💫🌙 New Moon vibes today as I travel down to London to stay with some of the most wonderful women in my life🌙💫 Although we only see each other a couple of times a year, when things get hard we rally around and support eachother. No questions asked. I'm looking forward to holding space for a friend this evening who really needs to be reminded of her worth and how to take care of herself! ❤

🌞🌴Retreat update - PANAMA CALLING! 🌴🌞
💛 As we only have two spaces left on my Ibiza retreat this September with @anandayogaibiza - I'm seriously considering hosting a seven day retreat in Panama in 2020 and would love to gauge interest from you all 💛
🌴I'm looking at Bocas Del Torro - a beautiful province of Panama comprising of an island chain off the Caribbean coast, plus a section of nearby mainland with biodiverse rainforest.
... 🌴 The retreat will take place either early March 2020 or end of October 2020
🌴I know these dates are pretty far off, but I want to throw them out there to give you plenty of time to plan a trip - after all you may want to spend more than just a week exploring this amazing part of the world.

Mandala Vinyasa & Yin - weekly class taught by Eirian Collinge
All forms of Yoga can be described as Yin or Yang based on which tissues of the body they target. A practice that focuses on exercising the muscles and moving blood in Yang. A practice that focuses on connective tissues is Yin. At this Mandala Vinyasa & Yin class the two styles of yoga will be intelligently blended together through a firm intention, such as an element (Fire, Air, Water, Earth) or Chakra. You will... start the practice by awakening your body slowly through deep, long held Yin Yoga postures focusing on a specific group of muscles, preparing you for the more dynamic, Yang like - Mandala Vinyasa flow. Following the main structure of Ashtanga Vinyasa, The Mandala Sun Salutes will move you in a spiralling way, 360 degrees around the mat – honouring the spiral patterns that nature uses to shape and create all the material and energetic substances in our bodies. �In the Standing / Seated section of flow, the poses will continue massaging the group of muscles focused on as you move towards a peak pose. In the closing sequence of Yin Yoga, you will make the transition from the outside to the inside, reaching a feeling of introspection as you seal in your energy through a deep, meditative Shavasana.

With a fun loving spirit, Eirian ensures her classes are playful and accessible, creating a safe environment where students can move freely, reconnect to themselves & feel empowered through their practice.
Eirian teaches a mixture of Yoga styles from Vinyasa Flow – a beautifully creative, dance-like style that links movement with breath, to Yin Yoga – a slow, grounding, ...deeply meditative style of practice.

🌸 April’s full moon is always named the pink moon because of the moss-pink flowers that appear during early spring 🌸
Anyone hoping to see a rose-tinted moon tonight will, however, be more likely to be greeted with a moon that is a pale shade of orange – weather permitting.
Depending on its position in the sky and the stage of its cycle, the moon can vary in colour due to atmospheric effects.
... When tonight's Full Moon appears above the horizon, Rayleigh scattering will cause the moon to appear orange to observers on the ground. The higher in the sky it rises, the lighter it appears.
The Full Moon is the energetic peak of the moon’s cycle and is a time when we can focus on manifesting, connecting to our intuition, and honing in on our spiritual practice. This phase is when we’re plugged in fully to the power of the moon, which rules over the subtle energetic body, our intuition, our connection to our inner world, shadows and emotions
This Pink Moon is in Libra which is all about equanimity and harmony. We are being asked to look towards the places where we are over-giving our time and energy as well as those where we can show up more. With ease rather than judgement, we can support ourselves in expanding into well-rounded higher versions of ourselves.

My dad just sent me this video. So I'm going to quickly share my thoughts based on my experience with IBS. It's great that awareness is being built about IBS and the benefits of Yoga - but what really needs to be shouted about is the very last sentence in the video, the BRAIN / GUT relationship. Not just the physical action of 'twisting' and stimulating the digestive system in a physical Yoga class.
I suffered from IBS for a while in my mid twenties. At the time I went to th...e doctors and paid for a private nutritionist and not one of them made the link between my stressful sales job, emotional wellbeing and my IBS. At the time I was literally locking myself in a toilet at work with horrendous pain in my stomach - not linking the obvious connection that I was physically exhausted and putting myself under loads of pressure to perform at work.
The Head, Heart and Hara (gut) all speak to each other as we work through our emotional and mental 'stuff' - and when we are stressed and anxious, for some people symptoms of IBS can be triggered
Yes a strong physical yoga practice has many many benefits but isn't always right if you're exhausted with stress, anxiety and burnout. Sometimes you need to allow yourself to slow down and do more relaxing practices like meditation, restorative yoga, Yin Yoga, pranayama (breathing exercises).
There is no right or wrong here, ultimately practicing yoga is a great tool to manage stress. I just wanted to point out that yoga isn't just about twisting and stimulating the digestive system like this BBC video is portraying.
