Chantlers Pre-School have operated within Chantlers Primary School Grounds for over 25 Years in a purposed built, self-contained building in the Elton area of Bury.
Children from birth upwards can be placed on our waiting list, however, we can only offer childcare for children aged 2 and a half years and upwards, with priority given to children on an age order basis.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and use this to provide a broad balance of adult guided and child initiated learning opportunities by operating a Key-person system in a happy, secure and caring environment. Additionally, each child has an individual learning and development plan, which parents can access 24 /7 using our secure online Learning Journey named Tapestry. We also follow the Letters and Sounds programme daily, which is a phonics based learning programme which is the basis for early reading and phonic awareness in preparation for school.
We pride ourselves on the continuity of care we provide, this is due to our long serving, dedicated staff. All staff are adequately qualified as early years practitioners to a minimum of level 3 up to degree level. Furthermore, all staff are paediatric first aid trained and hold many other relevant childcare qualifications. Continuous Professional Development of all our staff is of great importance to our setting, and we are proud to say that we were rated as "Good" by Ofsted in September 2015 under the new framework. We have a fabulous outdoor play area which is continuously developed with new equipment frequently added.

Full time places are available on request. Please note, this does not include a lunchtime meal, a packed lunch must be provided by parents /carers.

*8. 45 am - 3. 45 pm (full time)
or 3 hour sessions
8. 45-11. 45 am or 12. 45-3. 45 pm. (part time)
