Kids love it here. And the food is great. Paying for kids to play in the play area (as it was free before) is a sham. If I'm paying 60 quid on food and drink the least you can do is let the kids play for free!

I have been here today it was lovely the food is well good but the ice cream are the best the kids had a love time playing in the play area and enjoy the food and the staff where friendly definitely be going back xx

We came back after a few years to try it again and we were not disappointed we all had a great meal and swift service compared with our last visit.. my daughter played i the children's play area for about half an hour before her dinner arrived and promised if she ate all her dinner she could return however it closes at 8pm when she had finally finished so she was slightly disappointed until i mentioned the time and she realized it was beyond bedtime so left smiling... we will return soon but earlier in the day so we dont feel rushed

Read a few reviews on this medium, and got to say what a bunch of keyboard warriors! Listen: you get what what you pay for - yes, it's not Claridges or The Ritz, it's pub grub. Can't argue with the staff and service. Well priced and food not too bad, and if you're like me and you fancy 2 hours peace with your better half, 3 quid a kid in the play area IS a bargain.

I can’t give an excellent rating because I haven’t visited the restaurant in 3 years, however I visited with my daughter who initially wanted to go for a carvery and changed her mind the last minute, she made a good decision as we were greeted upon arrival and shown our table, food was ordered and was delivered quickly, food went down a treat and staff were helpful and friendly, nice clean restaurant with a family atmosphere, I will not leave it for another 3 years until our next visit! We visited on saturday there was 15 in our party which included children, eventually when we got seated after my daughter booking a table, they brought food out supposedly for us but was nothing that we had ordered, it was for another table completly, the children were getting restless, they had left 1 starter off the order, none of us enjoyed the meal, i wont be going back anytime soon the service was unbelievable having to keep repeating whst we had ordered, i wouldnt recommend this place

Slow service 50 minute wait for order, but had to ask how long it was gonna be as we had a further 2 hour journey ahead to get home. Granted the place was full but as far as I could see not enough cooks in the kitchen, the steak was medium to well done and couldn't chew it very well, but to send it back would have taken to long to have it replaced.

It was ok. Pleasant staff food above average and paramedics at the table across from us seeing to an unwell customer. Not his fault and hope he is well. The manager should have closed the area off when they knew he was unwell and an ambulance was on its way for him to A. Give him some quiet and privacy and B. to ensure the diners weren't put out by the paramedics performing their duties whilst trying to enjoy their afternoon. Would have been a 5 but for that.

Great place for kids; plenty to keep them occupied. Fantastic desserts, all I can say is yummmm! Pleasant staff. Unfortunately that's where the good stuff stops. We had a cavery, which I had to say wasn't great at all. The meat was either dry or very rare, the veggie choice was severely lacking, the roasters & Yorkshires were overcooked. Worst of all, everything was only just luke warm and felt as if sat there for an eternity. I was quite unwell after eating and could be due to eating this food. I have to say, overall, very disappointing �

Sadly the food we received was a poor standard. Yes it was busy but the quality should no be affected.The chips were as dry as a bone, to me they had been cooked earlier and just warmed up. The peas also were hard and dry. I will not be returning .

Had to ask for main meal at bar after waiting 20 mins plus after finishing out starters. Requested garlic mayo as were offered sauces, and also forks as we had used them for the starters, once the main meal arrived.



Ended up having to eat our main meal without forks ( was possible as we had ordered burgers and chips).



This may be due to the time of day we ordered our meals (13.36) and we were not in bar staffs eyeline (table 53.



Disappointing as service has been good previously.

Sometimes how you deal with a complaint is just as important as good customer service. In this instance our complaint was dealt with swiftly and fairly. Faith in the business and its staff is restored.



As such 5 stars should be recorded within the App for dealing with our complaint in a professional manner.

food was bad they only gave you a small potion they need to give you better poitions

Wouldn't even give it one star. Service was good and staff was friendly but that was it! The food was shocking came out cold sent it back and they just heated it in microwave. £10 for the smallest portion of food ever and even the kids meal was too small for my 18 month old son. The play area was 'ok' nothing to write home about. I won't ever be going back. Waste of money.

Went with hubby and 3 kids , spent £45 quid on food and then told we had to pay £3 per child for the play area,ridiculous especially when you are purchasing food ,a child had a wee in the play area so it was closed after 5 mins of kids being in there, there were children running in and out the tables whilst we were eating and neither parents or staff asked them to calm down it was like a playground and to top it off the toilets were out of order :-( never had a bad experience here but I have definitely been put off and will not return ,absolutely shocking :-(

If you can’t cater for the amount of seats you have in the place then you shouldn’t be open. All we got was sorry your ticket is next. Hhhmmmmmm because that’s helpful eh

Shit, booked table for 13 people got there to be told no booking, eventually found somewhere for us to sit, then waited over an hour for food, which all came mixed up some starters never came at all, and what food did come my 7yr old could have cooked better, this isn’t the first time this has happened unfortunately it’s the only place to go for kids to play in darwen

Came here on Sunday as a party of about 20 they told us that they had another booking not so long after so so we felt rushed into ordering food straight away! The food came out at different times people where finished before others had even got theirs. We ordered pudding which all came out separate and then I had to ask 3 times for my sons pudding I paid £5 for! They brought him a child 79p ice cream! I then went to ask for a refund at this point they ran out with the correct ice cream for him but he had already gotten bored waiting and didn’t want it anymore none of us was even offered a refund or gesture for the awful service they provided!! We come here a lot but won’t be again
