What an amazing place!!!

Our fur baby Milo was diagnosed with hip dysplasia in February 2016 at just 12 months old. The vet gave no alternative to a £6000 hip replacement. Thankfully we got a 2nd opinion. Our new vet explained everything, drew diagrams and got books out to help us understand what the diagnosis meant. It was then we heard of hydrotherapy for the first time. As it was non invasive we decided to give it a shot, we didn't hold out much hope. How can a bit of swimming help? HOW WRONG WERE WE???

With the help of Steve and his amazing staff Milo has gone for strength to strength. No limping, no pain and can now jump (something he could never do before).

Milo soon progressed to the treadmill from the pool and that's where he's stayed to this day. He has weekly sessions and will have for life. He loves his sessions.

Our advice to anyone who thinks, as we did, it won't work is TRY IT!! It may well be the best decision you'll make.

One other bonus, as all sessions are so closely monitored, any problems will be picked up immediately and can be dealt with long before we would notice.

Steve, you and your staff are amazing and we can't thank you enough.

We had our first taster session yesterday and to my amazement he loved it! This is a dog who hates rain, puddles, and especially bathtime! He had a go at both the pool and treadmill and a plan of action has been agreed - and we’re coming back twice a week for a couple of weeks to get him started on the road to improved fitness and stronger hindlimbs.

I would recommend anyone with a dog who has even slight mobility issues to get themselves booked in for a go and see what can be achieved! I cant wait to see Winstons progress and I’m excited for his future - thank you! 🤗

The staff are friendly helpful and informative. Ruth is fantastic and every session is about pagan and her wellbeing couldn’t ask for better

Shona is an absolute star, My dog, Xena had elbow displacia, so had hydro therapy as rehabilitation. Absolute brilliant service, Xena loves it and we are keeping it up to ensure her fitness and muscle tone. Couldn’t ask for better staff.

Our dog Dylan is going to the hydro for the second time in his lifetime. He initially went in 2015 after a cruciate injury and is there again for the same reason.

They tried him in the treadmill to start with, this time, but due to his fixation with grabbing at the water they changed tactics and let him go in the pool which he loves. I was really impressed that they were flexible enough to make this decision.

It is helping him immensly physchologically as well as physically. Thank you.

Our beautiful 3 legged Doberman has been for 2 sessions of laser and hydrotherapy and she's loving it. Lola lost her front leg 5 years ago and managed fantastically without it up until last year when her remaining leg started to show the strain � now she has limited mobility and at the age of 9 is struggling to do very much walking at all. I contacted Steve at Canine Health & Hydro a couple of weeks ago and after his speedy response Lola has already had an assessment, taster session in the pool and is now looking forward to her third lovely laser treatment and dip in the pool chasing a pink donut ���� we're all feeling hopeful for another summer with our lovely lass Lola barking at the passers by from our front garden thanks to Steve and the wonderful friendly team x

My boy Brahman (Bram) has multiple problems with his legs,he’s been having laser and hydro for 5 weeks now,there has been a good improvement in them 5 weeks,he was nervous at first but now he falls asleep while having laser and can’t wait to get in the pool with Helen,thank you so much guys xx

Me and poppy came for our first session yesterday Poppy did so well, lots more rehab to go so fingers crossed, the staff were lovely really welcoming and understanding �

I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. I would recommend to anyone. Lovely staff and very professional service.

I cannot thank steve and the whole team for what they done for monty my 9 year old staffy. Diagnosed with multiple disc problems and elbow dysplasia, my boy was struggling. And so was I! It's not been an easy journey, but thanks to intensive inpatient treatments initially and now twice weekly visits for hydrotherapy and klaser treatments, my boy is back! We are still building his walks and his treatments will continue, but I no longer need shares in Kleenex. I cannot rate or recommend health and hydro highly enough. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

For anyone questioning if cats can hydrotherapy, my advice is try it. The staff have professional techniques with thorough support given. Slowly this is helping my cat, and already she has shown progress.

Harry had his first taster session today and loved being in the pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful and he is now booked to go back for a further ten sessions.

Gabriel has now been attending Canine Health and Hydro for over a year now. In that time his Hip Dysplasia has significantly improved and is now more or less cleared. He loves the Hydrotherapy and the staff, to such an end that even though his 2 x 10 sessions have sorted his problem, we continue to take him there every other week, as it is more than clear that he benefits every single time. We see it when he runs and plays outside. Now he also goes in the treadmill every other visit to fine tune his gate. Each time is followed by a good shower and a dry. I cannot recommend Canine Health and Hydro enough. A superb organisation with the care and health of dogs their first priority.

