In celebration of 21 years since opening,  Chancellors Hotel Manchester is delighted to be hosting a very special fundraising dinner with Lemn Sissay and Dave Haslam "In Conversation" - supporting The Lemn Sissay Foundation. Chancellors Hotel, - formally the home of Joseph Whitworth, has in it's history welcomed historic luminaries including Prince Albert, Charlotte Bronte and Mrs Pankhurst, as well as being home to C P Scott, the first editor of the Manchester Guardian, and ...home to many Vice Chancellors of The University of Manchester. Following an extensive refurbishment in 2017, the hotel boasts a spectacular conservatory overlooking private gardens, meeting and event suites and 72 bedrooms. The dinner is set to include welcome drinks, in partnership with Manchester Three Rivers Gin, a delicious Manchester themed four course dinner with wines, as well as a unique opportunity to hear Lemn Sissay and Dave Haslam reflect on their years in and around the city. Tickets will be available to purchase from 1/8/18 - standard and VIP, and incude a contribution to The Lemn Sissay Foundation - supporting a growing team of volunteers from the UK with one aim, to provide a brilliant Christmas Day  for young careleavers, young people aged 18-25 who have recently left the care system. These young people would otherwise be alone. The Christmas Dinner for care leavers was inspired by The Tope Project in 2012.  In 2013 the first Christmas dinner was held in  Manchester. In 2014 Manchester and Hackney. In 2015 Manchester, Hackney and Leeds and in 2016 a Christmas dinner took place for care leavers in Manchester, London, Leeds, Liverpool and Oxford.

Well what can I say we have just got home from the most amazing wedding day ever. The staff at the hotel was just lovely and couldn't do enough for all our guest. The food and service was so nice everybody made our day special. I also wanted to say a massive thank you to Lisa who made sure everything was correct from day one she was so helpful and easy to talk to and nothing was to much trouble X

We had our wedding with you yesterday. I can honestly not thank every single one of you enough. You were absolutely amazing in every single aspect. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing. Special mention to peter (our stormtrooper) and Lisa for getting everything into place for us

This is such a Beautiful Venue and was perfect for our wedding

The day was perfect from start to finish, gorgeous day, lovely food and good scenery

The Staff are brilliant and a credit to the Hotel

Very helpful staff.

Very nice hotel . Very helpful staff . Tasty breakfast . 5 min walk to local pubs found a good one called revolution ideal for great cocktail . Will definitely use this hotel again x

Very nice and helpful staff, also hotel was lovely, very modern feel to the whole place, would definitely recommend going, around 15 min taxi ride to the town and has local shops and restaurants and a few bars around 5-10 min walk away !

Thank you for making us feel very welcome at your hotel last night. We stopped one night. A clean hotel not just in the public areas but also throughout the rooms. Breakfast really good, the best I've had in a long time and I have stayed at many. The staff are also very polite, helpful and friendly. Thank you.

To say I was looked after is an understatement.

Great rooms, lovely friendly service and all accompanied by a great and delicious BBQ which the chef cooked in the rain! The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of buffet items to choose from and our whole group were looked after superbly. Thank you for a great stay in the wonderful city of Manchester.

Fabulous hotel! We stayed this weekend and had a lovely warm welcome from all the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, particularly George - nothing was too much trouble he was a star. Hotel itself was gorgeous, very modern and spotless. Great location yoo with the bus route just around the corner. Would definitely return in the future.

Cannot of asked for a more perfect wedding venue. Full credit to the chefs for there fabulous food, to the helpful and friendly staff and to Lisa for sorting everything for us the rooms looked beautiful. Apart from a bit more sunshine we could not of had a more fantastic day. We have had nothing but compliments about the venue and food from our guests.

Can we do it again next week!

Called in to chancellors for breakfast a couple of weeks ago as we have our wedding booked here later this year. We were hoping to have a look at some of the rooms that were occupied on previous visits. Sarah on reception was lovely and tried to help us herself, however instead she called Christine the housekeeping manager who came and showed us the rooms we wanted to see. Thank you x

I've lived in Fallowfield for 28 years always thought this place was private.

Really nice rooms, compact but comfortable and finished to a high standard. Gorgeous grounds. Staff were lovely.

Good value for money the room wasn’t massive but we only stayed one night so was perfectly adequate the bathroom and shower were lovely would stay again
