We went last Saturday we only phoned a couple of hours before we wanted our table, it was our granddaughters first birthday and we had done the kiddy party in the day but wanted a meal for us adults. There was 6 of us, the staff were amazing and looked after us even bringing us a knife and plates to serve the cake after our meal. All the food was perfect. Thank you guys we will be back soon

Just been here for my birthday meal. Would definitely go back. Between the 3 of us we had nachos, crispy chicken strips, ribs, fish, steak pie, chocolate fudge cake and apple pie. Couldn't fault any of them and reasonably priced as well. Service was excellent too.

It was our first visit and a spare of the moment thing. We can not fault it food, price, service was amazing. We have decided to treat ourselves every week there.

Came in last week and half the food was cold but it was sorted quickly and a glass of wine for free. Went last night and I can't fault the food or the service. Steak was perfect and I'm a fussy bugger. Standards are improving, well done guys x

Would never go again the food wasn't to bad it wasn't.to good either we ordered desserts and after half an hour they hadn't arrived when we enquired after them the waitress said she would chase them up after another quarter of an hour they came we.sked her what took so long we got told the kitchen staff had forgotten them so she did them for us when we got home we realised we should have got a free drink with our steaks which we didn't we never got told when the meals were ordered we were entitled to one when we rang and complained we got told by the duty manageress if you don't ask for one you don't get one I think lessons in customer service is much needed

Used to love going here, hadnt been in awhile so chose to go for a family meal for my mum's birthday. On arrival alot of tables where reserved (some over 2 hours before those using them actually arrived which seems to long for me). Anyway got a table and ordered food and drinks. Had to wait abit for food but expected it because of the time of year, when food finally came my sons burger had no cheese on it and was luke warm, my mother clucker order was also bordering on cold. My mum's was hot and my dad's was acceptable to a point. Mine and my sons were taking back and sorted out but by this time the other meals where half eaten. When it came to desserts my sons was ordered before anyone else's and still took over half an hour to receive, due to the time length we went back to the bar to check on them and add other desserts to the order, it then only took 5 minutes for all the desserts to come out together. I really think the kitchen is understaffed and can't handle the work load at this time of year. Through all the evening the staff were helpful and sorted out any issues but the staff member that went above and beyond was the young girl who seemed to be only a glass collector. She told us what seats where available, and checked to see if everything was ok after the disastrous start to the meal. It wasn't the celebration meal we was hoping for in all honesty and if it wasn't for my 5 year old keeping us entertained the evening would of been spoiled!

I was really shocked at the service we received they brought out our meals and were told we at to get our own knife and forks from indoors so we did then I asked one of the girls for mayo and was again told to go in and get it which I did only to be running round the pud to try and find some. There was 1 bottle with a dribble in. So twice I had to leave my meal and do the girls job for her. I don't normally sit outside but it's was a lovely day and I expected the service I normally get when sat indoors.

I wouldn't complain normally just a bit shocked when a meal for 4 plus drinks and desert comes at a price and we still had to run around for what should off been brought to us as part off a service.

We got recommends to come here, we went and ordered food and drinks. There was 4 of us.. 2 meals came and we waiting 10 minutes for them to bring our forks,knifes,sauces etc. We asked for them and waiting another 5 minutes for them to bring it all over. Finally bringing it over.. I cut my chicken and my chicken was stone cold but the rest of my food was boiling hot? The other 2 meals then came as I was complaining. I was then waiting around 15 minutes for them to bring my food back.. by the time they brought it back everyone else had finished eating. Wasn't happy.

And to say while we was waiting for our food 3 other people around us complained that their food was cold.

Messaged them on Thursday about a barely warm meal, thought we'd just been unlucky but reading other reviews it seems not! When and if we ever go again I'll be sure to get the food on a skillet to make sure it's got a chance of being hot. Not only was the food barely warm, they worked the same magic on a coffee and a pot of tea! The worst thing is that it's quite obvious no-one is bothered about complaints. Trip Advisor will be my next port of call about this establishment.

The coloured manager was very rude and abrupt towards us, and another member off staff (a much politer lady who’s name I wish I grabbed for commendation) had to apologise on her behalf as she was definitely not going to herself. After this, I was still sat around waiting for my meal whilst everyone else had mostly already finished theirs, to which a waitress finally came out and said “have you had your chicken tikka yet” and I said no, waited a further 10/15 mins and it finally arrived. Not one to moan, but the whole experience has put us off completely.. and it’s not the first time we’ve been in and noticed this particular manager being rude towards customers (other people’s reviews confirm this also).

My partners food also came out 10/15 minutes after everyone else’s and the waiter had too ask us to see if we have received the meal!

Booked for a large group had a phone call before hand sayin they were running out of steak so said we would only need two was told they would have enough to cover that got to the venue and was told they had none! We could have mixed grill but would need to be double gammon so we settled for that went to the bar to order to be told they have stopped takin mixed grill orders 😡 absolute joke communication is clearly not a high priority here. Food took nearly an hour to come food was lovely when it arrived but all over review not great !!

Went there yesterday ordered two meals mike didn’t get touched as it was warm and like rubber . Didn’t get no check back to see if our meals was ok or we needed anything . Very poor !

When it still hadn't arrived we were told that we only ordered 1??? Had to re order again only to be told we had to pay a different price. When we refused and said it was part of the deal, the coloured lady argued for a while before giving in, but by the time it arrived the other meal was cold. No apologies at all!! The lady was argumentative and clearly wasn't listening. The drinks she also charged one price for 2 drinks and when we ordered a second round it was a different price. When confronted she was adamant that she had charged correctly. Showed her the receipt and she snatched it off us, checked again and then simply said okay. Once again, rude and not apologetic. Wont be coming here again!!

Only called in for a drink with the family whilst the sun decided to come out. 1st round of drinks took about 15 minutes to get served, 2nd round took about 12 and that's after complaining about the lack of staff behind the bar. This pub has always been poorly managed. Still no change. Gold mine if run right.
