Loyalty Card Scheme
Sadly all good things must come to an end and we will no longer be issuing loyalty cards with effect from 30th September 2012. Stickers will still be given to holders of existing cards and the cards will always be valid.
We have no run the scheme for over a year and many thousands of divers have benefitted from free entries. We hope that you, our customers have enjoyed the benefits; keep watching this space for new savings to be had next year.

This was my 2nd time at Capernwray fantastic diving and a great set up

What are the giant fish swimming in there?

I took my daughter scuba diving on Wednesday 6th Sep 2017 ... sat in the cafe and felt secure she was safe / the site us lovely and clean / friendly service in the cafe and felt welcome to sit and watch

I came yesterday with my dive partner who happens to be afraid of rocks so to his surprise when we dropped down to the bottom there were rocks all over the place and wellll with the rocks and the fact he was cold in his wetsuit made him shit himself underwater luckily it drifted the opposite way to me however there were two oncoming divers who swam straight through the sewage. On a brighter note though the vis was good and lots to see

Hi, me and my friends Swim here, the clear waters are Soo lush , plus swimming over the divers is totally awesome, the hot showers and changing rooms are a huge bonus, then we have our compulsory Bowl of Chips , love the chips here , and the famous carrot cake, nom nom nom.... definitely the place for swimming.

Had a great time there, the lake is the best I've ever dove in. It had changing with shower, a shop with all you need. Great

Had a fantastic day on Sunday,with my son Damian & grandchildren it was very busy but everyone was great kids loved the snorkelling.damian enjoyed himself people where so friendly.lovely food served sorry to here they are closing.can anything be done to help them carry on.regards pauleen

Great diving site.perfect in every world.Awsome to dive there.Very clean and tidy pleace.staff is very kind and helpfull.

First time here friendly staff very helpful explained where things where will be back next week end for sure . water visibility very good lots to see bit cold if no under suite my fault . did 2 dives both good lots more to see and do would recommend to any diver good day out.

First open water swim for me today..and what a place to start.. as part of triathlon training as I'm doing more open water events soon. Excellent facility .. Beautiful location..affordable .. Beautiful clean water.. good cafe .. worth the drive.. Will continue to use

Completed my Open Water course here with Aquatech at weekend and had a great weekend. I also lost my mask in the water and some honest fellow diver found it and handed it into the shop ! So thank you to whoever that was - I only had it a day so was very chuffed to get it back !

Capernwray is constantly full of surprises you can go and dive one week and it is testing you all day and you feel like someone has pinched all the bits and you can go the following week and find things you haven’t seen in a long time and forgotten they were there oh just thought I’d mention a big thank you to all you guys that have put so much time in restoring the gnome garden after the morons who ever they are left their distructive mark it’s even more amazing now thanks

Place is for a scuba divers, water is alright, we did 2 dives, and the second one was a bit warmer =) water temp 17 =)

Absolutely love this place, only my 3rd time here it can't get enough of it. Really hope it keeps going when it's sold....

It's ok below the surface and above everything above is reasonable with some considerations.



Yes you have showers and changing arrangements but they are becoming tired and over used and need some amount of cleaning and maintenance.



Yes they have a very nice cafe but it probably is over priced because they they have a captive audience although the quality is fresh and extensive....greasy spoon it isn't.



The shop for dive gear is a bit pricey... if you investigate on line prices so hopefully they'll price match.



The price of £12 entry fee is, taking all things into consideration, very very reasonable for the depth offered the visibility and the in water topography and features.



Compare this to other inland dive sites in Yorkshire that charge £10 for 6m max or others that charge more for a lot less above and below



It still is and probably will be one of my favourite UK inland dive sites and worth the long journey from South York's every visit.

A great place to start diving or practice drills ....Food is good not the cheapest but can sit down in your wet gear so that makes it worth it ....Staff are polite the water is good the price of spares are not pulling your eye balls out but if you need it you pay for it .....over all good .......
