Well done to our European Women, bringing home the Solheim Cup for the first time since 2013! What a weekend of watching it has been, and congratulations to our own Mel Reid for her involvement as vice captain 🏆⛳

Kicking off a double trophy weekend with Pavoir Trophy today and following up with Memorial Plates tomorrow, before we start a whole new week with our Seniors Open Monday 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

We hope everyone that played in Tiny Tim Charity Golf Day enjoyed their day. The winners on the day were the team “more than - once a year” from Sheffield with 93 points. “The Beginners” won the John Milner trophy for best Mixed/Ladies team.

We are still in full summer swing for our events as our team here at Chevin are in full preparation for our annual Tiny Tim Golf Day, tomorrow. We hope it stays dry and everyone playing has a great day!

This time last week on Bank Holiday Monday our members visited Stratford Golf Club as part of our mutual 125 years celebrations. 19 pairs from each club took part in a social shotgun alliance on a beautiful sunny afternoon and they had a fantastic day. Well done to John and Heather Polglass and Clive and Esme Blockley who won a unique 125th anniversary gin glass engraved with both clubs coats of arms. We hope to see Stratford again soon and host a similar event with them at Chevin next year ⛳🏆

We start the weekend with our annual Will Sheppard Memorial Trophy today, continuing with our Sunday Stab and hosting Derbyshire County Golf for their match. Fingers crossed it stays dry and good luck to everyone playing across the events 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

We continue our events internally, today we have our American Greensome Frank Rogers memorial golf competition and our 40s themed social evening tonight. Our members are extremely busy this week, two of our ladies have been playing at Kings Norton for the 2019 Women England Golf Trust Stableford Pairs yesterday. Libby Harrison and Dawn Gray played brilliantly and came 3rd with 39points.
