Firefighters from Dogsthorpe Black Watch were joined by Assistant Chief Fire Officer Rick Hylton and Cambridgeshire Constabulary Deputy Chief Constable Alan Baldwin to present a cheque for more than Β£1,400 to the Road Victims Trust.
The money was raised at the Blue Light Football Tournament, which took place in May at Peterborough United's ABAX Stadium and featured teams from police, fire and East of England Ambulance Service.
Four teams took part, with the police team ove...rcoming the fire service team in the final to win the tournament.

As always a HUGE thank you and well done to all of our crews and combined fire control, who have coped brilliantly with the increase in demand and gruelling working conditions.

We were joined once again by the 501st Combat Support Wing from USAF Alconbury on Wednesday π They attended a fire in Ramsey Heights with their water tanker, supporting our firefighters by supplying water to a large fire in the open, involving around 40 acres of farmland!
Details of the incident are here: http://bit.ly/2M2o4TT

Very good service they do.
Took my boys to Huntington fire station yesterday after winning a competition on here - which we also won a Lego set-
The crew at the station was very welcoming and showed us around- my boys had a go on the hoses (which they loved) and we got shown all the equipment in a fire engine! They throughly enjoyed it- and although our tour was cut short due to an emergency- it was fantastic to witness how quickly they respond and leave the station (approx 30seconds!) which even gave us a bit of an adrenaline rush watching!
So thank you to everyone that organised this for us and the crew for being so absolutely brilliant!
My son now wants to be a fireman! οΏ½
Be safe guys! οΏ½οΏ½
Thanks for your help today with our stranded cat. Big shout out to Dale and the team who came out.
Thank you to the Dogsthorpe Fire Team for your awesome help late last night, my son was safely recovered after 1.5hrs of being trapped and our village is alight with gossip this morning!! #bathroomantics #lockeddoornomore
Thank you to Robert and the team at Huntingdon fire station for my grandson Max's visit today. We had an amazing time and we appreciate everything u did to make his visit amazing.
Thank you for the "have a go" day. Good experience. It helped me appreciate even more the hard work firefighters do to benefit the community!
Thank you all so much for helping on thursday when my house went up in flames. Walton peterborough. I believe it was a it a ground and dogsthrope crew. Thank you all so much for saving my cats. And doing everything you could. Thank you all again. From Lauren and her 4 children. My son thought you was all amazing.
Thank you Black Watch, Cambridge for rescuing my dogs and saving my home from major damage yesterday evening. Your speedy response averted a disaster
Terrific speedy and calm response; I can't thank you enough for rescuing my cat from a situation he couldn't have got out of.
My 3 yr old daughter and I were at an Ely car wash today.
She was excited when a fire engine parked nearby, at the filling station.
The team encouraged us to come and get a closer look.
The fire fighters really welcomed her, showing her hoses, equipment and inside the cab.
I was overwhelmed by their friendliness and generosity with their time, in spite of whatever they'd encountered so far on shift.
Thank you very much
Many different things on offer at today's open day to engage the children (And grown ups). It was a great day and amazing to see a snippet of the work you do in the smoke house. Thankyou all so much for an amazing day.
I took my two grandchildren to Sawtry Fire Station. What an experience for them, the firemen were wonderful. They used the hose, tried on a fireman's hat, climbed on the engine and saw the lights flashing. Jake now has a fireman's uniform and wants to be a fireman. They do a wonderful job. Thank you.
Great and fast response to a van on fire on dickens street, peterborough last night. The engine and cab alight. Got there within 5mins of my call to police and fire even if I was stuttering like crazy. Without the fire engine and fire brigade more cars and trees would have caught fire so thank you. The crew that attended that fire deserves a cuppa tea :)
Fast response today for my next door neighbours whos cooker was a light thank you lads great job x
Awesome day thanks for volunteering your weekend for this cause - my son loved it.
A huge thank you to Red Watch at Parkside Fire Station in Cambridge for having the 11th/9th Cambridge Cubs for a visit! We had an amazing time and think you guys are fantastic! Thank you Red Watch!
