Wonderful building and just the right atmosphere for afternoon tea. Lovely food and attentive staff. Will call again when I am in town.

Went in for lunch as I have always had drink in browns but never eaten before. Food was great , service from Aimee was fantastic. Would definitely eat in here again. ��

The staff most friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble they helped my daughter and I in with her wheel chair and brought our drinks and bar snacks to our table. Will definitely visit again when next in Manchester.

The building is nothing short of stunning inside. The Food in my experience is great quality and good value . The staff too are very attentive,pleasant and efficient. All in all GREAT !! Try it, you won’t be disappointed!! 😊👍

Steaks were amazing . I love my steaks when traveling to the US and have never had a good steak in the UK . Browns changed that , best steak I have had in the UK �.

I thought the Liverpool one was the best....until I visited the Manchester one! The building is stunning inside. Perfect atmosphere, fabulous food, definately will be visiting again.

I Had the lunch time menu. The soup was very tasty. The chicken and ham pie was delicious and a good size portion. The potatoes creamy and i ordered a side portion of mushrooms because no veg was served with meal. I enjoyed the sweet. I really like the interior of this place.

Good evening Browns, I have just been in the private room for my mum's 70th and I can praise the staff enough.



From the out set they could not do enough, they decorated the room and took the cakes from us and brought them through with candles lit.

Food was lovely. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Don't agree with the surcharges on the bill. We always tip well no need to stick it on the bill

We came as a party of 14 on Saturday and we left feeling pretty let down. Firstly, we asked what sandwhiches would be on the Afternoon Tea and the waiter basically shrugged his shoulders and said "maybe cheese, ham, cucumber" -last time I checked ham was a meat. It eventually came and we had one less sandwhich each than everyone else, one of them simply had 1/8 of a tomato on it. We also noticed we didn't get the red velvet cake like the standard afternoon tea-it was lemon cheesecake instead and when i asked the waiter do we not get the red velvet he simply answered no. No offer to exchange it. His attitude was pretty much like he didn't want to be there.

After this, we asked could a taxi be booked for some of our party and they said it was 3 minutes away so we left those 3 people of the party. When we met up with them it appears that when asked about the taxi, the waiters knew nothing about it and it hadn't bene sorted. To add to this, when they paid their bill they were given and old five pound note as change-which consequently could not be used anywhere.

So overall we were pretty let down when we came, and I personally won't be coming again .

Not the best menu, poached egg wasn't soft, steak was a little dry and sauce was a little thick. We were asked to leave the table even though we hadn't finished the cocktails which we had ordered from the dessert menu because they needed the table even though there was plenty of empty tables, doubt there will be a second visit

We have been here many times . Yesterday, was a quiet Saturday afternoon, I ordered rhubarb gin and my husvand had a beer. After finishing our drinks we ordered again this time my husband noticed it was blue saphire gin with rhubarb cordial added after questioning the bar tender he was told they had no rhubarb gin and this was the same thing .... no it isn't and we would not know if he had not been vidulant and when he said so he was spoken too abruptly like it was his fault.

If they had said there was no rhubarb gin but this was an alternative fine but no they didn't

We did get the gin free but this is not the point ( trades description)

2 more members of staff spoke to us like we were causing an issue ... but poor customer service they did not know if I had an allergy etc

SHOCKING EXPERIENCE, music should not be super loud at 7:30pm!! So loud the waiter couldn’t hear us order our food , had to disconnect the speaker as so loud ,being served burnt food and the waiter knew it , left before even taking a mouthful

Will not be back!!!

Had to leave Brown's - stressful and dreadful - I will be composing a serious complaint email in the morning!
