Me and my family were in tonight for my dad's birthday meal. Table was all set up ready to go and was lovely and clean. we all ordered separately so there was understandably a slight gap between meals but not bad at all considering there was 12 of us! The food was delicious and hot. I REALLY enjoyed the curries ! everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful and the service felt genuine. Particularly Louise who served us on the bar and the manager (blond hair, black and white blouse) who looked after my dad's cake! Thank you for a really pleasant expierence!

Had a really nice meal Friday 13th April 2018 I had the smothered chicken and my daughter had the half roast chicken both meal good value. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Went there with my son for lunch on thursday . I ordered there new fish burger which came with chips and coleslaw which i really enjoyed . I was served by a lovely lady called Jo who is always so helpful and nice . I find your dinning experience is so much nicer if the staff are nice . 😊 jo is a credit to the burleydam .

Visited here 4 times this year. Impressed with the table service. It was our daughters birthday on the last occasion and the waitress kindly brought her cake to the table with candles. We have waited between 20 mins and 45 mins for our food on each occasion although there were 5 different main meals. The food has always been delicious and hot. A nice family friendly pub overall.

KIDS PARTY!!! We recently had our daughters 5th birthday party at Burleydam 14-1-18. I found it great value for money. The two members of staff working in the play area and organising the party worked really hard and nothing was too much trouble.

All 16 children had a meal from the menu, plenty of juice and a lolly ice.

The only thing i would say is i thought the childrens meals were served a little late on in the party so then it was a little rushed at the end singing "happy birthday" and giving out goody bags but we would definitly have a party there again as i'm sure it wouldn't be too much trouble to ask for the meals earlier. My Little girl had a lovely time. Thankyou.

It was ok but very expensive...8 pound for a bottle of doom and a coke.i didn't want bottomless ,and the play area should be free not 3 pound for nowt really...apart from that ok I spose

Very disappointing told fully booked when we arrived and Most of the tables that were empty had reserved on them as someone left we asked if we could have there table which they agreed in the end, huge que to order food and drinks to then be told 1 hour and 30min wait on food, by this time it wasn't that busy food was ok!! Not great and the whole time we was there till the end of the night no one sat at any of the reserved tables only good thing about this place is the kids area which they love such a shame

Oh dear, what an experience! Not one I wish to repeat any time soon :-( Met up with some friends from toddler group who wanted to catch up from summer. Lovely so far. Met in play area & paid for breakfast buffet which at £8.99 is quite steep but didn't challenge this as it's probably the going rate... Anyway, ate breakfast and felt it was poor quality and rubbery / overcooked, so decided to inform the staff of this afterwards (not asking for replacement or refund) just that it could've been fresher / better quality only to be met with a defensive attitude, no 'sorry about this' or 'thank you for your constructively feedback, we'll pass your comments to the chef / manager'. End of matter you would think only it wasn't. On our way out, we were abruptly challenged as to an apparently 'unpaid' continental breakfast & coffee which after a challenging 'three-way' conversation, it didn't happy. The member of waiting on staff concerned ended up crying because she was challenged and a manager drafted in to rectify the issue. Basically, unaware we were being watched like hawks whilst eating at the instruction of her line manager (which I strongly object to), we were accused of wrong-doing because we dared to share a croissant due to it not being eaten by myself and a left-over coffee, we were then made to feel like naughty children / fraudsters. I've worked in customer facing roles on the front line and there's a certain way to address things and this wasn't said as nicely as it could've been in my opinion!



One paid for coffee later by my friend provided as cash given directly to the manager as a matter of principal and not paid into a till (which I felt and mentioned that he should not have accepted this at the time), we left. For the record, it was neither our intention to upset the member of staff who accused US of being rude, nor was it our intention to fraud Burleydam out of their profits.



I think it's safe to say that we won't be returning any time soon; there is far too much choice within our local setting to have to be putting up with that sort of treatment. Thanks for reading!

I’ve had better in worse places - Struggling to give a 2, buyer beware - the kitchen goes into meltdown if they get more than 4 simultaneous orders - ordered at twenty past seven, starters were prompt, but nothing for an hour - even when prompted, do I need to whinge on... we’re not the only punters unhappy with the lack of service - hay-ho, they’re not doing themselves any favours in this day and age. If your experience is any better - great, but ours was flatter than a witches tit, and that’s slating witches that is.

I wasn't very happy with the customer service for many reasons. One of the main reasons was a down to the fact I got moved off a table which was not made reserved however when ordering my main course and drinks I was forced to move tables because the appointed table I was sat on was reserved, it was embarrassing in front of all the other customers in that day. I won't be coming back until I get an apology from this, i regularly go to brewers fayre burleydam for lunch and dinner with friends.

To the minute we walked through the door waited 10 minutes while the restaurant was empty to then be seated waiting for a waitress to serve only to find out we had to go the bar to order after we took it upon ourselves to go an find a waitress and ask. The whole experience was just a joke! Fair to say we won’t be going back!!!

