Competition winners revealed

We had a party for my daughters 21st and had Bowens butter and meat and potato pies served for all the guests. They went down a treat with compliments from lots of the guests x thanks Emma. Will definitely used Bowens again if we party again 😆

The pies are delicious. The shop is gleaming it's so clean. The girl behind the counter is really pleasant.

I went in for a quick pie and coffee in a busy day. Brilliant. 👍

So yesterday I tried my very first Bowen pie.....

A potato and meat that really deserves the true title of 'Meat and Potato' because these pies hark back to an era before mass production and the sludge we're offered in many of today's offerings.

So impressed I'm making it a personal mission to travel to Adlington at least once a month to sample each and every pie they produce.

Award winners and judging from my first experience a truly deserved title.

OMG!!!! Bowen's pies are delicious!!!! Im addicted to em! I gladly travel over to chorley from wirral... an take home a good helpin of their Pork Pies....and esp their Blackpuddin Pork Pies!

Hot...are the best...but still marvalous cold!

Just been out with my wife for a motorbike ride and stopped at Bowens pies in Chorley for lunch. I've got to say I had one of the nicest pies I have ever had so just to make sure I had another which was also superb. I had a black pudding and meat and a steak pie my wife had a meat and potato which was surprisingly more meat Than potato which makes a refreshing change from your normal pie shop pie

I want to for my tea and we had some bowers pies which My son and picked up today when he visited the shop it was truly scrumptious nearly as good as the pies I makeand that's a compliment in itself I only have my kindhearted son will get me another pie soon

I love pies but Bowens take it to another another level .The Puddings are to die for am telling you now ,the best Ive ever had .Its a 10 from Len and that will Ding Dang Doo for me .The shop is immaculate and the staff obviously love what they do .Keep it up Bowens ����

Had the steak pie purchased from a farmers market in Market Harlborough on a recent visit. The was truly fantastic. Full of flavour. I need to found an outlet down here on Hayling island or Portsmouth area !!

Great tasting pies, chunky steak is my favourite! Also as Vicar of the local church down the road here at St Peter's, I want to say a huge thank you to Bowen's for supporting our recent Christmas Fair as well, a true friendly and community based business. �

Born and bred in the pie capital that is Wigan, we have lived abroad and all over England but never have we found anything as good as a Lancashire Pie, nowhere else can they get the pastry right. Then my wife Googled " Traditional Lancashire Pies" and up came Bowen. We ordered 6 each of Meat, Pork, and meat and potato. Our craving is well satisfied , they are fantastic, pies with jelly, and just as we remember from childhood.

Best pies without a doubt. Found the shop while I had some work done on the boat. Now make regular trips up there for my fix.

Best pies i have ever tasted delivered to your door, what more could a northerner ask for.

I'm not usually one for leaving negative feedback however since my phone call with the company regarding a meat nd potato pie I baught from the cornish bakery in Lancaster to which I found a snail in. I feel like there apology wasn't sincere and they feel like it was acceptable and have got away with it. As a sorry why would I want more pies delivered to me when it made me really ill and has put me off them. I felt like I had to put this just to warn others. I'm not happy with how they dealt with it and I shall be looking into who to report it to. Unfortunately due to this as well the cornish bakery has lost several customers due to my experience!! This didn't even deserve a 1 however there was no lower rating.
