and Barden. Plenty of tea rooms, pubs etc. TV poor (stay at home if that's what you want), no mobile phone signal but CC Wi-Fi good.

User

Lovely well kept site in a lovely setting, lots of walks to go on around the estate, will be back again

User

Lovely site with extremely friendly and helpful wardens.Lovely location close to Skipton and Grassington plus easy walking distance of some beautiful attractions. Will definitely return!

User

Lovely clean quite site, lots of lovely walks so great for our dogs. Toilets lovely and clean, site wardens lovely and friendly. Not many TV channels but we didnt come on holiday to watch TV!! Phone signal in certain areas but then we've come away for piece and quite. Wifi available for a charge.

User

Just simple to say that this site is perfect.

I don't want to say too much coz its only small & books up quickly so want to make sure I can get in.

Only problem is off site when walking our skittish dog - too many people with dogs off lead which really upsets us.

User

Great site near the lovely Bolton Abbey

A site set in a mature wooded area. The wardens are lovely, nothing too much trouble. The site is tidy and the facilities so clean. Lovely at Easter when there is the Egg hunt along the strid , children love it. So many things to do and the lovely Market town of Skipton with its Tea rooms, restaurants and pubs. Well worth a weekend/week.

Lots of awning pitches but none fully serviced.

Great club site with excellent wardens.. toilet block is spotless albeit that they could do with an upgrade.. zero phone signal which is a relief.. club wifi is good so you can remain in touch with the world.. only 8 tv channels available via digital Ariel which completely vanish when it rains.. even with thes issues the site is perfect go peace and quite easy and tough walking and is definitely on my list for future stays... ps the arch at Bolton Abbey on the way to the entrance is a lot wider than it looks 👍🏻

User

Bolton Abbey club site is a really beautiful place to stay. With so much wild life and walks you never need to leave until it's time to check out !!

We were held up due to motorway closures but had a very warm welcome from the very kind temp wardens who let us in as they wanted to "settle us in safely for the night "

We will definitely return to Bolton Abbey, it's our favourite site.

A great site - lovely and clean and tidy... A very quiet site and your really are of the beaten track on this site... No phone signal (what a bonus)... so close to a great riverside walk all the way to Bolton Abbey grounds and the little village... A real find and we will deffo will be back... Can't find any faults at all... Loved it

User

Super place - well hidden from roads. Pitches are generous hard standing areas. Great walks around area - great for dog walkers too. TV reception is not good at all - analogue only and that can be poor if weather poor. Take a tv cable! Shower block small but clean. No mobile signal .. but site info explains that in advance. Would we return... its a YES from us! Great place.

User

One of the nicest sites weve ever been on in UK . Lovely and peaceful ,with amazing walks beside the river . Ducks , squirrels and deer on the site . Very clean and beautifully landscaped

Are you looking for a busy site, with action packed activitys with great TV reception and a fabulous phone signal so work can get hold of you every 5 mins? Well this sight is not for you.

Set in the beautiful North Yorkshire Country Park with stunning views and beautiful walks down by the river, you will relax without any interruptions, plenty of good food pubs within a short walk or drive. A great location.