Daisy our 3 year old black Labrador was diagnosed with patella laxation and hip dysplasia earlier this year. Due to complications with anaesthetic etc.. she can't have an operation to fix her knee, so hydro was the next best thing, she has had 17 session in the water treadmill so far. We visited our vet a couple of weeks ago and she said Daisy's muscles in her knee have been built up so well her knee cap doesn't move at all, she was very impressed with the work everyone at canine health and hydro have done with daisy. We are visiting every other week now and still have a way to go but daisy is improving all the time, she loves going and gets so excited when you ask her if she's going swimming and starts to cry at the top of the lane. We can't thank everybody enough, all the staff have made us all feel so welcome and they are so helpful and daisy loves everybody there. Thank you Lindsey, Damon, Shirley & of course Daisy � � x

Buddy looks amazing after his pamper session yesterday �� he is already looking forward to his next visit! Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely brilliant time with Gibson today at Howgill! Ruth was amazing explaining everything really, clearly and was great with Gibson! He’s 13 and never been in water and took to it brilliantly. He had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back next week �

Absolutely amazing they have been fantastic with blades rehabilitation after his TTA op & he's now on a maintenance plan. Can't recommend enough !

Shona is an absolute star, My dog, Xena had elbow displacia, so had hydro therapy as rehabilitation. Absolute brilliant service, Xena loves it and we are keeping it up to ensure her fitness and muscle tone. Couldn’t ask for better staff.

Our dog Dylan is going to the hydro for the second time in his lifetime. He initially went in 2015 after a cruciate injury and is there again for the same reason.

They tried him in the treadmill to start with, this time, but due to his fixation with grabbing at the water they changed tactics and let him go in the pool which he loves. I was really impressed that they were flexible enough to make this decision.

It is helping him immensly physchologically as well as physically. Thank you.

Our beautiful 3 legged Doberman has been for 2 sessions of laser and hydrotherapy and she's loving it. Lola lost her front leg 5 years ago and managed fantastically without it up until last year when her remaining leg started to show the strain � now she has limited mobility and at the age of 9 is struggling to do very much walking at all. I contacted Steve at Canine Health & Hydro a couple of weeks ago and after his speedy response Lola has already had an assessment, taster session in the pool and is now looking forward to her third lovely laser treatment and dip in the pool chasing a pink donut ���� we're all feeling hopeful for another summer with our lovely lass Lola barking at the passers by from our front garden thanks to Steve and the wonderful friendly team x

My boy Brahman (Bram) has multiple problems with his legs,he’s been having laser and hydro for 5 weeks now,there has been a good improvement in them 5 weeks,he was nervous at first but now he falls asleep while having laser and can’t wait to get in the pool with Helen,thank you so much guys xx

I cannot thank steve and the whole team for what they done for monty my 9 year old staffy. Diagnosed with multiple disc problems and elbow dysplasia, my boy was struggling. And so was I! It's not been an easy journey, but thanks to intensive inpatient treatments initially and now twice weekly visits for hydrotherapy and klaser treatments, my boy is back! We are still building his walks and his treatments will continue, but I no longer need shares in Kleenex. I cannot rate or recommend health and hydro highly enough. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Located in a beautiful place, with amazing supportive staff that are helping heal my Peaches through hydrotherapy and soon to be Lazer.

For anyone questioning if cats can hydrotherapy, my advice is try it. The staff have professional techniques with thorough support given. Slowly this is helping my cat, and already she has shown progress.

So so happy! And highly recommend to all animal lovers.

Harry had his first taster session today and loved being in the pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful and he is now booked to go back for a further ten sessions.

Gabriel has now been attending Canine Health and Hydro for over a year now. In that time his Hip Dysplasia has significantly improved and is now more or less cleared. He loves the Hydrotherapy and the staff, to such an end that even though his 2 x 10 sessions have sorted his problem, we continue to take him there every other week, as it is more than clear that he benefits every single time. We see it when he runs and plays outside. Now he also goes in the treadmill every other visit to fine tune his gate. Each time is followed by a good shower and a dry. I cannot recommend Canine Health and Hydro enough. A superb organisation with the care and health of dogs their first priority.

Daisy our 3 year old black Labrador was diagnosed with patella laxation and hip dysplasia earlier this year. Due to complications with anaesthetic etc.. she can't have an operation to fix her knee, so hydro was the next best thing, she has had 17 session in the water treadmill so far. We visited our vet a couple of weeks ago and she said Daisy's muscles in her knee have been built up so well her knee cap doesn't move at all, she was very impressed with the work everyone at canine health and hydro have done with daisy. We are visiting every other week now and still have a way to go but daisy is improving all the time, she loves going and gets so excited when you ask her if she's going swimming and starts to cry at the top of the lane. We can't thank everybody enough, all the staff have made us all feel so welcome and they are so helpful and daisy loves everybody there. Thank you Lindsey, Damon, Shirley & of course Daisy � � x

Absolutely brilliant time with Gibson today at Howgill! Ruth was amazing explaining everything really, clearly and was great with Gibson! He’s 13 and never been in water and took to it brilliantly. He had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back next week �

Absolutely amazing they have been fantastic with blades rehabilitation after his TTA op & he's now on a maintenance plan. Can't recommend enough !
