O what a night !!!!!Another lovely evening The singer was amazing such a great atmosphere and brilliant crowd .All the bar staff work so hard to make sure you have a great night and we always do Thanks Chris, Rachel and all the team always a pleasure spending an evening in Champs

Had a lovely breakfast here would defo eat here again if we come back to Southport!

Came her with my nieces today (opening day) place is done out really well and is any sports lovers dream!

Staff where polite and attentive advising us on what food would be best for the little ones. I also have a nut allergy and they helped me through the menu to ensure what I ordered was but free! Food was fab! I ordered sticky ribs which where juicy and tender and the BBQ sauce was Delish! I also had sticky toffee pudding for desert which was fabulous and served in a tea cup with custard on the top! Thanks you champs had a lovely lunch and will be returning !!!

Brilliant food, great staff & perfect after a day on the beach

the food there is very nice...hot and service excellent ...i like rum and ginger beer..they did not have any ginger beer only ginger ale ,that goes in scotch not the same as beer ... but she went out and bought some for me,,,that is true service!!!!

Three of us had lunch there 7th March 2018, after visiting this pub several times in the past. Lunch hour wasnŌĆÖt over busy but the service was first class, after getting our drinks and settling down to check out the menu. There is a good choice of diverse foods to select from. Our choices where burger with cheese and bacon, a gammon meal and finally rump steak. All the three meals came with lovely chunky chips and the steak and gammon both came with onion rigs a piece of black pudding, tomato and mushrooms. More than enough for any carnivore. Whilst eating our meal, we had a visit from the chef to check if we where satisfied with our choices. Now I know this wouldnŌĆÖt happen if there was a lot of lunchtime punters. But a very welcome service from good staff, have to say the steak was perfectly cooked. And literally melted in ones mouth. Recommend anybody to take time to call in for lunch. Difficult to understand previous posts on here criticising the establishment and its food. As I said earlier we have been several times and never once been disappointed.

Not my favourite pub (personal choice) but have to say food is always spot on and would eat here and bring friends for food anytime.

Had a lovely breakfast here on Sunday morning, also watched a few matches with hubby, always enjoy it, will be testing out the evening food shortly .

First time, im not from area straight away so friendly and chatty. great pint of coors light and amazing facilities and p ool darts, food. Deals etc. Food planned on Friday. Reviews then are on standby

the food is nice, nothing spectacular or anything, just nice but the atmosphere is always lively and it is very accessible for those find such things difficult though it being better signed would be ideal.

Went into Champs to watch Man City v Liverpool game on 19th March. Had to wait 15mins to get first drink and other people were waiting much longer. Under staffed and staff on were doing best but they were overwhelmed. Big games need the extra staff on. Great venue though and an easy fix

Terrible place........went in for lunch which took over an hour for our starters ti come and when they did it was wring when I questioned the waitress she went off and checked returned by saying they are basically the same thing??? Really??? And then left us with the starter we didn't order (it was already paid for) no apology no nothing......shocking place and way too long to get served ’┐Į’┐Į

Took over 45 minutes for nachos, a burger and a hotdog to arrive when the pub was empty (chef sat at a table doing paperwork)when it arrived food looked good but was very bland and tasteless. Loaded nachos came but the topping ŌĆ£the loadedŌĆØ part can another ten minutes later. Manageress rather miserable too.

This pub is a total waste of time......

Extremely disappointing first impression - stood at Bar for 10 minutes waiting to place food order. After paying was informed it would be a 45 minute wait. Food came out after 45 minutes, the 'Ultimate Codfather' came out minus the chips. The waitress questioned that they were included! Then I realised the bread & butter was missing too. The 'Mixed Grill' was described as the 'All day Breakfast' ....confusing! To top it all the food was barely warm.

The Manager handled my complaint very professionally, admitted there were problems with staffing due to sickness & offered a full refund.

Came in for the rugby. Was in half an hour than 3 lads wanted man city game on so bar put that on despite numerous people watching the rugby and they couldnt operate the TV properly . It ain't a sports bar by any stretch of the imagination.
