What an amazing day with such lovely spirited visitors! We felt very privileged to be part of such an outstanding event and can only imagine that with the demand now known, that the infrastructure will be in place next time to ensure an even more spectacular day. Thank you all of you who came to support the Christmas market and also the beautifully refurbished #TheStablesCafe (whom coped admirably with such a crowd). We truly appreciate your custom and look forward to more special events at Bramall Hall.

User

What a fantastic event loved it and all the stalls great start to Christmas shopping

User

What a fantastic event & an amazing backdrop with the hall behind, can't wait for the next one.

User

We would like to thank everyone who visited the Christmas Artisan Market and our honey & beeswax stall. Thanks also to TheMarketCo and Bramall Hall staff for putting on such an enjoyable event. Hopefully back next year!

User

We had a fab morning at the markets! There were some great stalls! I think we were lucky as we didn't experience any parking/driving issues or queuing due to going first thing & parking away from the venue. Hopefully something can be arranged to try and resolve that for anything happening in the future

User

Thankyou to bramall hall and market co for a truly amazing day and venue. It was lovely to see so many people young and not so young visit the market thus making it a great day.x

User

I would like to say a massive big thank you to the organisers of this event, yes there were problems, but hey, they are fully on board with it and working with the local community to resolve them for any future events. I would also like to say a huge big thank you to everyone who came to support small local businesses, you're amazing! You all made for a fantastic day, thank you again and I really hope there will be future events.

User

Great day. Lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed looking around the hall too. Would have liked to have seen more food stalls though. We parked at a friends house in the village and walked, so we didn't experience any traffic or parking issues. I think it's a bit unfair to blame traffic solely on the event as no doubt the few sets of roadworks and temporary lights on the surrounding roads didn't help matters. It's alright saying the organisers should have put on more parking, but where? As adults, the people who parked blocking in local residents or making it difficult for emergency services to get through, need to take responsibility for their own actions.

User

Great atmosphere, lovely range of locally designed, made and sourced products, perfect start to Christmas shopping.

User

From the point of view of a small business owner who was lucky enough to have a stall at this event, it was an incredible day! I am a new business & this was only my second event. It was wonderful to see that in a world increasingly dominated by the big corporates, the public is actually willing to support small one-person businesses who are prepared to put themselves out there and have a go! Thanks to all who came & supported.

User

Fabulous market event - I was lucky enough to be a trader and it was a truly fabulous day!

Everyone that I spoke to said how wonderful it was and how much they had enjoyed it !! Well done for organising Denise

User

A wonderful market - lovely food and great Christmas gifts. I went with a group of friends - we all loved it - and it was lovely to talk to all the Makers. Well organised too!

User

A lovely event. Lots of nice local sellers within a good variety of gifts and food with a festive and friendly atmosphere. It was nice to see the walled garden being put to good use after laying empty for so many years. I hope the park holds more markets like this in the future.

User

Was totally blown away by how successful and popular this market was, and on a Thursday! Inside the market was a lovely atmosphere with a great range of good quality handmade items. The sheer number of people surprised everyone I think. Many of the stall holders attend markets all over the place and were blown away by the support shown by everyone that attended. I know there were significant issues with parking and access wasn't brilliant for us either (try pushing trollies over cobbles and tree roots or loading cars in the dark) but the overall event was brilliant. The organisers seem to have taken on board people's comments (remember they aren't in control of local roadworks or traffic) and hopefully with the support of the council they will be able to make this a future event that everyone will love!

User

The markets were ok with me.

There were plenty of stalls of all kinds of arty goods from sculptures, food stuffs, prints and leather/woollen wear.

Plenty of space between stalls despite being quite busy.

Only real grumble being the food sellers and eating area.

At times, you could be waiting 20 mins to be served and then seating was very sparse.

And finally, where was a Christmas tree .

Worth a bimble around though.

User

Lucky enough to live close by so no problem driving there. Stalls were ok but not enough food ones and by the time we arrived at about 2.00 the mulled wine and pies had all gone. Would of preferred it to be held later in November.

User

It was ok. Could have done with more food and drink stalls as they all had really long queues. The craft stalls were nice but not necessarily very 'Christmassy'. It needed more atmosphere - more music and xmas decorations, people dressed up as elves, Santa or old fashioned costume promoting the hall maybe, entertaining the kids etc. I also think it's off putting to ask people to pay to get in, seems really cheeky to me. Good effort, and with a few tweaks could be great!!

User

Distinctly average. The stalls were nice but there weren't really very many when you compare to other Christmas markets (for example Chatsworth, which is lovely) and hardly any selling food. I appreciate that idiotic parking is down to the individual and not the event, however it was so poorly managed that I understand those who have abandoned their cars out of frustration. Once we'd fought our way to the park entrance there were two throughly bored souls stood at the entrance with signs saying the car parks were full. They would have been more useful stood further away to prevent utter chaos in the surrounding streets. I completely understand the upset of local residents. I wouldn't bother in future, but the park itself is really lovely to visit away from the markets.

User

Poorly arranged as so little or no thought given to providing sufficient car parking on site leading to horrendous issues on the surrounding roads. OK you can get your supporters to post 5* reviews of the event and delete the posts that you do not like off your timeline but you were responsible for the chaos around Bramhall Park. You can blame your attendees for parking on the roadside and say you are not responsible for how they have parked but that does not take away your responsibility of bringing so many people and cars into your event and not providing the parking space for them in the first place. Local councillors had an emergency meeting last night and are now looking into this matter to prevent such issues happening again. There was no way an ambulance or fire engine could have got through the chaos your event caused. So you need to rethink how you organise any events in future and take consideration for the local community.
