Our school is situated in an idyllic location in the Forest of Bowland, within an area of outstanding natural beauty, and at the centre of the village of Abbeystead. The school has a very long history. It was founded by William Cawthorne in 1664 and has been educating children ever since.

We are proud of our small size (maximum of 6 children per year group) as this means children receive individual attention which is modified to their needs, and are educated within a supportive, family atmosphere. We carefully monitor every child’s progress and give support to children when needed so we ensure everyone makes progress.
