We had a surprise visit today from Chan Romero who wrote the Mersey Beat classic, ‘Hippy Hippy Shake’ in 1959.
The song was a regular feature in The Beatles’ early live repertoire and recorded several times for the BBC but it has become synonymous with The Swinging Blue Jeans who took it to #2 in the UK charts in 1964, becoming their biggest hit.
Chan will be appearing at the BME in Liverpool on the 29th June. Click the link below for more info 👇

We visited for a 70th on Saturday 16th June 2018 ...All 12 women had an amazing time! Jay Murray dedicated songs to our Mum, Sue, and got her to the front of the stage and all the club sang to her, ''Hey Sue'' (not Jude). In her words ''best time of my life'' A huge thanks to you all from the door and bar staff to Jay Murray and The Shakers for making her visit so memorable...We will definitely be back

User

Love it here. Only the second time I’ve visited but it’s just the best atmosphere. So much fun.

User

Just back to Portsmouth after a weekend in Liverpool to see The Cavern Club Beatles with 3 of my old schoolmates ... absolutely fantastic, we met some lovely people which made a great atmosphere... it was our second time at the club and last night was even better than the first... Brilliant night, the Fab Four were amazing and we will be back again soon..

User

I hadn’t been to Liverpool for 13 years and this was the first place I would have headed for after the Magical Mystery Tour if it hadn’t dropped me off there in the first place. It was extremely busy which is why the serving took a bit of time but was worth every minute just to be in there again. I am making a belated new year resolution to go back at least 3 times a year, more if I can cos I’m only two hours away. Had a great time in Liverpool. Muslims have MECCA - but we have LIVERPOOL!!

User

Had a fabulous time listening to Beatles music.. both musicians were awesome , so much to look at as far as memorabilia, highly recommend.

User

Great venue with a fabulous atmosphere. Had been told we would have to pay to get in as there is a charge on Fri and Sat, however was pleasantly surprised when that turned out to be £2.50 each

User

Great place and very lively, staff were very helpful and well worth a visit. Loved the live music too, look forward to going back in the future.

User

First trip to Liverpool, original trip was a victim of the snow and ice !

Well worth the wait.

User

Fantastic place with a great atmosphere, lots of different bands playing continually throughout the day and the music memorabilia is second to none.

User

An experience like no other. Truly hallowed ground, and a joyful time for all who enter!