Our experience tonight was awful. We waited 1hr for food after being told by a staff member the carvery was no good! We saw a tabke.bext to us have all the meals bar 1 brought out and about 40mins later the final meal. We then went to order pudding to be told they had ran out when we could see the food in the cabinet to which one of the waiters lied to my husband and said the cakes were fake! We then asked a chef who said they were fresh but it was the end of the day so they were probably all going to be thrown out as this happens every day. I counted 25 puddings in that case that were refusing to be sold to us and were going to be binned which is a tragic waste food. Safe to say we won't be returning

Ordered chicken bacon salad , waited an hour . Sorry not worth waiting for , 10 of us , waited 10 mins extra for mine , chicken was chewy and bacon hard , cucumber soggy in the middle had to ask for dressing . Staff run off there feet , one person serving at the bar , queue round the corner .

We then had to wait a further hour and a quarter before our mains arrived, having watched some groups arrive after us and leave, whilst we where sat waiting. Another couple sat on the next table, had to ask 3 times for their child's desert before it eventually arrived, and another family group stormed out after waiting for over an hour for their child's desert. We made a formal complaint through their website, and yet still after over 3 weeks, we have not had a response to our complaint. Total lack of customer care and service. They don't even deserve 1 star.

Some of the party had to wait an hour for food then when rest of us went for food from chefs counter, not enough there for everyone on my table, let alone anyone else wanting it and it looked as though it had been there all night. Had to wait for more food, so by then, the others had nearly finished their meals. Staff then transferred the fresh food into serving dishes with his hands Nice! Asked for a refund. Told someone would be coming to see us. Waited and waited. Had to ask again for someone to give a refund. Not the first time I have complained about food there. Only went back for a friend’s anniversary. Never again!

Definitely do not recommend! Went with my family 4 adults and 4 children. We ordered at 14:06 to be told there was a 45 min wait that was fine kids could play and adults could have a chat while we waited. We waited for an hour and 10mins by this time the kids where starving and fed up of waiting. So I went and asked how much longer. Was told they would be out in 10 mins and sure enough 2 adult meals where brought. But that was it! We waited another 35mins for kids meals and 2 other adult meals to turn up after I went and asked for a 2nd time. By this time our family had already eaten. Not only that but when our 6 year old daughters meal arrived a hot dog the bun was that hard you could break a window with it!! Again had to wait another 10mins for this to be sorted not so much as a apology just will get a fresh one! Was absolutely terrible and very poor service. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!

Me and my family were in tonight for my dad's birthday meal. Table was all set up ready to go and was lovely and clean. we all ordered separately so there was understandably a slight gap between meals but not bad at all considering there was 12 of us! The food was delicious and hot. I REALLY enjoyed the curries ! everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful and the service felt genuine. Particularly Louise who served us on the bar and the manager (blond hair, black and white blouse) who looked after my dad's cake! Thank you for a really pleasant expierence!

Had a really nice meal Friday 13th April 2018 I had the smothered chicken and my daughter had the half roast chicken both meal good value. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Went there with my son for lunch on thursday . I ordered there new fish burger which came with chips and coleslaw which i really enjoyed . I was served by a lovely lady called Jo who is always so helpful and nice . I find your dinning experience is so much nicer if the staff are nice . 😊 jo is a credit to the burleydam .

Visited here 4 times this year. Impressed with the table service. It was our daughters birthday on the last occasion and the waitress kindly brought her cake to the table with candles. We have waited between 20 mins and 45 mins for our food on each occasion although there were 5 different main meals. The food has always been delicious and hot. A nice family friendly pub overall.

KIDS PARTY!!! We recently had our daughters 5th birthday party at Burleydam 14-1-18. I found it great value for money. The two members of staff working in the play area and organising the party worked really hard and nothing was too much trouble.

All 16 children had a meal from the menu, plenty of juice and a lolly ice.

The only thing i would say is i thought the childrens meals were served a little late on in the party so then it was a little rushed at the end singing "happy birthday" and giving out goody bags but we would definitly have a party there again as i'm sure it wouldn't be too much trouble to ask for the meals earlier. My Little girl had a lovely time. Thankyou.

It was ok but very expensive...8 pound for a bottle of doom and a coke.i didn't want bottomless ,and the play area should be free not 3 pound for nowt really...apart from that ok I spose

Very disappointing told fully booked when we arrived and Most of the tables that were empty had reserved on them as someone left we asked if we could have there table which they agreed in the end, huge que to order food and drinks to then be told 1 hour and 30min wait on food, by this time it wasn't that busy food was ok!! Not great and the whole time we was there till the end of the night no one sat at any of the reserved tables only good thing about this place is the kids area which they love such a shame

