All residents of the parish are invited to attend our AGM. We are keen to recruit new members to the committee. If you are able to offer skills, experience, time or enthusiasm we want you! Come along to the meeting and have a chat with us. Please come into the Village Hall via the kitchen door and into the committee room.

Ping! Social Table Tennis – first session on Thursday 21 March The sessions will be in the Village Hall from 4 – 5 pm every Thursday, £2 per person or £5 for a family. Sessions are for anyone in the community age 7+ (younger children are welcome if accompanied by a family member over 12). Organised by Katie Hoggarth and Natalie Atkinson from school, there is no need to sign up in advance, just turn up and have a go. Please can we remind all our users to park in the rear car park whenever possible, leaving the street free for our neighbours to park near their homes? There is stepped access down from the car park to the back door (opened from the inside) and to the ginnel which leads around to the front of the building. If using the hall at the beginning/end of the school day (8.45 and 3.15) please be aware of young children on the lane. Thank you.

VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH VILLAGE HALL DECORATIONS On Wednesday evening between 6.30 - 8.30 pm, we will be decorating the inside of the Village Hall. The committee would be very grateful to anybody who is able to come and lend a hand, even if you can only manage half an hour or so it will help. Whether you are holding the drawing pins or climbing the ladder it will be a great help. Thank you.

Carleton Village Hall is looking to appoint a new caretaker for our busy hall. A key responsibility will be the regular maintenance of the wooden floor using the floor polishing machine, in addition to general housekeeping and odd jobs. A degree of flexibility is required to fit in around regular and ad hoc bookings. This is a paid position. A reminder that there will be no Dance Yourself Fit this evening. Susan will be back next Tuesday with another energetic dance routine.

The Village Hall Management Committee currently consists of eleven village residents. They are responsible for ensuring that the building is safe, well maintained and a user-friendly space for village events. The role of committee members is to maintain, improve and manage the hall and raise funds through bookings. The hall has bookings every day during term time and most days in the school holidays. There are regular users and lots of occasional users e.g. for parties, d...ances, etc. The bank balance is healthy and most of the work undertaken by the committee relates to maintaining and improving the fabric of the building. The committee meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 7 pm to discuss general management issues and how to improve the building and its facilities. There are many willing hands on the committee who look after the finance, the bookings and any minor problems such as plumbing and painting. However, the committee would very much welcome anyone who can offer some buildings expertise, whether this is masonry, electrical, architectural, surveying, planning or applying for grant aid. Could you be that expert? Dance Yourself Fit in Carleton Village Hall

All residents of the parish are invited to attend our AGM. Please come in to the Village Hall via the kitchen door and into the committee room.

On Saturday 19th November Carleton Village Hall will be running Skipton Town Hall Cafe. Open all day for tea, coffee and cakes, and pie & peas and quiche over the lunchtime period. Please call in for lunch or a snack and support our fundraising.
Any donations of baking would be really appreciated and can be left in the Village Hall kitchen on Friday 18th November between 7-9pm (during bowls). Helpers on the day would also be very welcome, even if you can only spare an hour. P...lease let us know if you can help.
