Bucks Eco Furniture has been developed by Alan Cooper Cabinetmaker Ltd. to increase the emphasis of ecological manufacture by the skilled cabinetmakers in Alan’s workshop in Ford, near Aylesbury, through a greater use of ecologically sourced materials and more efficient routines.
Alan qualified as a furniture designer and cabinetmaker in 1984, having studied design and craftsmanship at Rycotewood College, which, at that time was in Thame, Oxfordshire. After gaining further experience with Quainton Cottage Furniture, he set up his own workshop which started near Waddesdon in 1993 making a very wide range of furniture and joinery, especially oak and hand-painted bespoke fitted bedrooms to high specification.
