I had my gorgeous baby girl Matilda Grace at Ingleside on 21 June 2018 at 18.51 I cant speak highly enough of the care and encouragement I received from the staff, who helped me bring her safely and calmly into the world.... an experience I thought I could never have!! The surroundings are equally as calm, and lovely especially the Lavender room, it made my last labour experience one to remember for the right reasons οΏ½οΏ½ Thank You xxx

I came into Ingleside on Sunday evening, after starting labour on my due date with my first baby! I was greeted by Katie and Lindsay the two midwives who had come over from Bolton, Katie was my lead midwife. I felt welcomed straight away and felt nervous, excited and everything else that comes with it.

Katie was so friendly and warm and I felt an innocent connection that I could trust her, even though I told her later on I couldn’t do it, she believed in me and told me I could!

I knew straight away she’d be there! She sensed my partner was extremely nervous especially when I was in the water in pain and she spoke to him, kept him calm and lead us both through each step. She answered my questions, through my gas and air blur and never made me feel silly. She made me feel dignified and gave me strength when I felt like I was going to give up.

My labour at Ingleside started really well but unfortunately due to complications right near the end we had to go to bolton hospital in an emergency, Katie held my hand, and Lindsay supported my worried partner and stayed with me throughout the whole time until my little boy arrived safely in theatre. Katie was next to me in theatre and guided me all the way along with all the amazing staff in Bolton!

Katie and Lindsay will never know how grateful I am for bringing Alexander into world safely and being calm when I was in a total panic. I have total admiration for both these midwives! It wasn’t the serene waterbirth I’d hoped for but in an emergency both these women dealt with it with grace, professionalism and genuine care and i wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ingleside to any mums to be.

Apologies to Katie for being dramatic at times in my scared and panicked state but thank you for being there! Xxx
