We are members of the Butterfly Conservation association and supporting the Big Butterfly Count. We have also been planting butterfly friendly plants over the past few years on the park which are now becoming well established. #butterflycount #lakedistrict @savebutterflies @bellamyparks www.castlerigg.co.uk

fantastic place....had many holidays here over the past 20 years, the very first in a touring caravan, all the others in a static....i never tire of it, its the most picturesque and peaceful setting. Hope its not going to be too long before i can return...really missed it

We have just stayed here in one of the pods for our 4th wedding anniversary and never have we been so relaxed as our honeymoon in the Maldives.

What a first class experience, it was so quiet, well kept and the cleanest place we have ever stayed (toilets and showers).

This place has everything you will ever need, breakfast, evening meal, bar, pizza, washing and drying facilities. A well stocked shop and every member of staff were friendly and eager to make your stay a perfect one.

Already looking at dates to return.

Well done guy's.

We have just spent 2 nights in one of the fab pods with our dog. The campsite is lovely and all the staff were really nice. I was particularly impressed with the shower facilities - they were very clean, spacious and felt private.

We absolutely loved how dog-friendly Keswick is and we’d all be very happy to come back. Thank you! From Ellie, Chris & Honey the dog x

This is a beautiful site in a stunning location perched on the hillside at Castlerigg Hall overlooking Derwent Water and Keswick below We stayed in our little caravan Lilly on pitch number 18 great size plenty of room caravan awning and car electric hook up water and drainage on the pitch well established with lovely trees bushes and surrounding grassed areas The sanitare is spotlessly clean well maintained by the friendly staff with great showers and potwashing facilities. The recycled waste point is well setup alongwith chemical toilet disposal The site is lovely and quiet with lots of local wildlife such as birds rabbits pheasants etc living amongst you The only downside was a rowdy family in one of the Pods behind us one night who decided to party until around 2am but they were swiftly dealt with by the Warden and Staff our peaceful locality resumed the following day and for the rest of our stay The reception staff are very friendly and helpful the shop well stocked with gifts and produce The on-site restaurant serves lovely food We started all our walks from the site we free wheeled down into Keswick on our cycles and rode back up the killer hill There is a bus stop at the end of the lane All in all a Fantastic site my only negative comment is that it is a tad on the expensive side but overall lovely highly recommended and we will be back

User

Lovely site with absolutely lovely staff Spent a few days there last week Pitched up in the top field with fantastic views but very sloping would be great with levelled pitches great facilities also Really wanted to use the restaurant which was closed till the Thursday then we fancied a take out from there but when I went in the chef looked decidedly stressed out, he did say he could do a take out meal for us with a wait, but I felt sorry for him so left it Will definitely pay a visit next trip

Best camping park I ever stayed in! All staff was lovely. The ladies in the mini market were always helpful, receptionists and the staff on the restaurant.