Oh dear, what an experience! Not one I wish to repeat any time soon :-( Met up with some friends from toddler group who wanted to catch up from summer. Lovely so far. Met in play area & paid for breakfast buffet which at £8.99 is quite steep but didn't challenge this as it's probably the going rate... Anyway, ate breakfast and felt it was poor quality and rubbery / overcooked, so decided to inform the staff of this afterwards (not asking for replacement or refund) just that it could've been fresher / better quality only to be met with a defensive attitude, no 'sorry about this' or 'thank you for your constructively feedback, we'll pass your comments to the chef / manager'. End of matter you would think only it wasn't. On our way out, we were abruptly challenged as to an apparently 'unpaid' continental breakfast & coffee which after a challenging 'three-way' conversation, it didn't happy. The member of waiting on staff concerned ended up crying because she was challenged and a manager drafted in to rectify the issue. Basically, unaware we were being watched like hawks whilst eating at the instruction of her line manager (which I strongly object to), we were accused of wrong-doing because we dared to share a croissant due to it not being eaten by myself and a left-over coffee, we were then made to feel like naughty children / fraudsters. I've worked in customer facing roles on the front line and there's a certain way to address things and this wasn't said as nicely as it could've been in my opinion!



One paid for coffee later by my friend provided as cash given directly to the manager as a matter of principal and not paid into a till (which I felt and mentioned that he should not have accepted this at the time), we left. For the record, it was neither our intention to upset the member of staff who accused US of being rude, nor was it our intention to fraud Burleydam out of their profits.



I think it's safe to say that we won't be returning any time soon; there is far too much choice within our local setting to have to be putting up with that sort of treatment. Thanks for reading!

I’ve had better in worse places - Struggling to give a 2, buyer beware - the kitchen goes into meltdown if they get more than 4 simultaneous orders - ordered at twenty past seven, starters were prompt, but nothing for an hour - even when prompted, do I need to whinge on... we’re not the only punters unhappy with the lack of service - hay-ho, they’re not doing themselves any favours in this day and age. If your experience is any better - great, but ours was flatter than a witches tit, and that’s slating witches that is.

I wasn't very happy with the customer service for many reasons. One of the main reasons was a down to the fact I got moved off a table which was not made reserved however when ordering my main course and drinks I was forced to move tables because the appointed table I was sat on was reserved, it was embarrassing in front of all the other customers in that day. I won't be coming back until I get an apology from this, i regularly go to brewers fayre burleydam for lunch and dinner with friends.

To the minute we walked through the door waited 10 minutes while the restaurant was empty to then be seated waiting for a waitress to serve only to find out we had to go the bar to order after we took it upon ourselves to go an find a waitress and ask. The whole experience was just a joke! Fair to say we won’t be going back!!!

Our experience tonight was awful. We waited 1hr for food after being told by a staff member the carvery was no good! We saw a tabke.bext to us have all the meals bar 1 brought out and about 40mins later the final meal. We then went to order pudding to be told they had ran out when we could see the food in the cabinet to which one of the waiters lied to my husband and said the cakes were fake! We then asked a chef who said they were fresh but it was the end of the day so they were probably all going to be thrown out as this happens every day. I counted 25 puddings in that case that were refusing to be sold to us and were going to be binned which is a tragic waste food. Safe to say we won't be returning

Ordered chicken bacon salad , waited an hour . Sorry not worth waiting for , 10 of us , waited 10 mins extra for mine , chicken was chewy and bacon hard , cucumber soggy in the middle had to ask for dressing . Staff run off there feet , one person serving at the bar , queue round the corner .

I went with family and we were told that there was a 40 minute wait for food as they where busy, which was fine with us. Our starters arrived after 25 mins. We then had to wait a further hour and a quarter before our mains arrived, having watched some groups arrive after us and leave, whilst we where sat waiting. Another couple sat on the next table, had to ask 3 times for their child's desert before it eventually arrived, and another family group stormed out after waiting for over an hour for their child's desert. We made a formal complaint through their website, and yet still after over 3 weeks, we have not had a response to our complaint. Total lack of customer care and service. They don't even deserve 1 star.

Some of the party had to wait an hour for food then when rest of us went for food from chefs counter, not enough there for everyone on my table, let alone anyone else wanting it and it looked as though it had been there all night. Had to wait for more food, so by then, the others had nearly finished their meals. Staff then transferred the fresh food into serving dishes with his hands Nice! Asked for a refund. Told someone would be coming to see us. Waited and waited. Had to ask again for someone to give a refund. Not the first time I have complained about food there. Only went back for a friend’s anniversary. Never again!

We ordered at 14:06 to be told there was a 45 min wait that was fine kids could play and adults could have a chat while we waited. We waited for an hour and 10mins by this time the kids where starving and fed up of waiting. So I went and asked how much longer. Was told they would be out in 10 mins and sure enough 2 adult meals where brought. But that was it! We waited another 35mins for kids meals and 2 other adult meals to turn up after I went and asked for a 2nd time. By this time our family had already eaten. Not only that but when our 6 year old daughters meal arrived a hot dog the bun was that hard you could break a window with it!!
