CATS Alarms has been promoting Independence, Security and Peace of Mind across Oxfordshire since 1992. We rent out alarms to people living in their own homes so that if and when they need it they can summon help at the touch of a button 24 hours a day.

CATS Alarms was set up by Ken Strong in 1992 to offer rented telephone lifelines to private customers. They are particularly valued by elderly, frail or otherwise vulnerable people who want to continue living independent lives in their own homes but who welcome the added peace of mind of a telephone lifeline. Using the existing landline telephone and a normal electrical power socket, the alarm units are activated by a button on a pendant trigger, usually worn round the customers neck. So that if you have a fall and cant get up, you can summon help 24 hours of the day, 365 days of the year. CATS alarms have been described as wonderful, definite lifesavers, and great comforts. Since 2007, CATS has been owned and managed by Jeannie McGeehin, Ken's daughter.
